Well, not surprisingly I decided to pop in for a drink, and I was certainly rewarded with some great beers, and a rather nice atmosphere as well. Then again there is really little that you can do wrong with these small craft beer breweries, which honestly seem to be getting smaller and smaller as time goes on. This place is no exception.

The tunes, the people, the bar staff - everything was pointing towards this being my new happy place. I ordered a Batlow Saison Cider (I know. Amazing. Saison CIDER) and chatted with the bar staff. I was intreguied by their boilermaker menu and after a while, we were walking away like I was a regular part of the furniture. There's just something about Catchment. It's designed really well, the venue feels inviting and the staff are there to have a good time and make you great drinks. Catchment gave me an opportunity to smash beers, play darts and have good chats; what more could you want?

Everything was decorated so beautifully and it really matched the aesthetic of the bar on the top floor. The food and service was amazing! All the baristas and servers on the night of March 22nd, 2025 were so friendly and helpful. We had margherita pizza, mushroom pizza, sausage pizza, chicken sliders, and a charcuterie table. The beer they had on tap was so good compared to some bars we have in the United States. I liked the alcoholic ginger beer (The Sneaky Gingy) the most compared to any other place I've ever had it! One of the baristas told me that their boss makes everything in-house. Later in the night, the ceremony room turned into a dance hall. It was so much fun spending time with everyone, either having fun conversations with each other or dancing to the best songs on the dance floor. One of the baristas who had told me there would be a wait on the ginger beer actually came up to me on the dance floor with my drink, which was so sweet and thoughtful! We had so much fun and we are definitely going to be coming back just to enjoy the food and atmosphere again the next time we come visit our friends in Brisbane!

This is in the arts area of the city, with many galleries, restaurants, street art, and bars. There's lots of options here for non-beer drinkers too, plus a robust menu of hearty bar foods. I got a tasting paddle, which I thought were large pours for the price. The bartenders were welcoming and quick to serve. They have outdoor seating as well, plus open sides in the hotter months. If you're a beer fan and new to the area, this place is a must-visit. They also have a linked beer store to-go, which also has wine and distilled selections.

They have walls lines with bookshelves and books and it is gives off a relaxed vibe. We only ate here once and from what I remember the food was nice. The beer is definitely what stood out. Great selection of beer and reasonably priced for craft beer. They also have live music and the place gets pretty busy. Great atmosphere, great beer and the staff were pretty knowledgeable on the beer they serve too which is great. When back in Brisbane i'll be back for sure!
