This may very well be the happiest place on earth, no offense to Mickey Mouse. Ever since I was a child I've loved stickers, drawing, colorful things, journaling -- all those types of things. I got my very own set of personalized stationery when I was 13 and thought I was THE SH*T (Reader: I was, in fact, not.). My first job was at a gift shop and my favorite part was wrapping presents. Walking into Broadway Paper was like going to Mecca. HUGE selection of gift wrap. Gorgeous pens all in a row. Stickers. Notebooks. Plushies. Gifts for everyone on your list. Wisconsin merch. Everything is so colorful and happy. I could have easily gone broke in there but limited myself to a handful of cards, a Christmas ornament, and a vinyl sticker. I thought the prices were fair -- I've seen similar cards on Etsy for the same price. I would 100% come back here next time I'm in MKE. read more

I absolutely love this place in the Third Ward. Your go to stop for all things gifts, cards, stationary, and decor for any occasion. There are so many unique products here and the card selection is to die for! Some things are a little overpriced but that's normal for the area. The check out line is always quick and the staff is helpful with finding anything you need. read more

Such a cute stationary store! We were strolling down Broadway when we stumbled upon this super cute shop. When you walk in, they have a mailbox for you to purchase a stamp and mail a postcard to send to someone. They have locally designed artwork, and Milwaukee branded goodies. From pens, to stationary, to cards and more. They also have a decent pet and themed sections. You can personalize invitations, gift boxes and more. The sky is the limit! We bought a few gifts for family and friends, and looking forward to visit again soon. read more

This is better than any chain gift shop. Their location is in the Third Ward is great and they have a huge space. Shop local and you'll get great Milwaukee/WI themed items. I love their selection of cards and seasonal items. I went in last week and loaded up on some paper goods for the holidays and gifts for folks. I think their pricing is pretty standard when it comes to cards and the brand they sell. Staff is always nice and I love when they do pop-ups! read more

If you like fancy stationery, cards, prints, pens, gift wrap and don't mind the price, this place is for you! There are some Milwaukee/Wisconsin specific cards as well if you're planning to commemorate a trip here. Old building = not awfully accessible (stairs right when you walk inside). Still, worth a gander if you can make it in. read more

Look your in the third ward, arguably Milwaukees chic area. This stationary store has a cool space with its exposed brick walls, wood beam/ceilings all the while you've got alternative rock in the background what's not to like. And did I mention all the pretty stuff they have for sale(see pics). There's nothing here of necessity, what they do have is food for your soul. Besides how many paper stores are there around? read more

Broadway Paper...how do I love thee? Let me count the ways... You have to reference something classic and timeless when it comes to Broadway Paper. The store is a vessel of classic and timeless goods. It has an elegant selection of cards and gifts that pay homage to writing, art and creativity. Most people know Broadway Paper as THE Source for wedding invitations and that it is, if you are into that sort of thing. The selection of things to make and design custom invitation is endless. Knowledgeable staff can meet with you. I love to visit when I'm looking for greeting cards. They have an amazing selection of unique, one of a kind cards that have perfect sentiments. Recently I was looking for a card to accompany a "pay it forward" expression and a colorful card with the phrase "I'm a grown-a$$ lady and I do what I want" will be perfect for the individual its intended for. I have found cool gifts there too. A book of sports leadership quotes made a great Father's Day gift for my dad. The "Texts From Last Night" one page a day calendar for my best friend. A beautiful, relatively inexpensive journal for a friend who was on a journey of personal improvement to record her achievements. Make a trip to Broadway Paper on a whim. You will be glad you did and will find many reasons to return! read more

I just pop by here it's across the street from the hotel I was staying at. So many wonderful cards and paper products. I know if I lived here I would be a frequent shopper. I love stationery and thought I should check out this place. I enjoyed browsing this shop and found some lovely cards and notebooks.

