I had a great experience using their home inspection service. My inspector was prompt and even arrived 15 minutes early. We were able to get started right away. It's always good to see when someone values your time. Since I had to take the day off of work it was very convenient that they scheduled me for a early morning appointment. The inspector got to work right away and kept me up-to-date on everything that he was doing. My inspector did a very thorough job of inspecting the property that I was going to buy. He uncovered a few dangerous safety issues that the seller tried to cover up. I was very confident in his opinion and he led me to make a wise decision of not purchasing the property that he inspected for me. He save me from getting stuck with a place that was going to require a lot of work to be livable. I was very happy with their service and in the future when I am about to purchase a property I will definitely use them again. They were a little bit more expensive than some of the other places that I considered but seeing how thorough they are and the positive reviews that they have I am confident that they are the best option. read more

The inspector took his time to answer all our questions and to explain things we did not understood. He was very thorough looking at details that may not be apparent. Highly recommend!!! read more

I am so glad I chose this company!!! I had a closing date that was coming up fast and I needed the home inspection within three days... No other company was able to accommodate me because it was such short notice, but with buying a house there is so much stress because everything is short notice. Let's talk about Corrin's customer service, she was so friendly, pleasant, and accommodating. She properly quoted the services and even scheduled my pest inspection with their other vendor. They were able to fit both my home inspection and my pest inspection in on a Saturday and I even got the results on the same day. Now, I want to give Jonathan Scabis the biggest kudos. He was professional, he was patient, friendly, humorous, confident. He literally told us everything about the house, good or bad, and walked us through what to do if we were to ever have a problem. Since this is our first home purchase the fact that he made things so easy to understand made me comfortable. He also let us know that 4u is literally "4 U", he told us that they partner companies who can help with any handyman work we may need. He also informed us about a service that helps moving and transitioning services a breeze. Johnathan KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. I'm so lucky to have had a great experience with 4u and Porch. read more

Used them twice when under contract to purchase a house (Paul Block and Roger Richardson). Both times they caught major structural repairs (damaged roof trusses and garage lintel) that saved me thousands. No other inspectors (sellers' or other buyers) were able to identify these issues. 4U is very thorough and they explain all the systems in the house for you and the condition. Very reassuring for a first time home buyer. read more

I would never use this company Turn down the thermostat in a vacant house and left the air conditioning at 66 degrees. Broke the attic access panel and wont repair it. read more

Our Inspector, Mark, provided AWESOME Customer Service. He was early to get a start on the Inspection on the outside of the premises. He walked me through all his findings and the complications that might arise from not addressing the issues. He gave his professional opinion when he thought items should be addressed by a licensed professional or something we could do on our own. He performed his inspection very thoroughly and section by section explained in great details. Our final report had pictures and there were no surprises in the report and we had the report back same day! We will definitely hire this company again for further inspections beyond this basic one! read more

I highly recommend 4U Inspection Services. As a first time home buyer, the process of going through the home inspection was nerve wracking. David was a literal angel through the entire process, taking the time to ensure we understood everything going on and answering our (many) questions as best as he can. He was thorough with his inspection and explained to us what he was seeing every step of the way. We did not feel rushed when asking him questions, and his calm demeanor was really appreciated as we were super nervous! He made this entire process so much easier and we walked away feeling more confident about the process and our knowledge about it. He got the report to us within a few hours as well. If you're looking for a home inspector, stop the search now and just call 4U Inspections! read more

As a first time homebuyer I have never been through a home inspection nor did I know what to expect. I had the pleasure of having David Hafer as my inspector and I was very pleased with his service. He arrived about an half an hour before the appointment. Once I arrived he had already did a walk through and was ready to get started. David was very pleasant, professional and explained everything to me as he went along through the process. Working with David made me really comfortable and confident within this process. 4U Inspection also works with a company called Porch which assists you with your move and offers many different services. I would definitely recommend this service to anyone! read more

David Hafer of 4U Inspection did a wonderful job a few weeks ago. As he conducted the inspection, he went through and explained to me what he was looking at, reviewed what worked well or gave recommended updates, and answered a multitude of questions. I really appreciated his diligence and willingness to walk me through simultaneously. His report was very thorough and detailed as well. Also, the process of getting an appointment was seamless. The team made sure to send me various prep materials upfront, and they also called to remind me of the appointment a couple of times. I definitely recommend David and the 4U Inspection team! read more

Thank you so much for doing such an excellent job with our home inspection! Buying a home from overseas is not ideal for our family, but that's what we had to do to make sure we had somewhere to live when we returned to the U.S. The staff at 4U Inspection Services is amazing and very professional. From the time I called to get a quote, to the confirmation emails, and then to the actual inspection report, I have experienced nothing short of excellence. Our inspection report was very detailed and put our family at ease! I don't do many reviews, but I had to acknowledge great service; it seems very rare these days. Thank you again! read more

Loved that they showed up in mask (best part of our inspection) I worked with one of my clients and she walked away terrified to even buy the home. The home was not in bad condition and I had to hire a second contractor to go out and explain things. Apparently, she thought the home was unsafe and was going to burn down due to electrical issues. he also pointed out all the items that were not to code BUT were okay. He failed to tell her even though it wasn't currently to code it wasn't going to hurt her. For example, polybutylene piping. LOL. Many issues explained but ......SMH read more

Excellent experience with the 4U inspector. Very thorough, explained everything found in a manner that was easy to understand and even pointed out all the positives in the home. It was time-consuming; however, the inspector truly had his customer's best-interest at heart. His write-ups were excellent and will be a great guide to some of the minor projects that I should focus on with my new home. Definitely a 5-star experience!! read more

