I do not recommend this place, my husband and I had a horrible experience today. We have been there…read moretwice before and had good service from the Dentist Dr. Shah and the receptionists. The visit started with our appointment at 2pm and we waited over an hour to get called back which was annoying but would have been okay if not for what happened after. We feel absolutely discriminated against as my husband is transgender and on his file is his current name he uses and has used for countless years now, the receptionists as well as doctors and everyone we've seen know his name and no problems had happened thus far. The nurse calling him back used his old legal name to which we told her please not to do, as it is a very real safety concern and could cause harm that she clearly does not understand. As she took as back we were visibly a bit annoyed, we had waited over an hour, we were hungry and my husband was put at risk as anyone who knows and or cares about LGBT issues in the world today would understand the consequences of. We sat in the room and the assistant left the room while my husband and I talked about how annoyed we were over the situation and he started tearing up. The assistant came back in and asked if he was okay to which he said "Yeah I'm fine, please dont worry about me" she then left again and we kept speaking about how this is why it is so hard to go to doctors and how disrespectful it is and feels to be treated as someone youre not, especially when you visibly are a grown man. She then came back and put her hands on my husbands shoulder while saying "Hey sorry--" and my husband flinched away saying "Please do not touch me" My husband is autistic and is very uncomfortable with people he doesnt know touching him, and I also find it inappropriate if not medically necessary. The woman then said we were gonna have to leave the office which of course we did and will not return. I called back again after leaving to let them know I will be leaving bad reviews, we felt very disrespected and will continue elsewhere as I'm sure they would have suggested anyway. I spoke to the manager Angie I believe and she refused by right to give me the name of the assistant so I am not sure of her name. They were standing their ground and insisting he was being aggressive in standing up for himself and if that is how they want to take the situation so be it but we will not be returning and I will be telling everyone to steer clear. I mean the 1.5 star overall rating on here says it all. While the actual work was fine and some people were kind, I would never return somewhere that makes trans patients feel unsafe, unheard, disrespected and made out to be aggressive and if anyone else like him is thinking of using this dentist I would personally think twice. I would give zero stars if I could but that isn't possible.

So basically bright now comes up when you search affordable dental care no insurance. Which is…read moredisgusting to me because it's my opinion that we were treated horribly. I cried after and I'm not even the one needing work done or paying for it. Please go somewhere else. I went with my friend (19) worried about the cost but was having pain that needed fixed. (The doctor by the way was aware of the financial situation) My friend doesn't have a lot of medical knowledge and the doctor just asked if he had "habits" instead of the usual "do you some, how much sugar do you eat etc" it took several times of asking before this was elaborated on. He then implied that the only way his teeth could be like that is if he did hard drugs and didn't even consider that anything else could be going on when he was told that wasn't the case. He was also rude to his nurse. Then when we got the treatment plan all of the crowns were listed as porcelain (which it's my understanding is just cosmetic and metal ones are about a thousand dollars cheaper each) and the cost came out to 25,000 dollars without insurance. I was hoping for the chance to ask if there were other places to go for cheaper (we are looking for the bare minimum to hold off till he gets out of school and can actually afford anything) No chance was given, no conversation was had he just accused him of lying about not doing drugs and left. and I believe we were estimated for pretty cosmetic porcelain crowns without talking to us about what that meant and other options we might have which I think is completely inappropriate considering we were very young (vulnerable to being taken advantage like that) and worried about paying for it from the start. Additionally, we were not talked to afterwards by anyone about the treatment plan (alternative treatments if we couldn't afford the one that was typed out, how long he had to do it before the damage got significantly worse, what could be done about the pain in the meantime) he was just told to stop his "habits, whatever they are that you're not saying" I'm not saying this will be everybody's experience but the doctor I saw was a classist con man that didn't do his job and the appointment was essentially worthless. We are going to have to pay more money to go have an actual doctor to help us. I'm at least hoping we can get a copy of the X-rays.
