Lines move fairly quickly when most people act like it's not their first day on earth, and you rarely have to take out your electronics and put them in separate bins. I had the experience of taking the Sky Train to my assigned terminal recently, and it was super easy to go from the valley metro rail stop to the sky train stop (just go up the escalator that very obviously says To Sky Train). Saves me a lot of money by not needing to use rideshare anymore. The food options are pretty random - not as many chains as other airports - but I appreciate the chick fil a every now and then. For their Starbucks, I highly reccommend using the order ahead feature so that you don't have to wait in line - it's almost always long.

It is now 625 am and there is no one at the desk, not is there any shuttle can in sight. There is a sign at the desk giving a phone number to call if I need assistance between the hours of operation and telling me to call "7 days a week, 24 hours a day" but it just rings and rings. At almost 630 a girl walks up and tells me the shuttle doesn't usually get here until "about this time." I informed her that the person who I personally spoke to the day I made my 6:15 am reservation probably should have mentioned that. The website says passengers need to check in 15 minutes prior to departure. My departure was scheduled for 615 am. The desk doesn't even open until 615 am and the shuttle doesn't "usually" arrive until 630. This means I'm sitting around for 30 minutes. Not ok. Shuttle finally departed at 633 am. The driver is super friendly and got me there in 90 minutes. So, ended up ok!

On my return trip, the 3:30 PM shuttle was delayed until approximately 3:55 PM because of traffic. I understand that traffic happens, but there was no proactive communication about the delay. I had to call Groome myself to find out what was happening and then call again to get an estimated arrival time. I had been waiting at the pickup area in extreme Phoenix heat, so having an update would have been especially helpful. The seating has also been extremely uncomfortable. On my return trip, there are only three passengers sitting across a four-seat row, yet I still don't have enough usable space to sit comfortably and have been sitting partially on a seatbelt buckle. For a trip of this length and at this price, I expected a much more comfortable experience. I also approached another Groome van while waiting because I wanted to make sure I was getting on the correct shuttle. The driver asked where I was going, and when I said I had a reservation for Flagstaff, he simply responded that the van was going to Prescott "stupid". The interaction felt unnecessarily curt when I was simply trying to make sure I was in the right place. Between the high price, uncomfortable seating on both trips, the delay with no proactive update, and the customer-service experience, I'm very disappointed. For $134 round trip, I expected considerably better communication, comfort, and service. I'll be looking for other transportation options in the future

Both times, we flew Southwest and ended up at the exact same gates, so we got a pretty consistent experience. The gates were in a convenient location, especially since they were close to the restrooms. There were also plenty of food options nearby, which is always nice when you have time to kill before a flight. I noticed information booths throughout the airport where you could ask questions and get help figuring out where you needed to go, which would be especially helpful if you're unfamiliar with the airport. Pickup was a little confusing outside. Our friend who was picking us up accidentally ended up on the Uber side instead of the area where she was supposed to meet us. Thankfully, it wasn't particularly busy, so it wasn't a huge issue, but I could see it being more frustrating during a busy time. One downside was that the chairs at our gates didn't have charging ports, which would have been nice while we were waiting to board. That seems like such a small thing, but when you're traveling, having somewhere to charge your phone can make a big difference. Overall, Phoenix Sky Harbor was a clean airport with plenty of food options and helpful resources throughout. We had a pretty easy experience both times, and since we were flying Southwest, we found our way around without too much trouble.

It's also monitored parking with cameras all over the place and I've not heard of any car thefts or incidents happening here, which is also a huge plus!!! 3 days of parking for $47 isn't bad! If I could give a negative number I would. Hertz charged me 97 dollars a day. I would never had…read morerented a car for that amount. I've been doing business with hertz for at least 30 years. Rented a car because I sold two of mine and did not know how long I would need the rental till I found a car. Picked up on Wednesday at 4:30 and dropped off on Sunday at 3:37. Over 500 dollars for 4 days. Manager was unhelpful and basically didn't give a . So disappointed in this company. DO NOT USE this company. They are more expensive than others but I always came back when I needed to rent a car because they always took good care of me.
