I took several photos of the nearby "gone era" when flying wasn't as it is today; saw models of a DC-3 like the ones I flew in as a child, a P51 from WWII, and a photo section reminding us of the Tuskegee Airmen and the Black aviators of the era. It is now 625 am and there is no one at the desk, not is there any shuttle can in sight. There is a sign at the desk giving a phone number to call if I need assistance between the hours of operation and telling me to call "7 days a week, 24 hours a day" but it just rings and rings. At almost 630 a girl walks up and tells me the shuttle doesn't usually get here until "about this time." I informed her that the person who I personally spoke to the day I made my 6:15 am reservation probably should have mentioned that. The website says passengers need to check in 15 minutes prior to departure. My departure was scheduled for 615 am. The desk doesn't even open until 615 am and the shuttle doesn't "usually" arrive until 630. This means I'm sitting around for 30 minutes. Not ok. Shuttle finally departed at 633 am. The driver is super friendly and got me there in 90 minutes. So, ended up ok!

AND there was no coffee in sight so I wandered into the office and they kindly offered me a cup from their office pot. Our driver was Kelly and this guy was not only a superb driver but he had a wonderful personality and sense of humor. He shared great stories of his surfing days in California, local off road adventures as well as some local topics of interest. He treated his customers with kindness and compassion (we had some older folks who needed assistance). The van was clean and comfortable and the price was great! When we stopped at a restaurant area I called the office to see if they could charge a tip to my card as I realized I had no cash. The lady who took my call was likewise awesome and it was done immediately. What a FANTASTIC business. Well done Groome.

Most charging area are outside security. What I didnt like was that we have to exit security to access the sky trains. But i understand that is needed to allow both populations ( pre and post security) to access the sky trains. Terminal 4 has a lot of stuff after security and less choices before security- this is the same to be said of T3. Overall, decent airport. Maybe they can consider stronger aircon - and maybe air purifier in the sitting areas. When the weather is hot, there are also some strange smells lurking in the airport.

It's also monitored parking with cameras all over the place and I've not heard of any car thefts or incidents happening here, which is also a huge plus!!! 3 days of parking for $47 isn't bad! I brought back the vehicle in the same condition it was given to me -- except for minor road dirt spots (it rained) which, to be clear, was already dirty and worn when I received it. Despite that, I was later hit with a cleaning fee. Let that sink in: I was given a dirty vehicle and then charged as if I returned it that way. There was no walk-around, no discussion, no opportunity to address anything at the time of return -- just a charge after the fact. That's not customer service, that's a cash grab. This whole rental was already an issue. I reserved a Tahoe/Yukon months in advance, had corporate reach out to the pickup location two weeks prior, and still got the wrong vehicle. So to then deal with this on the return side just adds to the frustration. Between the lack of accountability, poor communication, and questionable charges, this location doesn't exactly inspire confidence. I'll be disputing the fee and taking my business elsewhere.

Mind you this was my third and final time trying to rent from them in the same day because they kept giving us the run around. Then he added gas for our trip which we asked to take off and he wouldn't take anything off. We even called hertz before we came the last time to make sure the amount we needed to pay was already known. Still he added $600 to our tab make the cheapest car $1200 to rent so instead of getting $600 from us they got $0 now.
