The lot is shared with many businesses (cinnamons, Manoa, etc) so if you see those businesses you are in the right place. Enter the building on the side that is facing the parking lot and go to the doors on the left side and up to floor 5. Waiting room is fine but quite small and I wish they had a 'sick' waiting room vs healthy/routine check up area or something. It's hard to keep kids from wanting to explore the room but I'm anxious about sick germs in such a small waiting space. They texted me that I could come 30 mins early if available, so I did and got in right away. I walked out and finished before my actual appointment time even started so that was great! My provider was wonderful, not rushed, and great rapport with kiddo. This was an appt to establish care and do a routine toddler check up. It was very clear our provider read our prior charts from where we transferred and was very in tune with even the smallest details about my kiddos prior care. I wished I could have at least met our primary care Dr, if even briefly during our initial visit to make sure it's a good fit. But the NP we met with was great and we feel good about continuing care. The building is outdated and parking was a bummer but the care seems like good quality and we're excited about continuing care here.

We still interviewed with many of the other Pediatricians in Kailua but once we met Dr. Yim, we knew immediately he was the one. Not just because he could visit us at KMCWC but because we felt a sincere connection from him. We've been seeing Dr. Yim and his staff since our first child was born in 2018, now with our second kiddo we still love him and his staff! They are all so friendly, professional and I know that if I'm being a worry wart mom about something after hours I can text him for a response. What I also love is that he doesn't pressure you to parent in a way that may not be your style. He provides you the tools and resources that helps in your child's growth, as his number 1 priority. My only small but more of a "first world" problem, okay "hawaii living" problem haha is that parking can sometimes be really tight. Otherwise, we love Dr. Yim and will continue using him for our children!

Because of this he is in high demand with multiple passes at diff hospitals and lots of knowledge!! Office doesn't have the easiest parking but the office itself is so nice and clean. There is lots of toys in the waiting room to keep the kids occupied especially when he is running behind. The office visits are usually very efficient and the flow and communication between the assistant and the doctor is effortless. After your child's visit, you will have a sit down consult in his office and he is not shy to pass out his personal number. He is available by text anytime of the day and when your child has a problem he checks on your family constantly! You can tell he truly cares!!! I would def recommend this practice to anyone looking for a knowledgeable compassionate provider!

I would highly suggest you go elsewhere if you want your child to be treated by a team who cares about their well being. Our insurance recently changed, but we continued to go to this office and pay 100% out of pocket. However our last two visits were so expensive we began the process of finding a new doctor. We are not meeting with this new doctor until the summer when they are available, but we asked Pediatric Care to send over medical records in the meantime. During our last appointment to have my youngest's stitches removed, we asked Dr. Gloria to look at some warts on my older daughter's hand. She said that she could prescribe a specific medicine in the future if needed, but that we can just leave it for now and it will go away. Well, they did not go away, and have now spread to my youngest and her outbreak is far worse. We reached back out to Pediatric Care and asked them to prescribe the medicine Dr. Gloria had previously referenced. They said they would not help us since we had asked for our records to be sent to another doctor. We asked for a Telehealth visit, but they rudely said they would not do this because our case is closed. A Telehealth visit has been their standard for any bump, bruise, or other rash we were concerned about in the past, and allowed us to see the doctor immediately rather than waiting for an appointment. We were clearly being punished for planning to go to a doctor who took our insurance. We reiterated that we could not get into the new doctor until the summer and needed a fast appointment due to the rapidly spreading virus (that they had not resolved the first time we brought it to them), and after much pushback from us, the office assistant very rudely told us that we could schedule to come in for another visit and they could let us know at the appointment if they could do anything. We could not afford to pay our average out of pocket cost of $300 for an appointment just to see if they'd be willing to help us or write a prescription, and also could not wait for an appointment due to the rapidly spreading nature, so we were forced to go elsewhere. They were very clearly done caring about my children or our family despite years of seeing them, and we are extremely disappointed and disheartened by their attitude, extreme hostility from the office staff, and inability of the doctor to resolve the issue when we first brought it to them.

She encouraged us to book a full appointment, so we did. We then had a 90-minute appointment that consisted mostly of discussing our daughter's medical history and current health issues, but no treatment plan or concrete recommendations were provided. The only action taken was ordering a blood draw. It took a full week just to receive the requisition form, something our other doctors always provide the same or next day. When the requisition finally arrived, we noticed tests were ordered that we had specifically said were not needed (such as cortisol and thyroid panels), because our daughter's endocrinologist regularly monitors those. After the blood draw, communication essentially stopped. We emailed a week later asking if results had been received and also asked for guidance ordering a stool test, mentioning that we wanted to schedule our next appointment once that was done and also mentioning that our daughter isn't doing well. We never received any reply. Even after blood results were available and uploaded in our patient portal, there was no follow-up, and no review of the findings, even though there were some abnormal blood markers. The office simply never contacted us again. Given the lack of communication, lack of guidance, and absence of a treatment plan, we cannot recommend this provider. We felt our daughter was ultimately abandoned without any follow-through despite her not feeling well and our attempt to move forward with care.
