I stayed at Farmer Bob's Campground for three nights over the Battle at Bristol weekend with five…read moreother friends. We stayed in tents at a regular site (no electric or water hookups). The campground staff was very helpful leading up to our stay whenever I would email them with questions or concerns. We planned to arrive late at night/early in the morning so we weren't sure if we could check in, but thankfully the check-in area was open 24/7 allowing us to set up when most would be asleep. Near our campsite, the campground set up a little shop area with multiple coolers of ice for sale, which came in very handy with our food and beverage consumption. Also at the shop, they had hats, t-shirts, koozies, and shot glasses with Farmer Bob's logos on them, along with bug spray, ponchos, and other camping supplies. The workers there were very helpful and even recommended that we take a short drive to the nearby lake if we weren't busy to experience the beauty of the land. The proximity of the campground to the speedway way wasn't too far, but it was a decent walk. Farmer Bob's provided shuttle buses to the speedway anyways, which we took advantage of. After the game, on the way back we walked back and surprisingly got back to our site pretty easily thanks to paths on the campground from the road. Camping at Farmer Bob's was a great experience and the next time I plan to camp in Bristol that will be the first place I go to.

The owners are very friendly and will help with any question or problem (camping or locality related). The campground is quiet and near the track. They offer a shuttle (for donations) to and from the track before racing starts and a shuttle to the track before the race starts. All the donations go to a local church youth group. A lot of the campers a repeat customers and are like a family. We love Dave and Kay!

They were very knowledgable of the area and gave us recommendations on where to eat, hike and visit. This campsite was electric and water only and did they didn't have a dump station to my knowledge. That wasn't a big deal seeing we were passing a Cabela's near by that had one. Despite not having a dump station they still get a 5 star because of how welcoming they were to us.

Reservations were easy to make, and the person we spoke with was friendly. But, we were concerned because the sites on the online campground map looked pretty tight. We arrived late in the evening, so the office was closed. There was an envelope waiting for us on the door with campground and campsite information. The campground itself was pretty small, and the campsites were stacked right on top of each other. Also, the numbering system for the sites was confusing, and we weren't sure which site we were supposed to be using. When we found our site, there was a truck parked on our campsite. The campground manager saw that we were struggling and came to help. Comments on the campground: - The campground office and store were nice, but their hours are pretty limited. - People were quiet and respectful of each other. - The bath house was about 200 yards away, but it was nice, had lots of room and was clean. - WiFi was weak and unstable - There was no fire ring or fire pit and none were available for rent. We ended up going to Walmart and buying one that weighs 10 pounds, and we can take it with us in the future if a campsite doesn't have one. - The campsite was short, but our 30 foot travel trailer fit, just barely. - Even though the sites are very small, the utilities were not in a convenient location. We had to use 2 water hoses to connect fresh water and 3 sewer hoses to connect to the sewer. That was a pain, and I had to go to Walmart to buy extra hoses to finish setting up. We stayed for 4 nights. Overall, it was an ok stay. The campsite was functional, the campground store was nice, and the bathhouse was clean and nice. However, because of the small campsites being stacked on top of each other and the inconvenient utility hookups, we will look for other campgrounds the next time. I give Shadrack Campground a 4/10 overall.

The owner came out and called his friend to bring a truck and got our camper parked. The repair shop wasn't able to get the truck fixed before the weekend was over, so Rocco said we could keep it there as long as needed. Highly recommend staying at Hicks. They treat you like family and went way above and beyond! Even when we came back the following Sunday we were welcomed in. Can't wait to return.

We came…read morefor race stayed on same side as track just up a few levels.. we had great views of trucks coming in on highway before the race. It was an easy walk to vendors and the track. The staff ate like a well oiled machine.. check in was easy! They took up by atv to our site. They had an ice truck running during day to get your coolers filled for race for small fee. If you had questions they had answers. We have stayed several years here for race! We stay for proximity and the fact we had full hook ups.

OK location to camp, but the amenities are very very largely exaggerated. Basically paid $400 (two…read morespots) for a random spot in the open grass, where no one stopped by to verify our sites. THE BIGGER ISSUE: I was charged three separate times for the campground over the course of almost two months (three $400 charges totaling almost $1,200; I had only authorized the original $400 charge). Apparently I'm not the only one this has happened to, according to other reviews online. The charges came at random times/dates and were completely unexpected both times. They never responded to emails or phone calls/voicemails, and I had to contact my bank for a refund and to block them from charging my card again. I tried calling for two weeks, and nothing was ever returned. Would not recommend.
