He also left me with a temporary crown on an implant (1.5K) but after arguing with him, I was just worn down and I sucked it up and decided to get the permanent crown somewhere else. He also charged me for a set of x-rays (over 1K) which is something my insurance normally would have paid but he had just got a new piece of equipment he wanted to try out. He never told me I would have to pay for this, nor did he charge me until he knew I was leaving. When I first started going here, I had no problem but after the Pandemic, the whole atmosphere changed, and the vibe seemed off and really sketchy. And then the drama regarding the overcharges and hassle getting some of my money back, I was done. Just beware and if I were a new patient, I would get a receipt for every visit so I would have backup documentation should I ever need it.

Basically, they dropped the ball, blew off their commitment to follow up and now tell me they can't do anything unless I get the x-rays they neglected to take. One of those things has been tooth pain and finding out I needed to have a root canal before leaving. I was referred to Uzzel Dental Group by a friend and they were able to schedule to see me within two weeks. Dr. Uzzel is the most gentle, kind, and exceptionally talented Dentist I have ever been treated by. He and his staff have been clear with all that is going on and how they would treat it. Dr. Kristy Bultema at Beavercreek Endodontics who he referred to perform my root canal itself was warm and comforting (even after having some not so fun side effects from the numbing agent) and did an amazing job. Then to top it all off due to some PCSing gymnastics I had to wait at Dr. Uzzel's office for a couple of hours after walking across the street from having my root canal done to put the permanent crown on and his staff has been absolutely amazing. (To reiterate the wait was not their fault it was due to PCSing fun. If anything it was a huge favor to squeeze me in before our out processing date.) His staff has taken care of me all morning. Treating me like family. Even giving me snacks and making sure I have been comfortable. Additionally, I had a beautiful connection with a fellow patient that was extremely encouraging. I would recommend Uzzel Dental Group and Beavercreek Endodontics to anyone looking for dental care in the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base area. They never try to up-sell- in fact, Dr. Dean is pretty conservative about what is necessary for the kids and waiting until all the permanent teeth have come in (when he could easily sell a customer on braces, whitening treatments, etc). Our 8 year old still insists that no shots are given for cavities (he had 2 & they distracted him enough that he had/has no clue a needle was involved).
