If I could give Ryan 10 stars, I would. We were looking to buy a historic, 142 year old farm house from a friend in MD, and because of the age of the home, we really wanted to find someone who knew historic homes, had experience with septic and wells, and would do a thorough job of looking at everything to give us an accurate idea of what we'd be getting ourselves into. Well, Ryan did all of that and then some. The inspection report was more detailed than I ever thought it could be. He used thermal imaging on the entire house to find everywhere where there was water intrusion. He used his drone to take detailed pictures of the roof. He set up radon detectors in the basement that recorded levels for 48 hours. He tested the septic system. He sent water and air (mold) samples to a lab for testing. And this is just the tip of the iceberg of what he covered. He then thoroughly explained the issues and also how he would fix them and how much to expect the repairs to cost. On top of that, he then was available for questions via text, email, and phone. He even did a zoom call with us to really explain everything and answer any further questions we had. Even a week later, he is still checking in to see how things are going and available to answer any questions. He even provided us with a list of contractors we could use to fix the issues, and provided his expert opinion on whether to move forward with the purchase, given what he found. I will never recommend another home inspector. Ryan was well worth every single penny we spent. read more