I love this store! It is so much fun to stop in with friend to look at the stuff together. The store is filled with a ton of themed tables of items that make great gifts, or lets be honest, gifts for yourself. Some of the themed tables are cats, dogs, girl power/inspirational women, Milwaukee, wedding, bachelorette/bridal party, birthday, gifts for that man in your life, childrens gifts and so much more. They also have several coffee table books that are fun to take a look at. There really is something for everyone! In addition to all the gift options there is an endless supply of funny and adorable, not to mention impeccably made, cards. I've easily spent 20 minutes alone just looking at the cards. You'll also find wrapping paper and gift bags for any occasion. I have never bought any of their paper/paper supplies, but have perused the paper and it is gorgeous. It seems like an excellent place to go for paper for custom cards or invitations. read more

Seriously the cutest stationary/paper place I have been to in a while. i am from CA and there's not that many great ones out there in the West. In the entrance there was this cute Christmas display made with all paper products; so beautiful! This is such a well-lit and large store that I was in there for about an hour simply perusing and admiring everything. Environment - clean, friendly, light, airy. I loved everything about this place. I felt really comfortable browsing on my own and not once did I feel burdened to speed up or leave because I was being a slow-poke. Shelving for all products is nicely done and there's ample space for standing around and admiring. Products - cutest products ever. I love that they carry Kate Spake and other high-end, beautiful products. I love the hand-made products. They even have one series of children books here that I loved when i was a child. Christmas shopping, any day shopping.. whatever shopping this place is the place to be. Come here and get your paper goods :) read more

Broadway Paper makes stationary and cards cool again. The place is filled with adorable, thoughtful, and unique cards, along with other fun paper products like journals, notepads, and amazing wrapping paper. They also sell tons of fun knick knacks and small gifts, so if you need a last minute present to pair with a card, look no further. I would note that parking in the Third Ward can be frustrating, and some might think the prices are a bit high for the cards. However, I think this place is worth the trip and the price - everything is beautiful in here, and the though behind the items are so sweet. One of my favorite stores, hands down. read more

This place is really fun. I love the art of letter writing and they have lots of paper that you can choose from to write letters to your friends. In addition they have wrapping paper that is unique and journals and so much more! They also offer services for parties and weddings for you to design your own. I could not imagine a more fun place to work. The staff was very friendly. I will definitely be back! read more

I think I've mentioned this in pretty much every review I've ever written about paper stores, but I have a serious addiction to all the things they sell in these establishments... Quirky cards? I buy them for future use and stash them away. Fun notebooks? I have 30. Odd books with quotes about manners or some such thing? Sure, why not. Kid books for my toddler? Definitely. Broadway Paper did not disappoint in any of the arenas I mentioned above as well as others. If you live in MKE and need any sort of stationary or card for, seriously, any occasion then I suggest you hop on over to Broadway Paper and check out their selection. It's a big store with lots of selection and I bet there is something there for almost any purpose that would require paper. read more

This a very nice paper store with a huge selection of cards, journals, special order printing, letter press, calendars, etc. etc., in a very large and handsome space. I ended up with some cool wrapping paper and much to Gayle's surprise resisted any journal purchases. read more

I just can't shop here anymore. I love supporting local businesses, but Broadway Paper sells maybe one or two things that are uniquely-Milwaukee. Everything else is available--for at least half the price--online at Paper Source. I've happily paid a few dollars more at a local shop for a product--I understand there's markup. But a 500yd roll of red & white baker's twine costs $7.95 online. Broadway Paper charges $35.00. Come on. And I could look past their tremendous markup (they are located in the Third Ward, after all), but their customer service is awful. Dismissive, rude, slow and just not helpful. Bad service is a total deal breaker for me. read more

While they have a nice assortment of papers and what-not, their staff is not nice. Ordered something awhile back and picked it up. When home I opened it up to discover that Broadway Paper had ordered the wrong item. My receipt said the correct item but they gave me the incorrect item. Tried to return it but they refused because it was opened. Ripoff. Judging from another recent Yelp review, it appears that Broadway Paper is experiencing some issues and is not customer-centric. read more

Where do I go when I am feeling down? This place! I am a die hard fan of paper in all forms - art, books, letters, stationary, cards etc. paper just feels warm and friendly and is beautiful. Don't get me wrong - I ,Ike digital too. It would be pretty tricky to craft and share Yelp reviews on hand written paper notes! Nevertheless I always stop in this store when I am in the Third Ward. They have a beautiful selection of single page wrapping papers, handmade greeting cards, invitations for all events, journals, gift books and local themed gift items. The front tables are always changing with an assortment of fun items for the home or office. Treat yourself to a new notepad for the kitchen or some cotton towels. No matter what season or day this place always makes me smile as I revel in the beauty of paper. Visit this store - don't let this art form die to digital. Now go write a letter to your mom and mail it with an old fashioned stamp. read more

