When I took the mask to the Kihei shop to see if they could repair it they just offered to replace the mask entirely. What really stuck out to me was paying only $5 for an interisland pick up and 24 hr drop off service that wouldn't require bringing rented gear across the islands. In the name of convenience and wanting to see the novelty for myself, I made an online one week gear reservation for prescription snorkels. That costed a little bit more, but absolutely worth the upgrade to be able to see another world under the waves. Pickup at the store was a breeze! The staff was super friendly and courteous, and went out of their way to make sure my prescription was exactly what I needed to see clearly. Included in the rental was an anti-fog solution and a handy fish guide, which were both super helpful and appreciated! The gear was top notch, definitely of great quality and most likely better than whatever $40 gear I'd get off Amazon. More importantly, the 24 hr drop off service worked amazing! I dropped off my 1st rental after hours in the convenient drop off box, and at my next stay in Oahu picked up a fresh set of gear using my previous rental receipt! Drop off was just as easy as well, and the staff at this store was just as friendly and helpful too. Honestly, if you need snorkel gear or want the convenience of not having to schlep gear across islands, Snorkel Bob's is THE only way to go! Not only would you be supporting an amazing local business, but you'll be thankful you have only the best gear in hand to make your snorkeling adventures really unforgettable.
