I wanted my tub and tiles refinished because the $30 tub paint I bought from Amazon started to peel after a few days (ugh!!). After getting three ridiculously expensive quotes from other companies and feeling frustrated, I told Raphael from Brillo Restoration that our budget was a certain amount and that he shouldn't waste his time to come over and do an estimate. He said it was actually possible to meet our budget but he would have to send Markitos over to do an estimate. Markitos gave us a great affordable price to paint our tub and tiles white and he was super nice. It took him 8 hours one day and he came back the second day to do some caulking. Even though he set up a huge industrial fan, the smell was very strong and we had to let it air out for a week before the smell disappeared. The tub and tiles look fabulous and I love the results! I wanted to take a moment to share my experience with Rafael and the hard working folks at Brillo Restoration. Initially I had contacted other travertine specialists but was frustrated with wide variation in opinions and especially pricing, and then my luck changed after contacting Rafael. Rafael was very flexible and worked around my schedule, he came late in evening as I requested to see the job. He really took the time to discuss and explain all the nuances of restoring our travertine floor to its former glory, and ultimately also provided the best pricing! Our travertine floors which had been previously neglected, mistreated, and partially ruined by the previous occupants ended up being beautifully restored to a honed finish by Rafael and his team. I cannot commend Rafael enough for his patience and great communication throughout the entire process. He and his team really take pride in their work and really do more than expected. In fact, to ensure my satisfaction, Rafael did quite a few such extra things, including meticulously refinishing a portion of outdoor damaged flooring, as well as polishing a marble table for us. I'm so happy with the cleaning that they did on my quartzite countertops. These countertops are more porous than I realized when I had them installed. After 6 years of heavy use, my kitchen counters were looking very scratched and marred. Seriously, a glass of water could sweat and leave a ring on the countertop. Or, how dingy the counter tops looked nearest to the sink where water splashed from washing dishes all the time. Brillo buffed out the counters and they have a mirror shine like they're new. And I had been thinking I might need to replace the countertops! This was a much more economical solution and I know that I'll hire them again in the future. I also had them clean all my tiles on the first floor of my house. I usually have a cleaning company mop once a month but having Brillo for one visit made a noticeable difference. They're a busy business so expect to have to wait a few weeks before they can get you on the schedule. It is worth the wait though! read more

Rafael is fantastic! I called Rafael because I had some deep scratches from the refrigerator being moved across 18" travertine tiles. I originally had work performed by Silver State but they didn't really attempt to address the problem since there was some risk involved. He took the time to explain the work and trade-offs with what we were trying to accomplish. We went into the project needing to make some big decisions and he educated me on our options. Ultimately, Rafael said we might be better off replacing the tiles at a much higher cost, but he wanted to take a shot with his diamond polishers to fix it. About an hour later, you'd have no idea what was previously scratched into those tiles. Bonus - he does the work himself, not sending some random estimator to your house and then send more random crew to clean. He takes pride in his work and make sure everything is up to his and your standard. We have travertines in most of our house and 2 bathrooms with ceramic tiles. He cleaned them with such details (brushed over several times with the machine, not just run it over once; scrubbed the grout lines first with brushes, not just to run the machines over; recolor/seal the white grout lines to look like brand new; sealed the stones and filled a few holes we have on the stone floor). Outstanding service and very courteous and friendly. We've had a couple of projects done around the house lately, from painting, remodeling bathrooms, floor...etc. It's hard to find good people doing good work and Rafael is definitely one of the best contractors we've ever experienced. My bathroom counter top was in desperate need of being fixed up, hard water stains that wouldn't go away no matter what products I used to try and clean it and serious lack of shine. We were getting ready to put our house on the market, and had a corner tile chipped on the tub decking. We had just lived with it because it looked like it would be a real hassle to repair, but now were faced with needing to get it fixed. I called Brillo and sent a picture by text to get a quote. They asked if I had a spare tiles, and it so happened I had one left over from construction. They gave me a price and offered a time the following week, apologizing they couldn't get to it sooner. I admit I was nervous about only having one tile, because if it cracked during cutting, I was hosed without any backup. When they showed up, it was three guys. They matched the grout, and flawlessly made several cuts on the tile. They made the corner look better than when it was brand new, touched up grout in two other areas, and cleaned off some crusted grout in another area. They were in and out, didn't leave a mess, were courteous and personable, and my house looks great going on the market. Rafael, the owner of Brillo Restoration came out yesterday to repair a chip in our granite along with polishing and sealing. While out we asked him about a chip in our marble fireplace and 3 chips in our ceramic floor tiles. He fixed them all for a modest price PLUS he buffed out a water stain on the marvel that I could not get out! His 2 hour estimate became 4 hours as he took his time, explain the the processes and consulted on color matching. The chips have vanished and our countertops shine like new.
