Liz was very professional and a great communicator while setting up the appointment. On the day of my eye surgery, Betsy, the driver, arrived on time to pick me up. Betsy was very professional and kind, the car was spotless and smoke free. Betsy accompanied me to check-in, waited for me to be released after surgery, and safely drove me home. I would not hesitate to call Home Care Assistance again and plan to hire them anytime I need one of their caregivers to stay with my 90-year old mother when I need to be away from home. I mistakenly misquoted some info about my medical history...my fault and while I did find a copy with the info they needed to verify the correct numbers...they no longer wanted to see it, and their NP decided to decline me as a patient until I could get a medical release from my physician. Waste of time for me unfortunately. It would have been better if I did the consult online but I don't think they are allowed to do that? So, I went to another IV vendor across town instead, one that I was already established with and was able to get my IV vitamins there and very little IV fluids were required so no issue with my blood pressure. Anyway, beware if you have any kind of medical history, to be judicious as to how you describe it to the providers as, if they hear anything that's a red flag, they may likely decline to provide you with services and you will have wasted 45 minutes of your day for nothing. Also, if you think you will likely need a medical release, perhaps ask if they can just give it to you up front so you can walk in with it already signed. That way you won't go through what I went through and waste your lunch hour just to be denied services by the oh so congenial nurse practitioner.
