This is our new favorite shop! We basically did a bike shop tour of Tucson today. I was looking for a specific bike/type of bike for myself. This was the last shop on our list that we knew (google) sells Electra bikes. We were greeted when we walked in and each person we spoke to was friendly and knowledgeable. They had so many great quality bikes! The shop was clean, the bikes were displayed and organized nicely to prevent dings. It's a huge pet peeve of mine when shops beat up their bikes. I would not pay retail for a bike that's all chipped and dinged up. I was glad to see these bikes were well taken care of. Even the "shop bikes" were in great shape. We ended up finding two bikes we loved. One of them was a shop bike that they didn't really want to sell but selling bikes is their business so they still cut us a fair deal. I will definitely be back to this shop. I already have my 2 kid's next bikes picked out. While I didn't purchase any extra gear, I noticed they sell a lot of nice accessories, tools, and clothes. BMX, mountain, road, cruiser, and fat tire options. Plus, they can always order in something for you if they don't have it in stock. Go get a bike today!!

IMHO The owner of this shop is more interested in the sale than getting you on the right bike.

I went here based on the Yelp reviews and found everything to be true. The staff is extremely helpful and willing to answer all questions. I will continue to bring my bike repair/maintenance needs here. read more

Broadway Bicycles is run the way a local bike-shop should be. They aren't trying to put up a front or play to the latest trends. It's just a group of honest guys that love riding bikes of all kinds, and their service and overall attitude shows it. Before coming here, I went to a **different shop** and was flat out ignored for a solid 20 minutes (in the middle of a weekday afternoon), and when I did get some help I felt pressured. The same day I had the good luck of finding Broadway Bicycles and I can easily say they've made a new loyal customer. I picked up a sweet Trek Full-Suspension, but they do road bikes, fixies, bmx, commuters, kids bikes etc. Ask for Brian if you have technical questions or just want someone to talk bikes with! 10/10 would recommend! read more

We just moved here from Delaware. I joked with Bruce that we were his worst nightmare, two seniors buying their first bikes and knowing absolutely nothing. He was answered all our questions, showed us bikes that matched our goals and abilities, even gave us a tutorial on how to shift gears. Bruce, Scott and the staff could not have been more helpful, respectful and professional. read more

My dad purchased my son's first bike here years ago and over the years my son took his bike in for adjustments and the guys have been helpful. Recently we purchased a new bike for my now, 12 year old son. My son made several trips to the shop, test rode several bikes and asked the sales guys lots of questions. Everyone was great and answered all my son's questions. He loves his new bike. We love this place. read more

This is an small, yet amazing, shop. I purchased a new Trek ... the staff helped me find one that not only met my needs, but introduced me to a new line of carbon fiber bikes that are lighter, faster and more comfortable than what I had been riding. A specialist spent considerable time ensuring that the fit was customized to my needs. The staff did a post-purchase tune-up after about 400 miles and did the fine tuning. I could not be happier with my new bike and everyone in the store was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and seemed genuinely committed to ensuring that I got the best bike for my needs. read more

Took my Airdyne to be serviced as it was making a lot of noise and just didn't work like it was supposed to. They worked on it and now it works perfect! At a very good price! If I decided to get a bike, I'm definitely coming here. read more

Stopped in on our way through town for some info on local trails and places to ride. The staff was incredibly friendly and informative- these guys obviously love to pedal and were glad to take the time to share lots of info about where to ride (and eat) in the area. Awesome info like this is why we should support our local shops and not buy online!!! If I lived in the area I wouldn't think twice about making this my go to shop. Thanks guys! read more

I bought a wheel for a hybrid payed right at $90.00 for it within 2 weeks a spoke popped , i called them up and they told me it would cost me about $35.00 to replace it. What !! I just bought it, the original wheel lasted over 4600 miles ( a specialized crosstrail) i said the product was defective then he commenced to tell me how i ride, that i ride over curbs and through potholes ... If i did that then why would my last wheel last over 4,600 miles.. again i told him the shop should fix it , He told me i was acting like a child at that point i ended the conservation He was very disrespectful. A few weeks later i took the wheel down and talked to Scott he was civil but refused to do anything about it. still wanted more money from me, this shop is more interested in making money than they are about customer service. I have bought a lot of stuff from them throughout the years and they will loose much more than the cost of a spoke replacement because they have lost my business forever, i will not ever go there again....... read more

History

Established in 1975.

In 1975 Wayne & Edith Luscher headed out west from New Jersey. Broadway Bicycles was born. Wayne and Edith ran the store until 1983 when they left the day to day operations. From 1983 to 1996 Robert Strom managed the store. In 1996 Scott Johnson took over managing duties. We are a full service family bike shop. We have raced or ridden in virtually every cycling discipline (BMX, Mountain: Downhill, XC, Dual Slalom, Hill climb, Trials, Road: Road Race, TT, Criteriums, Track, Touring). And our favorite activity on the bike, having fun! The breadth of knowledge you will experience from our staff is what sets us apart. We have over 100 years combined shop experience. We also feature two certified and experienced fitters on staff.

Meet the Manager: Scott J.

I have always had a passion for bicycles. It is in my DNA. I feel best when out on a ride with my wife or friends. My passion led me to BMX racing. In 1985 at Sportspark BMX my competitve career began. Within one year I moved up to the Expert level. I raced BMX full time until 1990, when I was introduced to mountain biking. This relatively new sport presented a new challenge. I moved up the ranks quickly again, moving to the Expert level in less than two years. I participated in cross country, downhill, dual slalom, trials and hill climb (remember those?). During this time I was introduced to road riding. I got into road mostly to train for the mountain bike. Before I knew it I was hooked and found myself participating in road races, time trials and circuit races. I started working at Broadway Bicycles in 1986. A BMX racer at the time I came in after school and performed clean up duties. Through racing and college I stuck around and in 1996 was offered the Manager's position.
