Big room big stage and good people, staff has always been friendly and exceeded all my expectations as a patron. It's Saturday night in Fishers, IN. Britton Tavern is a lively place. It's crowded, noisy, people are dancing. The band is doing the usual classic rock covers, but nobody seems to mind. Is that sort of music all that is tolerated in the burbs any more? Whither reggae ala Dog Talk? No zydeko to be found? Punk anyone? Lots of people appeared to be drinking quite a lot and the table seating is lined up, beer hall syle. There's pool tables and lots of TV screens as this place doubles as a sports bar. People were having a good time, and that's contagious. I had a Matilda from the bottle. They may have been out of some of of the listed craft beers with others subbed in, but it was too loud to hear the bartender so I just moved on. One bartender said I had to order food from a waitress, so they aren't set up that at the bar very well for snack service. The bartenders were really working hard. It was a tad smokey but well ventilated. Are any short-term investors wanted? It seems to be delivering what's wanted in Fishers this season. Bottom line, 5/10. read more

Of course, it was smoky as I walked inside. The waitress was really helpful. I ordered the stuffed breadsticks with mozzarella cheese and nacho cheese dip. Delicious! 4 large sticks and quite filling to my tummy! Also, I ordered the Cajun chicken pasta -- great Cajun chicken, but I did not care for the very buttery toast; the pasta was spiral -- weird to me. Plus, I got the 10 oz. sirloin with Cajun chips (tasted like potato wedges without the Cajun kick) and sweet potato fries (unfortunately overcooked). Great area in Carmel to stop by. They have great STRONG drinks with a great price.... ummm can you say no to that especially in Carmel??!! Local bar in an area chock full of franchised restaurants, fast food and otherwise. Big open space with a large bar in the center. There are TVs all over. Perfect place to post up to watch the game, especially if you've got multiple teams to watch at one time. Service was great. They have good drinks deals every day. They do events at night and have live music sometimes. Food is your typical American bar food. We were served really quickly. They have a couple of pool tables and outdoor seating too. Really like the atmosphere here! Sad that Carmel seems so far away or I'd be here all the time. Went one night for trivia and ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. Here's the thing...I've had a lot of buffalo chicken sandwiches in my day. This one is at the top of the list. It was amazing! First off let me say I went here tonight on my quest to find Metro Indy's best nachos (I have a thing for nachos). They are mainly beer centric. They do have good vodkas available, however, so clearly we know what I chose (beer is gross, so even in a beer-centric place I can't do it). Grey Goose has made my evening complete. Friendly bartenders treated this single female well. Now food? I got their nachos. Not their tator tot nachos as I am a traditionalist. and I hate the name "totchos" or "tachos" or any of those other mashup names They were okay. The chips stayed crispy (rare). They weren't tri color, however, which would be better. The chicken was nice. The cheese could have a bit more depth. Better than some places around, but I would hate to think this was Indy's best nachos offering. On the other hand... The southwestern egg rolls? Absolutely phenomenal. read more

My friends and I paid for a 30 minute Uber to get here. My friend forgot his mask so the bouncer would not let him in (perfectly understandable. Rules are rules). But as they were discussing this, the bouncer full on punched the guest attempting to enter. We called the police as this is not within their rights. As we are waiting outside, they continued to let others inside without a mask. I will NEVER come back to this establishment. Punching someone for not having a mask is UNACCEPTABLE. Here's what's special about Britton Tavern: it's not a chain. If you're looking for something different from the average sports bar, go to Britton. Me and my finance went there using a Groupon on a Friday evening. We sat on the porch and had a nice time. The pretzel bites are amazing and the prices are reasonable - although there's a lot of Velvetta cheese on the menu. The hamburger was better than than the average burger. There's a nice live music stage and the atmosphere seems like it could be rockin' at night. If you're looking for a fun sports bar that's different from the chain across the street, Britton is your place. read more

Definitely an awesome sports bar you cannot look anywhere without seeing a couple tvs. They have a stage for live bands. If you like to party they have a bunch of shots and bombs to get you in the right mood. The food is pretty good nothing outstanding but if you have a couple drinks before and a game is on who cares. read more

