The owner came out and called his friend to bring a truck and got our camper parked. The repair shop wasn't able to get the truck fixed before the weekend was over, so Rocco said we could keep it there as long as needed. Highly recommend staying at Hicks. They treat you like family and went way above and beyond! Even when we came back the following Sunday we were welcomed in. Can't wait to return.

Having quiet time start at 2 am is NOT a good idea. Midnight is late enough. Some people have children, and some people do like to get some sleep. Those that party and carry on til 2 am never stop after that because they are drunk and obnoxious. Security can tell them a million times to stop, but as soon as he rolls away, they start again. If this place wants to maintain the family atmosphere they advertise, they need to revisit quiet time. It's a great place until late night.

The prices are fairly steep if you prefer a "hook-up" location, but the dry section is very popular and affordable. Why not FIVE STARS? The owners need to put money back into the property with much needed maintenance. Not trimming brush and weeds allow many unexpected pests. There is also much needed maintenance on the driveways especially at the entrance with multiple pot holes. They could also work on the grading issues in the parking areas. Maintain the property and it's an easy two star jump!

Mind you we had our rv park there threw the year but we only stayed 3 or 4 wks every 4 months . So we weren't there all the time at first it was 700 a month with wifi included and ele was 25cents per killerwatts that adds up pretty quick by the time we decided to leave they were charging our card 900 a mo th and pre charge for months we were staying cause they put t our card on auto pay becareful of that . I stayed at Farmer Bob's Campground for three nights over the Battle at Bristol weekend with five…read moreother friends. We stayed in tents at a regular site (no electric or water hookups). The campground staff was very helpful leading up to our stay whenever I would email them with questions or concerns. We planned to arrive late at night/early in the morning so we weren't sure if we could check in, but thankfully the check-in area was open 24/7 allowing us to set up when most would be asleep. Near our campsite, the campground set up a little shop area with multiple coolers of ice for sale, which came in very handy with our food and beverage consumption. Also at the shop, they had hats, t-shirts, koozies, and shot glasses with Farmer Bob's logos on them, along with bug spray, ponchos, and other camping supplies. The workers there were very helpful and even recommended that we take a short drive to the nearby lake if we weren't busy to experience the beauty of the land. The proximity of the campground to the speedway way wasn't too far, but it was a decent walk. Farmer Bob's provided shuttle buses to the speedway anyways, which we took advantage of. After the game, on the way back we walked back and surprisingly got back to our site pretty easily thanks to paths on the campground from the road. Camping at Farmer Bob's was a great experience and the next time I plan to camp in Bristol that will be the first place I go to.

OK location to camp, but the amenities are very very largely exaggerated. Basically paid $400 (two…read morespots) for a random spot in the open grass, where no one stopped by to verify our sites. THE BIGGER ISSUE: I was charged three separate times for the campground over the course of almost two months (three $400 charges totaling almost $1,200; I had only authorized the original $400 charge). Apparently I'm not the only one this has happened to, according to other reviews online. The charges came at random times/dates and were completely unexpected both times. They never responded to emails or phone calls/voicemails, and I had to contact my bank for a refund and to block them from charging my card again. I tried calling for two weeks, and nothing was ever returned. Would not recommend.

This place used to be really nice. As of this year I think we've had what will be our last stay…read more Overcrowding: The campground has added way too many tent sites without adequate parking. The result is 0 parking spots and no space for anyone to comfortably enjoy themselves. The fire pits all blow smoke at each other and the tents fill up with other tent sites fire pit smoke. Noise issues: Want to go to sleep at a reasonable time? Too bad. Two nights in a row a bunch of drunkards were blasting music and having a great time from 9pm until 3am. Don't plan on getting much sleep if it's a busy weekend. Barking dogs, screaming kids, loud music, and noisy people well into the night. Safety concerns: the main small beach near the domes where everyone plays is littered with boulders and sharp rocks in the water. Maybe nothing can be done about that. However open inspecting the rotting wood steps leading to the water I found an actual sharp-to-a-point metal spike sticking straight up out of the wood. Luckily I was able to hammer down with a large rock, however that was an impaled foot or worse waiting to happen. There's lots of exposed rebar and it's generally unsafe. Considering how many kids and drunk adults loiter in that area, it's only a matter of time until someone needs stitches. No wonder they have you sign a liability waiver to be here. Lack of facility maintenance: The door locks on most of the bathrooms don't work. The hot water in the showers is barely functional if at all. The wood ramp to the shipping container showers becomes very slippery when wet and poses a safety hazard. There's a wasp sanctuary under the deck as well. Several adults and children were stung this weekend simply walking up the ramp to the bathrooms. With all the money this place is making is there no time to fix and maintain these things? Last but not least, THE CAMP DOGS: a gentleman came to our group and asked that we put all our dogs on leashes (despite them already being on leashes at the time...) and then allows the "camp dog" which is a large black and white husky to roam freely. This dog is an A**HOLE. It constantly bothers people's camp sites and tries to pick fights with other dogs. Our dogs were personally harassed by this dog when he came to our campsite and started eating our dogs food. Then tried to start a fight with our dogs. Then tried to BITE MY WIFE. I had to chase him off every couple hours both days. This dog should not be allowed off leash however the campground owners don't have enough self awareness to do so. All in all, it's been fun over the last few years, but this place has grown too big for the owners and staff to properly manage. Won't likely be coming here again, and we'll be sure to let everyone know what it's become.
