The reason this isn't a 5 star review is unfortunately because of the other stylist, Diane. Probably one of the most unpleasant and unfriendly customer service experiences I've ever had. Diane snapped when I asked if they did walk ins (like it said online) and she started patronizing me about how to work a phone and kept going on and on. She told me she didn't have time to cut my hair and proceeded to sit for quite a while on her phone and giving me dirty looks. Perhaps she was having a bad day but I was genuinely shocked at the experience.

Not only did he rescue me in a pinch, but his innate understanding of style truly shone through. The standout moment was when Abdou intuitively suggested a beard design that perfectly suited my face, a style that I'd long imagined but hadn't been able to achieve elsewhere. It's not just a haircut or beard trim; with Abdou, it's a master class in personal presentation. I don't visit Boston often, but next time I'm in town I'll be back for another trim.

He essentially shooed me out of the "shop" which, frankly, looked dirty ...just for asking if there was any availability that day. The cut was perfect, and I went into that wedding feeling great. I've been going back ever since, and I still make the trip even though I've moved outside Boston. That should tell you something. What keeps me coming back is the level of care and detail Gino puts into every visit, hair and beard both. You can tell this isn't just a job to him. That same attention to the craft carries through the whole shop. Every time I'm in, I see the same dedication from his staff. I'd recommend any of them without hesitation. If you're looking for a barber who actually takes pride in their work, 3L is the place.

Perhaps the client or cute girl you're meeting later secretly likes overgrown beards and hair? If this is the case, then 3L Barber Co. is the place you're looking for. Otherwise, if you're a man with responsibilities and don't feel like standing outside a barbershop for 25 minutes staring at a handmade "Back 10 Minutes" sign taped to the door, you may want to steer clear. I showed up 10 minutes early to my very first appointment with one of the barbers (I won't call him out by name since I don't know him and maybe he has a legit excuse?), and the place is locked, obviously open, with the aforementioned sign. Another worker shows up 15 minutes after my appointment time carrying some food, drink, and an attitude. Rather than explain anything, she just tells me to call the barber. Ok? And tell him what? I decided to leave rather than chase a grown man around and remind him of his responsibilities. Pros: -Milford street has a lot of nice houses and you can walk up and down (several times) to admire. -Masochists: you can be made to feel like *you're* the problem if your barber skips the appointment ! -The insane traffic to get there was fun to dodge in my motorcycle. Cons: -You won't get a haircut and beard trim.

The barber (George?) - smelled funny - like he had an old fish sandwich in his pocket and hadn't bathed in days. He cut off way more hair than I asked. I just wanted trim, but he kept pulling out the clippers. I think he only knows how to do shorty buzz cuts, not how to cut hair. I can't believe I paid for this. But ultimately it's the vibe of this place that is most repelling. The men who work here are VULGAR!! So much misogyny and racism we're flying around the room, I thought I was in Mississippi in the 60's. I spent many days in Boston and only heard this gross rhetoric at this crappy crappy barber.
