They are truly a 5 star business because they are THAT AWESOME! We booked the upscale wine tasting package and it was just the best day ever. Our driver, Jose Luis Blanco, was friendly, prompt, and just a nice and sweet guy. He made us feel safe and is just so knowledgeable as he is from Ensenada. It was just my bf and I so it felt like we had our own private driver. We went to three beautiful wineries in Valle de Guadalupe and we did not feel rushed as he patiently waited for us. The wineries weren't too busy since it was in the morning so it felt like our own VIP experience. On our way back to Ensenada he asked us if we wanted to stop for tacos or souvenirs in the downtown Ensenada area before getting back on the ship. He even let us stop at OXXO for snacks! Though we didn't do the taco and souvenir stop though we had plenty of time to do so, it was just so nice and thoughtful that he offered that! He was just the best driver! 20/10! The best part is, we were back on the ship at 3:30pm and the ship leaves at 5:30pm. They will make sure you are back with more than enough time which was my biggest concern! Even if we stopped for tacos and souvenirs, we were still back to the Ensenada area around 3:00pm from our tastings with enough time to do this and be back on the ship on time. This bus ride to La Bufadora from Ensenada, taking nearly an hour each way, was the best leg of the…read moreexcursion IMHO. But probably not for those suffering from a fear of heights. Quite hairy at times getting there. And on a narrow two way road overlooking the ocean. Beautiful views though. After arriving at La Bufadora's parking lot, a huge shoutout to the driver for getting us there safely. And before stepping off the bus our guide Roxanne gave us a prep talk on what to expect. Of course its main destination is their famous blowhole. While the taco spot Lidia's Grill is also extremely popular. Riders were even given the option of bringing their tacos back to the bus to enjoy while riding back to Ensenada. But before reaching that very popular blowhole, we were given advice about first weaving our way through the huge marketplace and its very aggressive hawkers. "If not interested just ignore them." Think LA's Olvera Street on steroids if you've ever been there. And much larger, at least a quarter of a mile in length with everything imaginable being offered. But Roxanne boldly guided us through and finally we reached the blowhole and the beautiful scenery overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Then you're left to take in the views on your own. Just remember to head back to the bus to reboard by 2:10 for our return bus ride back to the port. And conditions were right for amazing bursts of waves from the blowhole. While some spent almost the entire time at Lidia's putting in and awaiting their taco orders. It's that popular.

One thing, none of us speak Spanish and our three tour guides only spoke limited English, so the communication was a little tough. We are beginner riders (first time for a couple of us), so more instruction/explanation would have been nice. For instance, the stirrups weren't adjusted per rider so they were all either too short or too long. We used the transportation service to and from our ship port, and it was very convenient and timely. Our guides also took photos and videos during our ride that they sent us after, which was a nice perk! Overall great experience!

Playa Ensenada is a very cool beach. It stretches about 12 miles (15 km) from the Malecon…read more(boardwalk) near the port of Ensenada down to the Estero Beach Resort on the edge of Todos Santos Bay (which is as big as San Diego Bay). On a huge stretch along the middle there are no structures to be seen from the beach, which makes it very scenic and natural. Just a long stretch of sand with a gentle slope into the Pacific Ocean. The water stays shallow for a long ways into the ocean. You could probably still stand up about 50 yards out there, but the water was too cold in April to stay in that long to find out. We'll be back in Summer to try. People walk their dogs unleashed and the sun glistens off the water. Pure sand and no rocks, this beach is a delight. Wide open to the ocean, there can be strong rip currents. For a beach dude like me it rates a 4.5 stars, so I'll round it up to 5 stars.