Don't like leaving negative reviews, but it's warranted in this case. Arrived early evening, decent crowd, not packed by any means. We sat at the bar, 5 bartenders congregated at opposite end, just chatting among themselves. Finally after 5 minutes one came over and asked us what we wanted. It's a sports bar, and a little later wanted a certain game on, nobody was paying attention to the TVs directly by us. Took another 5 minutes just to be recognized as needing a channel changed. The bar itself was filthy, needing at least a good wipe down. Mind you, all the bartenders went right back to chatting among themselves. We wanted a shot, so managed to get noticed again. Got out shot, and my wife immediately asked, is that the right color? Much paler than usual, and as expected, the liquor had been severely watered down. We were there approximately 60 minutes, and never once asked if we needed a refill. It's very disappointing because this is a cool bar, with so much upside. Decided to write this review because it's the 3rd time in our last 4 visits that the service was similar to this. I hope something changes, because we had always liked this place. read more

Last night me and a group of friends were at Britton. All of us in my opinion are good and respectable people. Our waitress was extremely rude throughout the night. At one point she walked through our group and about knocked over on of our Friends. I simply said to her "be nice." She have me and evil look and went to her general manager. I found out later she told the manager I grabbed her butt. She only told him that to get me thrown out. The bouncers were extremely rude and would not hear our side with witnesses. Instead they threw out my friends and gave him a cheap shot to the head. Another friend of mine got a busted lip. A bunch of Thugs. They were not there to protect anybody. Terrible establishment. It's not what I remember. We will not go again. Ownership needs to make changes. read more

I showed up attempting to be customer to support local business but they denied me service due to my physical I'd being expired and not having a new one. I had a paper ID and the credit cards to match but that wasn't enough. I would suggest going to another local bar that is not running away local business while ignoring COVID protocols. read more

The Britton Tavern is a run-of-the-mill sports bar I would typically give 3 to 3.5 stars. However, some friends and I watched the Colts game there on Sunday and our server didn't cover her face once. AMAZING!!!!! Service, Food, and Specials. This place has changed a lot in the last year or so. The food is WAY better than bar food, the staff is efficient and friendly, and it doesn't smell like an ash tray anymore. I've been to Britton Tavern several times before and it's never been the greatest place but when a band my friends and I like play there we'll usually go listen. The band we were planning to see was supposed to play elsewhere but the show was moved here...so off we went. We had the same experience as another reviewer...the website (up until two days ago, apparently) said that cover charge would start at 8:30 so we decided to go early, avoid the cover, and spend money on dinner instead. When we arrived the bouncer told us there was a cover already. My friend told him that the website said otherwise but both bouncers were rude about it and spoke to us like we were idiots who can't read. One of them insisted that the site had been changed at least a month ago. We were kind of annoyed but whatever, we paid and went in. Upon sitting at the table I looked at my cell phone and saw that it hadn't even hit 8:00 yet. That moved me from annoyed to kind of pissed. I shouldn't have to double check these things; I would expect to be able to trust the door guys. Then I checked Yelp via my phone and saw the previous review about the same thing being done to other people. I then asked for a manager and when I started to explain the situation his first response was something like, "Well it's our bar and we can charge what we want." Completely inappropriate response before even letting me tell him what happened fully. He never owned up to the fact that his bouncers would be rude and the last thing he said was something about not being at the door so he didn't really know what happened. At one point I mentioned the other review stating the same problem and he went off on some tangent about how there was a fight in there once and some people were angry about it...totally unrelated. He gave us a gift card to make up for it, but I was left with a really bad taste in my mouth over the whole thing. Past that the drinks are good, the food is okay, and the dance floor is fairly adequate. There's nowhere near enough parking and if you don't get there super early don't expect to get a table, which can make it hard if you want to order food. The kitchen is open until 2am, I believe, which is nice, but again...you may end up having to hold whatever you order and eat while standing up. Since it's always crowded they must be doing something right, I suppose, but I'm not really too keen on returning. read more

Friday and Saturday nights it's really crowded, which is not a bad thing. They have live music on most Saturday nights. I used to live in fishers and my wife and I hit Britton Tavern all the time. It's a great place with a young professional type crowd. Lots of good specials and pretty good food. We always enjoyed catching the Purdue vs IU basketball games there. Lots of fans rooting for each side. read more

HORRIBLE!!!! racist is an understatement! Idk if the bartenders are just jealous or just mentally unstable. My cousin and I waited for 30 mins at the bar to be served. We asked a bartender multiple times for some drinks and kept being ignored. Finally when we get her attention she says there's a fight going on and we have to wait. the fight is over and she begins to serve everyone but us. Ask if she can serve us now since he's helping everyone else and she ignores us. An old women who is another bartender comes up and tells us we're not being served. we ask why and she says we been cut off, we ask why we been cut off but we get no answer. We get upset and she calls security and security tries to grab both of us to drag us out but we're both SMALL WOMEN. Still don't know why we didn't receive a drink in the first place. Just horrible!
