We have been using Britt Heating and Air Conditioning for about ten years. They are the most reliable, least expensive heating and AC company we have found in the 46 years we have been dependent on AC in Central, Texas. They are a father and son show with Mrs. Britt answering the phone. Because when they start to work on a broken AC in midsummer, they commonly don't know how long it will take, don't expect them to be on your doorstep at the exact hour they set. Often they have been two hours late, but whoever is doing the work stays until it is done, and in our experience, then sets off at 7 PM or later to another broken AC unit.
As Crista B wrote, they are direct, to the point, and often very informal. Their phone etiquette is terrible, usually because they are in the midst of digging into a piece of equipment in 100 degree plus temperatures when they are talking to you! They are also commonly in a hurry as they usually have a backup of broken down AC units to get to. As far as "smelling like weed" in the decade we have been using them I have never witnessed either father or son smelling like anything except honest sweat. The fact that Chad showed up at 8 PM rather than just leaving the people without AC or heat should be commendable rather than be insulting. Just my opinion. read more
