5 stars for customer care and technical support!! Technical…read moresupport goes above and beyond to make sure I understand not only how my service works, but how to use and get the most out of my devices! Customer support has been extremely diligent in responding to my questions. They made sure I have the right plan for my current usage, not what costs the most. I really appreciate them for making sure to resolve the issues I did have and make sure I, the customer, was treated the way they would want to be treated.

I have been waiting 3 months for a refund that should never have been charged. 5/21/2025 my equipment was scheduled to be picked up and I was told I would no longer be charged. 5/26/2025 a payment was taken from my account. Contacted the company and was told a ticket was put in for a refund. July invoice came stating I owed them for equipment not returned. I contacted the company and was informed they were unable to take the equipment off my garage on the original pick up date and they needed to reschedule to do so (they already have all equipment from inside my home picked up on 5/21). I told them to come anytime as this equipment is outside. 7/10/2025, equipment removed, I was told a refund would again be issued. August billing statement arrives, not only without a refund, but with a $5.00 late fee added to the previous charges, which I DO NOT OWE! Called the company again. This time being told that after the August 4th invoice was created, a note was added for the picked up equipment and a refund, so now, they will not issue a refund until after the 9/4/2025 statement comes out. Basically, if they get your money, you will pay hell to get it back because "This is how it is done". The equipment should have been fully credited by 7/10/2025 and a refund issued on 8/4/2025 if this is how they do things. I regret ever doing business with this company now. Horrible accounting services.

Absolutely terrible. Cox really isn't much better. Many years ago At&t turned me into collections…read morebecause I had a final bill that was unpaid. I was never notified and the associate at the time told me that the payment I was making was my final payment and nothing else would need to be done/paid. I had to contact BBB to get the derogatory mark off my credit. I had cox and they were terrible. I had Mediacom and they were great. I moved back to Kansas and went back to At&t. Sigh. I work 6 days a week so I scheduled the technician to come out the day I was off. The day before that I received a message saying the technician would be out the day after I scheduled. I called At&t and spoke to a robot human? After giving up on explaining I agreed that I could try to make it work on my lunch break (great customer service right?) They said it would take an hour tops. 1.5 hours later I had to go back to work and leave the tech so that I could finish up the day. I came back and he had drilled a hole through my wall that wasn't approved by me. I was going to let all of that go but today I checked my credit. I received a hard pull on my credit... for internet service? Are you serious? And to not notify me ahead of time? I'm done with this company.

We have been Cox Communications customers for years but tired of the high prices for services…read more($120/month for phone & premium internet). After receiving regular advertising for U-Verse, promoted by DirectTV, and attracted to the price bundle - Vonage phone and U-Verse internet for $46.99/month - we called to have it installed. BIG MISTAKE! Our technician, Brandon, was very nice, seemed knowledgeable, did a decent job on the install. He stressed several times that if we had any questions or problems to call him, not the 800 customer service number, as he could troubleshoot any problems faster and we would likely have a call outsourced to another country. He left us his cell and his manager's (Nick) cell phone number. Two days later, on a Saturday, I noticed where before we had all green lights on our router, we now had a blinking red light on the broadband signal, intermitten internet coverage, and an upload speed of 1.5mbs. I called first thing Monday morning and left a message on Brandon's cell. No reply. I called the following week, on a Monday morning, left a message, no reply. I called manager Nick on Tuesday morning, left a message, no reply. We went back to Cox Communications Wednesday, had service reinstalled Saturday. THURSDAY late in the day I finally received a call from Brandon. He did apologize for not getting back to me, and when I asked him about the upload speed he stated U-verse can't compete with Cox, 1.5mbs is the top U-Verse can do. Went to the AT&T store to return our router and cancel service, was told all they do at the store is orders to install U-Verse service, we would have to take our router to UPS with the account number, and UPS ships it for free. Went to UPS store, as I was walking in, the counter employee asked me, "U-Verse?" I told him yes, he gave me a routing receipt and return receipt and told me to keep it for 2 years as sometimes U-Verse tries to charge people for equipment not returned. In fact, he jokingly said to put the receipt in a safe deposit box, time capsule, whatever, but to not lose it. As I was in the store another customer came in with 2 plastic bags full of U-verse modems and routers. The employee saw him with the bags and asked, "U-Verse?" The UPS employee said they return up to 15 U-Verse boxes a day. Lesson learned.... When I called Monday to cancel U-Verse, was told in order to pay over the phone ($99 charge so far for 2 weeks of service), it would cost an additional $5. I will have to go back to the local AT&T store to pay....unbelievable!
