Hands down, one of the best places to get wine in Broad Ripple. A friend of a friend told me about this place and prior to going for the first time, I had always just driven past it, thought absolutely nothing of it. While I have only been there once, I can speak on the wine. If you get on their email list, you will get emails about wine sales, wine liquidations, tasting and so much more. I received an email at the end of October and after looking at the list of wines on sale, I couldn't pass it up. I ordered about 11 bottles of wine, high quality mix of reds and whites at unbeatable prices. I placed the order online, and not long I received a phone call saying the order was ready for pick up. Chris one of the managers was so kind, took my credit card number and I showed up a few hours late. The wine was boxed up and the gentleman carried the wine to my car. Top notch service! If you're a wine lover, I highly reccomend you get on their email list! I am excited to go to one of their tastings as soon as my schedule allows! Pictured is all the wine I ordered!

SoBro Spirits is a great liquor store in Broad Ripple that has a wide variety of craft beer, Spirits, and wine. Chris Wilderman, the general manager, has a wide knowledge of wine as a certified wine specialist (CSW), and offers great deals and specials on cases of wine if you sign up for the email distribution list. His staff is very knowledgeable on wine, beer, and spirits, and can make good recommendations to you if you are looking for a specific type of wine, beer, or Spirits. Before the pandemic hit, SoBro Spirits hosted wonderful wine tastings where you could taste a huge variety of wines and get incredible prices on cases of wine or bottles of wine. I am hoping they bring this back once things settle down, because the wine tastings were wonderful!!

My husband does the beer-hauling in our family, and he does the majority of his shopping at SoBro Spirits. He always brings home something good, whether that be a six-pack from a local Indy brewery or--my new favorite--a variety pack from Cigar City Brewing out of Tampa, FL. If you're looking for an old favorite or want to try something new, SoBro Spirits is a solid option.

Family owned and every customet is treated like they are family. Not many mom and pops out there where customer service is the main selling point! Chris is in charge of wine and knows his stuff. He is an actual sommelier and goes above and beyond to remember you and what you like. Not sure how as there are customers calling his name the entire time you are there! Lou knows his bourbon and does not try and take advantage of customers by over charging. Bourbon lotteries are fair and fun! Sobro is the go to!

Large selection of wine and spirits. Chris hosts wine tastings in the back room on Saturdays. I learned about reds and discovered a very good Port The smaller wine tastings like this make it possible to learn more about the wines such as where they originate from etc.

Formerly known as A1 Liquors, SoBro Spirits is the best little liquor store in the neighborhood and has a great selection of wines, imported, domestic, local /national craft beers at the best prices. The friendly staff knows their regulars and is very helpful. There are tastings held in store every so often if you'd like to try something new and an ATM to withdraw the $ you'll need to make your purchase. Love the new sign & name!

Best Products, Best Prices and Best People! I've been shopping here for years and I truly believe this is the best liquor store in Indianapolis.

They get some terrific and hard to find beer in here

This family owned and operated liquor store is one of the best values in the city. The father and son team truly care about your business and will bend over backwards to accommodate your needs. The selection of both beer and spirits is hard to surpass, both of which are sold at extremely competitive prices. If you are on the fence about a product or unsure about a choice, simply find an employee. They will get you dialed in quickly with suggestions and/or information.

From a craft distiller in Michigan! Hard to get down here.

I'm so grateful for this local liquor store with a big selection (including plenty of craft beers in the cooler!).

Yes! Mister C, you make my summer endless. Which is why "C" will stand for Celebration or Chill of Colorful like the eclectic mix of patrons casually strolling in and out. You're a cool place Mr C. I got a fifth of vodka called Amsterdam, a handle of gin, a bottle of X-Rated, a few pink Kinky Shots, and some whiskey that I didn't know the name of. This price was amazing!! If you know me, you know I've been in search of the lowest priced liquor store my liver can stand. That search seems to have led me to unequivocal certainty that Mister C is for me. What is a party without libations and banter?! A 9am conference call. That's what it is! I choose to believe fate brought me to this place one Saturday evening. Bootleg movies being sold in the parking lot, shady neighborhood feel, and sassy cashiers that gladly accept tips. Mister C is serving up realness for a comparable price. It's a needed break away from the liquor stores in my area. Not that rolling out the grand red carpet to pick out a wine in a specially temperature controlled room doesn't make me fancy dance - sometimes, I just want some drank. Go here if you want the old stand bys, with some east keystone street flair!

But I will WARN you to not go if there is a cop(s) in the parking lot after 9pm. They will follow you for a good distance. I was having dinner nearby and saw Big Red located in the adjacent strip center. I believe it used to be located at a nearby corner, but relocated. I could be wrong. I only recently started exploring the beer world again and have to admit until recently it had been years since I'd been in a liquor store. I'd been to the Big Red near Geist. They had a wide selection, but it wasn't the most wheelchair friendly. This Broad Ripple location is just the opposite - it seems like a smaller space, a somewhat more modest selection, but a MUCH better layout and I had very little difficulty wheeling around it with the exception of a couple corner spots. Plus, an employee who was shelving products repeatedly offered to move if I needed to get where he was at. I've been mostly devoting myself to the local brewing scene. So, I immediately gravitated to that section. I should note - this strip center does have accessible parking and curb cuts. They aren't perfect, but they're functional. The doorway is a glass door and as is typical of a liquor store you tend to have products right around the doorway (so, I don't advise swinging the door enthusiastically and shouting out "Mister Fabulous is here." Not that I've ever done that. I was greeted quickly and wheeled my way over to the beer section. Big Red has a nice balance of national, local, regional, and craft brews. Prices are fairly competitive - it did seem like I saw more beer selections here where I said "I can find that cheaper elsewhere." Employees were friendly. I appreciated that when they were offering suggestions that they referred to each other by name. It's a subtle way of having people get to know you. Masks were required. Social distancing was expected. The checkout counter was a tad high but workable. There's a safety factor here that's important and they seem to manage it well. Big Red is offering delivery, curb-side pick-up, and they have an app. They serve up beer, wine spirits, kegs, cigarettes, and some snacks. You can also get quite a few of the mixes and juices often used with mixed drinks, as well. In this one strip center, I can have dinner, get a haircut, hit Magic Bus, and stop by Big Red when needed. I love the convenience and this will definitely be a "go to" Big Red spot for me because it's pretty wheelchair friendly and the staff is helpful. I'll definitely be back.
