I asked him what wines he liked, and he said, "I always like a good New Zealand Sau Bla." Fortunately I knew that was bartender for Sauvignon Blanc, so the next day I headed to the Kahn's web site, shopped a little, and picked out one from the Marlborough region, feeling pretty confident about my choice thanks to the description on the Kahn's web site. I ordered it online, went in to pick it up, and even was able to get a nice gift bag on site. Thank you, Kahn's! When I gave it to him, he literally gushed. It turns out he had bought that himself several years ago, and liked it so well that his restaurant served it for about a year. I had definitely struck gold! Thank you, Kahn's, for making the whole experience very easy for me, and a positive one for him!

Blue dots are what I tasted (yes, small sips!), and the Liberty School cab came home. Others that topped my list were the Chateau Buera Reserve Rouge (a Bordeaux style from the country of Georiga), the Prisioner red blend, and the Brendel Coopers Reed cab. :) presented from the best and the staff is always wonderful. Also, excellent sale proces on the event wines! #ReviewsByRL

I was looking for a specific tequilla... and they had it! Not only that they had several tequilas open for tasting so I was able to find a new tequila that is good tasting and very smooth. The sales associates on the floor are very knowledgeable; they don't just work there, they actually know what they are talking about which is very helpful. I was totally taken aback by the level of customer service I was provided. Upon entering the store, i headed to what I thought was the correct area. 2 different employees walked past and spoke to me as they walked by. I thought that was pretty nice. Then a third one went past and asked if they could help me. I told her what I was looking for and she walked me to it. I am happy she did. She showed me where the help wanted button was that I didn't see and that also wasn't labeled. But since she walked me back and identified it for me it was ok. Then an employee came back and helped me. She was very nice and pleasant and said she would have my order up front at the registers. Even the cashier was both nice and friendly. Each employee I encountered gave me a high level of customer service. I also liked the fact that the store was very neat and clean and very organized. I can tell by this location that customer service is very important to this company.

Before walking off with a bottle, the kind man behind the counter offered a little taste, because he had just opened a bottle. They will give you little sips of some of the things they have open, if you're curious about something new that you've never tried before. SoBro Spirits has got a lotta bourbon and whiskey, and in fact, I would say this is one of the better places to find bourbon in Indy. The wine section is fine but not the largest, although what they do have seems well curated and thoughtful. All around the store, you will see shopping baskets full of random bottles of discounted wine, beer and other alcohol. It was kind of fun to paw through the baskets and try to find a cheap treasure. Along with the Canadian whiskey, I walked away with a nice Rioja and a rose for a steep discount. This liquor store is located close to the Monon Trail, so it's easy to get to via bike or walking.

I've never been more wrong. I went in when the owner was there and he immediately picked me out a wine based off what I likes. None of the wine on the floor is more than $20 a bottle. The average price is $8 -13/bottle which what I normally pay. He tests out all the wine himself (dream job) to ensure quality. The store also has a bunch of grocery store items that you would typically pair with wine, making it a one stop shop. I've gone in a couple times now and the staff is consistently helpful and knowledgable. This place is an under appreciated. I highly recommend the next time you are in the market for great wine from a locally owned shop.

The store is well-organized and offers many different varieties from budget to high-end selections. They also offer a nice assortment of gourmet foods like crackers/cheese/sausage/cookies to accompany your wine choice. Most recently I emailed to see if they could make me a gift basket. Ron responded immediately and said they already had a basket made in my price range with two bottles of their best-selling red and white wine. When I picked it up, I was very pleased with the selection of items included for the price. It's a great deal!

They have national, international and local brand options at Party Pak. Are you from out of town and like a beer from a local brewery from your home state? They might have it, so it's worth asking. You can even mix and match your own 6 pack, which is probably where their name comes from since it's like a variety/party 6 pack. I didn't talk to the employee much but they seemed willing to help us. They greeted us when we came in but that was all. I don't mind quiet employees, although it is always nice to have an employee recommendation. Hopefully I can get back to Indianapolis soon so I can stop by here again to try out some of their local selection.