This company left my children's room an absolute disaster. Insulation (heaps and heaps) left in my closet, on my children's toys, ruined my suitcase, broke two photos. There was no attempt of cleaning up after themselves. Would not recommend this group to anyone looking for a respectful inspection. read more

Dave Kemp was our inspector and oh my gosh we couldn't have asked for a better individual to inspect our new home. The inspection was quick to schedule, the actual inspection was detailed, and the report came later that night. Our main inspector, Rob and his shadower was very friendly, timely, and detailed. Rob answered any questions I had for him. They took their time in the important areas of the house and inspected areas I didn't think too look. It's my first home inspection, but I think Rob and co did a very detailed inspection of the house. read more

Roger Richardson was the certified master inspector who recently inspected the Baltimore home we are considering buying. He was professional, extremely thorough, and answered any questions we had while summarizing his findings in each area of the home. I needed a home inspection done prior to purchasing my home. My realtor recommended 4U. I couldn't have been more pleased with the service I received. Jonathan Scabis, the actual inspector, was great. He went above the minimum checks when it comes to checking windows, outlets etc and literally checked every inch of the house. He explained everything to me and as a first time home buyer that made me feel reassured that I made a great decision with 4U. Lastly, but certainly not least, Jonathan was early for the inspection! As a member of the armed service it brings me great pleasure to find out that Jonathan is a veteran and that 4U is a company who hires veterans. Choose 4U! read more

After completing some research of home inspectors on BBB (Better Business Bureau) & Yelp I selected 4U Inspection Services to complete an inspection on the home we were planning to purchase. The inspector, David Kemp, was EXCEPTIONAL. He was prompt, knowledgeable and meticulous. He spent time explaining his findings, and answering all of our questions. I cannot tell how comforting it is to know that we hired a true professional that provided us with the information we needed to make a good business decision. It is so refreshing to meet a knowledgeable professional who clearly loves what he does. I will recommend 4U Inspection Services to everyone I know. David Kemp read more

I used 4u inspection to inspected a 2017 single family house. I had an inspection done virtually due to COVID which understandable but I was really disappointed with the service. The inspection was scheduled at 9:00, I was surprised inspection was done at 10:30 so basically an hour and half for a single-family inspection. I was moving some items to our house and in my first couple hours I see the inspector missed an obvious problem with the refrigerator, every time you open and close the fridge it makes a loud knocking noise, the noise is so obvious that I think he did not even open the fridge, 4 window shades had a damage cord, a window was not opening properly. I spoke to them on the phone before I post any reviews and the inspector manager was polite but claimed that the inspector is not suppose to check shades or windows and that they only need to check the refrigerator water connection and if it cold and it is not their responsibility to check if there is noise coming from the fridge . The roof was inspected the old way with binocular which has limited vision. Advanced inspections companies use drone to do this. I thought I would give an honest review for others to know what you might get from their service. I think I would have saved my self the inspection money and couple thousand dollars if I have done the inspection myself as all the issue found by the inspector were really minor but missing a major issue. read more

I initially called Alan and asked for an experienced inspector and got David Kemp. 2 years experience. I was very concerned, but reassured David was excellent. Trained....Blah, Blah, Blah... I needed an inspector quickly and they were available. More expensive than others, but available. David is a nice person, but in my humble opinion does not have an eye for detail. Below are SOME of the things the inspector missed. On the positive.. He arrived early, was polite, timely and seemed genuinely concerned about doing a good job. All these items were viewable with the naked eye and did NOT need to uncover, move or open anything special. Also the "report" was VERY generic in explaining any problems uncovered like they were overly concerned about liability issues and didn't totally understand the problems. ITEMS missed. 1. Live electrical wires exposed hanging in basement. (BARE wires) 2. Open water drain pipes (sewer gas potentially entering home) 3.Open / CUT HVAC ducts dumping into basement. Ducts were cut during previous home "improvement" . One supply & one return. 4. DEAD hvac vents on second floor. (from the cut hvac ducts previously described) 5. Water heater (gas) exhaust vent too small which overheats and not venting properly 6.Roof had 3 layers not 2. Nail pops. He never went onto roof, even on the safe sloped areas. 7. Roof gutters holding water. (improperly slanted) 9. Chimney cap bad 8. Roof / attic not vented properly 10. Freezer door broken 11. screen door lock missing 12.Door bell not working 13. 2 water pipes leaking. (repaired under seller home warranty) I lost thousands of dollars having to fix these items after the sale that could of been negotiated prior to. After finding and fixing these items I tried to talk with Alan to express my concerns. Said he would call me back, never did. Therefore............Here are my comments and my personal opinion. DO NOT USE THEM. Find an inspector and company with at least 5 years experience who has also been in the building trade..... read more

I didn't have a good customer service experience with this business. First, they are considerably higher than most other companies in the area and I am not sure why. A kitchen appliance in the house was in "working" order during the inspection, but as soon as I took ownership of the property I discovered it was broken. What kind of home inspector misses such an obvious issue? The second issue is that I went with this highly overpriced place because I read glowing reviews on multiple websites about one particular inspector. I went online to make the appointment and had the option to choose which inspector I wanted and when done I received an email confirming what time and date my CHOSEN inspector would do the inspection. The day of the inspection, a different inspector showed up and we were never told this beforehand. Had I known this is how this business operates I would have gone with a different and much cheaper company. The guy they sent was nice, but now that I know that he didn't really do a good job I regret going with this place even more. In the defense of this place I will mention that when they followed up about the inspection and I informed them of my issues they did offer to refund my money. I didn't take them up on the offer because they did provide a service to me. I just want to warn any others out there. If you want a certain inspector at this place you may not get them and if you are expecting a thorough home inspection you may not get that either. read more
