Have used this Vet since I was 13 with my first horse back in 1980 when Mike Brink's dad was the main vet. They have cared for my dogs, cats, sheep, cows and horses. The vets have always been caring, good with animals, patient in answering my questions and realistic about outcomes, not offering false hope at high cost or making me feel guilty when making decisions about my elderly pets, of which there have been a few. They generally do follow up phone calls when that would be best for my pets too, like after surgery. read more

Wow! I have been a client of this clinic for 40 years and was just hung up on by the receptionist after trying to get my kitty in to be seen for a sudden health issue. I was told to go somewhere else and believe me I have spent several days trying to get her in to see anyone in Redding with zero success. It's awful to have to watch your beloved pet suffering and have no way to help her. Apparently euthanasia is the only option for a sick pet in Redding. I certainly won't be dealing with jerks like her! It's really a shame to have such a negative experience when Dr Brink has always been such a good Veterinarian. read more

I just can't say enough good things about Brink Vet. I have been to the vet 4 times in the last 2 months. Three of these visits were emergencies with no appointment and they always got me in. Dr. Mike Brink is always honest, caring and takes the time to explain everything to me in detail and in terms I understand. I trust him completely. Dr. Callie is amazing as well. She was kind, caring and also took the time to talk to me. When needing to talk to the vet on the phone, after my visits, both Dr. Mike and Dr. Callie called me back and addressed my concerns. I feel that their prices are totally reasonable and they don't push anything on you that is unnecessary. The front office staff is great as well. Been going to Brink's Vet Clinic number of years. Vet doc's are very excellent. Although, Dr. Brink has become quite irritable to owner's and heard this while in waiting room, then it happened to me. Mostly, the disappointment has been women at the front desk, especially Office Manager Jennifer who interfers with the owner's and doctors plan for the owner's pet(s). They have a high turn over of vet-tech's and front office staff, except Jennifer who needs to be let go. The stress caused by Jennifer on several occasion's and then Dr. Brinks behavior being stressed and rude is enough to call it quits with this office. They were good years ago. BUT! The vet doc's are excellent at their skills, but very political even with owner's-customers, which is not appreciated. You might as well look for other excellent vet doc's and save being stressed by Jennifer and Dr. Brink. read more

I have taken my dog there for years and wouldn't trust anyone else. We saw several vets and they were all great, staff was wonderful. We had to have our Boston Terrier, our "baby", put down close to Christmas in 2018 and they made it so pleasant and talked us through everything that would happen. I highly recommend going there and the staff is so loving and wonderful. I can't imagine they would ever get a bad review. I'll be calling them shortly because I may have adopted a stray dog to see if he's chipped to get him back to his owners, otherwise, we're keeping him. I took my cat, Sophie, here for a check up and to stock up on Revolution. I came at the time I was told and it seemed that I was put in the schedule for a completely different time. That didn't matter though because they still got me in within 10 minutes. They all were very friendly. I forget the name of the vet who I saw but she was very informative and did so well with Sophie. Best vets in my opinion in this area. Dr. Kristen has been very good with my cats and dogs and is also good about calling back. She is patient and answers all your questions. I have never had any issues with this Veterinary office. I don't know Dr. Brinks as well. Dr Kristen was very kind and sympathetic when my 2 older dogs were aging. One had to be eventually euthanized and she stayed with me while my sweet old girl was put down and helped me through it . They don't charge a high fee to Euthanize either which I find a big plus as it's hard enough losing your beloved pets without a big fee charged for the one needle process. Good with my aging cat as well giving her arthritis meds. The office is well organized and you usually don't have to wait too long for help like some of the other vet offices. They have pretty nice attitudes too for as much as they have to take on daily. Thank you for being good to our fur babies. You are appreciated!!! Janice K read more

Been bringing all of our pets to the Brink's since 1995. These folks are the top of the line as far as care goes for large and small animals, and the staff is VERY helpful. Care and compassion run from the top to the bottom with these guys. Even when we moved from Bella Vista to Redding we kept bringing out babies here. Always clear about their prices for services, will quote you for whatever you need be it vaccines or dental work for your dog. My family started using the now retired Dr. Bill Brink about 50+ years ago for all our horses and various other animals. He is so wonderful with animals. Now we use his son Dr. Mike and other vets at Brinks and they are all wonderful. We no longer have horses, but we have a menagerie of other animals now. There is Dr. Kristen whom I'm especially grateful for her compassion and understanding. The first time I had met her she came out for a ranch call to put down a horse I had rescued because she had arthritis bad in her legs and could no longer get up and down. She saw how upset I was (an understatement) and very sweet she walked me through letting me know what was happening every step. For that I will forever be grateful making my horrible, heartbreaking experience a little less so. I really needed her there that day with her understanding compassion! read more

Hard to believe I'm the first reviewer of this place. We took our dog Shadow here and he was in bad shape. Dr Kristen x-rayed his leg under sedation and was able to give an accurate diagnosis of ruptered ACL, broken hip, and bone cancer. He was 13 and in a lot of pain. She told us how it was and helped us say goodbye to him. She was gentle and kind. Charges seemed reasonable too. I think this is a great place to take your pet. I took my 8 yr old Lab to have some lumps removed. I was supposed to be there at *8 am, I was but he was not taken into the room until 9, I was told he would have surgery soon. I left him and about 2 pm called to see how he was doing and was told he had not even had surgery yet !!!! I was suppose to pick him up at 4. When did they plan on doing his surgery ?No one there knew, they had been busy apparently too busy to even call me and communicate the delay , meanwhile my poor baby boy had been in a cage for 5 hrs no food or water for 17 hrs, I can't believe how abusive this is!!! My pup wimpered for 24 hrs when I got him home, I cancelled the surgery , gave him some water and food, the poor dog was so frightened, I feel so bad ,what he must of thoughts he sat in the cage all day , thirsty and scared and not one person called to give me the option of rescheduling because even though I had booked this surgery a month ago they were "too busy" to do his surgery !!!!!! Don't EVER take your pet to Brinks unless you really don't care about them, these people are monsters !!!! read more
