So while this station may be fantastic on the times it runs, the fact that it exists and that the bus route drivers aren't aware that it doesn't run most of the time can cause trouble when it's late at night and you are now lost in Burlingame because the driver didn't know to drop you off at a working Caltrain station. I've ridden BART plenty of times before. Usually it's crowded, sometimes a little grimy, but it gets the job done. This time, though, I was honestly surprised. The SF International Airport station felt clean, organized, and surprisingly calm. Maybe was because it was Saturday? Who knows. You'd try to get a taxi in a crowded place like Las Vegas or Milan and wait in line for hours. Some taxi services had the worst cars ever, with no AC and pretty crazy aggressive drivers. We needed something better. Then... Uber came along! The drivers are unique individuals making their way through life. Their stories, if they care to share them, can be epic, shocking and/or inspiring! It's not a panacea but it certainly changed the transportation industry and helped many people with cars, get some income flowing on their own schedule. However, they have a rule that you're not allowed to contact the driver directly at all. I've never been told not to contact a driver in all the services I've ever used for airport or other pick ups so this seems very odd. They gave me the driver's phone number, but sent me many admonitions never to contact him before during or after the service. I always like to make sure with drivers myself that they understand what time to pick up, that they need to wear a mask, etc., etc. So not being able to do this left me very frustrated and not sure I'd do the service again. UPDATE MGL responded that they only asked me to not contact the driver before the trip. That's not true they sent me several texts that literally say "do not contact the driver before or after the trip" and they went onto continue messaging not to bother the driver as he may be with other clients.
