Great beer selection. Local options and full pints. Brisbane needed a place like this.

The craft beer scene is booming. One only has to reflect on the number of bars that have opened in recent times or are opening soon.We love how Brisbane brewing co has converted the laneway at 124 Boundary St in West End, into a little hideaway from the hustle of the the main road. Located in between Leno's Fruiters & Spaghetti House. Walk through the cool laid-back alfresco laneway, & inside, a mixture of timber, astroturf, plants, garden furniture, funky lighting, & a signature Frank and Mimi signage, to complete a very open look that takes advantage of Qld's sunny disposition. It all fits perfectly with the diverse & eclectic vibe of West End. Brisbane brewing co, has 8 house beers with a couple of guest beers from other artisan breweries. One of the highlights for beer enthusiasts would be the beer tanks located next to the main bar, so patrons can sip on their fave beer & also watch the brewing process. Food is of course part of the Brisbanebrewingco experience, with a Deli offering up meats, cheeses, salads, breads, share options,a kids menu for families, & mains to cater for all sorts of hunger. Mains range from $24 - $36, are big portions & can choose up to 2 sides. "Platters for 2", are $24-$36, are absolutely massive, & there is also a vegetarian option. Less substantial but still to "share", are "tasters", ranging from $14 - $18, with the "Hoagies", baguette filled goodness, also being a good option at $15. There was a group of us & we ordered: (1) Parmy $24, house cut free range chicken breast, crumbed schnitzel topped with Heinz, smoked leg ham. (2) Pulled pork shoulder Hoagie $15, with apple slaw, feta & tomato relish. (3) Brewer's Platter $36, slow cooked Darling Downs beef brisket, pulled pork shoulder, potato & bacon salad, vintage cheddar, house pickels, smoked tomato relish, baguettes & corn bread. Great times & great tastes were had. The Brewer's platter is a generous offering as were the others & it was very filling. Afterwards you'll be tempted to have a siesta on the astroturf. Brisbane brewing co is a great addition to West End & another awesome venue for Brisbane's burgeoning craft beer scene.

I had "that bloody duck" with asparagus & green beans, and the watermelon, feta & mint salad.

We had this our last stop on our brewery crawl as it's near the main bus depot heading home. It's a gorgeous spot with low ceilings, pleasant lighting, and a great selection of beer. They have beers from around the world and regularly participate in special tappings, but most of what you'll find is from Queensland. This is in the arts area of the city, with many galleries, restaurants, street art, and bars. There's lots of options here for non-beer drinkers too, plus a robust menu of hearty bar foods. I got a tasting paddle, which I thought were large pours for the price. The bartenders were welcoming and quick to serve. They have outdoor seating as well, plus open sides in the hotter months. If you're a beer fan and new to the area, this place is a must-visit. They also have a linked beer store to-go, which also has wine and distilled selections.

Wow! What a find! My favorite place to visit in Brisbane!!!…read more Tons of beer options. They even have Westvleteren (only their #8 and at $55 Aus)! Most beers are Belgian. Some are local. A++ Their Belgian meatball with beer gravy and cheesy mash was tremendously good. Also, try the BGC Bread! A Seating is a bit rough, but who cares with the beer selection. B The location is down an alley with little to it. Look for the brick wall with lush ferns on windowsills and empty kegs.

They have new beers on tap all the time so every time you come, it'll be a beer-venture! They welcome for you to taste the beer before purchasing which is awesome! I tried the apple cider they had on tap that was pretty tasty. Another cool thing about Scratch is that they let you bring your own food to eat while you drink or Arrivederci nearby will deliver! They REALLY sold me with their beer-infused ice cream! The ice cream comes from Lick! and I had passionfruit ice cream!! Perfect combination and great way to cool down from the Brisbane heat. Awesome place with awesome staff. If I had a friend visiting, I would definitely take them to this place because it's unique and chill. Oh and on a Friday, get in early because even around 4pm the place was already packed!

It is quite a big venue and has 2 bars. One bar is a little smaller, has different taps and does take away sales. This bar seems to have some of the rarer beers on than the main bar. We tried to newly released Holgate millennium falcon here, which was amazing. The main bar is massive and has couches, bar stools, tables, pool tables and an awesome wall made up of comic book pages. They have walls lines with bookshelves and books and it is gives off a relaxed vibe. We only ate here once and from what I remember the food was nice. The beer is definitely what stood out. Great selection of beer and reasonably priced for craft beer. They also have live music and the place gets pretty busy. Great atmosphere, great beer and the staff were pretty knowledgeable on the beer they serve too which is great. When back in Brisbane i'll be back for sure!