I came into the store with high hopes, and purchased two cards for a wedding and an engagement party later in the month. I asked about the return policy, since I knew that one may be returned if my friend did not want the card. I was told by staff that as long as I had the receipt, it would be fine. I came back a month later, after the engagement party, to return the unused card. Staff told me that was not possible, and said that what I was told previously was wrong. I asked to speak to the manger, as the card was overpriced, $10, and staff told me she was busy. I left my name and number to be called back. It has been four months, and I was never contacted. I always try to support local business, but the insolence of this company has deterred me from ever coming back. Truly horrible service, Broadway Paper! Truly! read more

Broadway Paper is a lovely shop in a lovely location. This is a great place for gifts and treats for yourself. When I went they had City Tins for sale, which were sold out online! I love their wrapping paper, gift tags, and bows. These items could really class up your wrapping. My classy mother taught me how to wrap presents, so I know how, but I'm also my father's daughter and don't see the problem with wrapping with brown bags and duct tape in a pinch. Broadway Paper wouldn't let you get to that point. read more

So, real talk, Milwaukee: this store isn't meant for folks like me. I'm not on Pinterest, my writing all takes place in a Word Document, and I can count the number of cards I've sent in the last five years on one hand...and those were all to my grandma! But I'm gonna try to write a fair review nonetheless. I ducked in here to on a recent trip to the Third Ward so that I could collect my thoughts and escape the incessant noise of a nearby piledriver that was pounding pillars into the ground for some new construction. I can only imagine the confusion inside the clerks minds when somebody who looked more like he belonged on that job site than in their store started browsing their shelves. The selection, to my ignorant brain, seemed to offer a wider sample of papers, cards, wrappers than one could ever find a use for. My eye started to twitch after perusing the celebrations of birthdays, weddings, and anniversaries. The thought that there's a market that keeps this place afloat blew my reptile brain apart. I think I'm going to start wax stamping my envelopes closed from now on. There's just something appealing about the thought of the electric company receiving my check stamped closed with my initials like some sort of medieval lord. I might start actually writing letters if I can do that.... So, uh, thanks to Broadway Paper for planting that thought in my head? read more

Super cute store with paper galore! I'm a poet and.... OK so I shopped out my wedding invites to 5 different places and if you can believe it, the most bang for my buck was at Broadway Paper which I was not expecting. If you choose one of their more reasonably priced designs (without a whole lotta customization), you should escape unscathed from the wedding money monster. I was able to get letter press. Yes. Letter press. On really nice thick paper. They turned out amazing. The other places I went to told me that letter press was a whole nother BEAST. As in, not in my budget. Really? We were so pleased with their work and the friendly staff (Kate is great!) that we also ordered our menu cards from them as well. Two thumbs up! read more

I love local crafts, and Broadway paper is abounding with Wisconsin and Milwaukee pride. From a cheese plate with the state on it to prints of the city to coffee mugs to even a puzzle, Broadway paper loves where it lives. I also scored a check-in deal for a free set of little notebooks after spending $50! It was hard to only spend that much. I'll be back. read more

Huge selection of cards (both individual & in packs) and wrapping paper (the oooh-la-la fancy kind by-the-sheet in all kinds of unique prints!) - along with some fun items for gifting. Ok it's... A paper shop, not actually my cup of tea but honestly I went in and looked around, even laughed at a couple of the cards for sale. If you're one of those people that will stand for a hour in target to find that perfect card for Christmas or a bday gift. Save yourself about 55 minutes and go to broadway paper. Their cards are unique and their selection is sure to please. They also have wedding invitations and paper goods and books. read more

Oh yay! Broadway, you're adorable. You're the kind of place I could just wander around in for awhile. In my mind, I'm a crafter, but in actuality I'm a project starter who gets big ideas but never finishes them. There are so many cute and fantastic things here that I could buy while telling myself I would craft with them. (Honestly... I will this time! I swear!) Great stationary, unique wrapping papers, cards for every occasion, invitations, ribbon, candles, cardstock... just stop it. This place is so cute I can't really even handle it. I'm going to spend some money at you, Broadway. I just know it. I'll be back and I'm going to wander for longer and I'm going to buy stuff. read more
