This was my first time going through the insurance process, and looking back, I feel like my lack of experience was taken advantage of. I trusted their guidance, but later realized I was paying for coverage that didn't really align with my needs. At the beginning, I was given several discounts (like a student discount) that I later found out I didn't actually qualify for. When it came time for renewal, my premium increased significantly after those discounts were removed. The most frustrating part of my experience was the lack of support after I was in an accident. They were very unhelpful during that process, and I ultimately went to seek help from another local Allstate agent. I ended up canceling my policy. I did have to pay about 10% of the remaining balance (around $20) to close out the policy. Overall, the experience left me feeling like I wasn't properly guided through the insurance process, especially as a first-time customer, and that my trust in their advice wasn't respected.

They neglected to tell me that they bundle insurance without your permission or knowledge and gave me a "renters" policy. I own my home and didn't need their renters policy. He took the initiative to do the research we needed and contacted my mom's agent Robert Cryer, at Dahlmeier insurance who then emailed the appropriate party to obtain the requested information Seth also followed up within an hour to confirm everything had been taken care of both Seth and Robert went out of their way to get this done immediately, which we truly appreciated during such a stressful time, we truly appreciate the professionalism compassion and responsiveness shown throughout this experience and highly recommend Relation Insurance services / Dahlmeier Insurance.

    AAA Chico Branch

This review is for AAA as a whole and not just the Chico branch…read more I bought AAA specifically for the purpose of making a trip across the United States with my small 5 x 8 trailer. I bought the most expensive policy - AAA Plus. It costed around $200. While going across country, one of the lights on my dashboard came on. I looked in my car book and it said do not drive the car. I was only about 20 miles from the next small town, but I stopped and called AAA expecting help. When they found out I had a trailer, they said they could not help me. They could tow my car, but they could not tow my trailer. They expected me to leave my trailer with all my belongings in it by the side of the road. Or I could pay them to tow my trailer. They told me that there was no one in that small town 20 miles ahead of me that could tow my trailer. They said I had to wait for someone from a hundred miles away to come to my location and tow my trailer and I had to pay for it. I sat there for 4 hours in the blazing sun while someone from a hundred miles behind where I had just come from drove to my location. When the tow guy got there, I asked him why somebody from the town 20 miles up the road couldn't come and tow me. He said he did not know why they sent him from so far away, because there were at least three tow services from the town 20 miles away that could have towed me. He hooked everything up and we drove 20 miles up the road. I had to pay him a hookup fee and a per mile charge for towing my 5 x 8 trailer 20 miles. This amounted to over $200.00 - after waiting over four hours for him to get there. He unhooked my trailer at a motel there. Then the driver took my car and dropped it off at the mechanic that AAA had told him to drop it at. AAA told me that they notified that mechanic that I was coming and they chose that shop because he had time to see me. The next day, I had to walk (no taxi's in this tiny town) at least a mile to the mechanic and got in my car so I could sit down and wait. The mechanic was late. I got on the phone and called him. He said he was somewhere else in another town and would be there in about a half an hour. When he finally got there, I told him what AAA had said. He said AAA never called him, he had no idea who I was and could not work on my car for at least a week. He was very mean and rude. I asked him if he could just please look at the warning light that I was talking about on the car and tell me what it was. I put the key in the car and the warning light did not come on. He said, "Well, I don't see anything, so there's nothing wrong." I got in the car and drove away. I went back to the motel and tried to hook my trailer up and I could not. I pulled two guys out of the parking lot to see if they could help me hook the trailer up. One of the guys was so strong he lifted the trailer a bit and then it was able to go onto the hitch. The trailer jack that I had bought for the purpose of me being able to hook the trailer on and off myself proved to be worthless unless the trailer and car were on completely flat ground. When I got to my final destination, I went into a AAA office and talked to a manager about this incident. I feel as though I should be reimbursed for AAA having forced me to pay for my own towing. They also sent me to a mechanic who had no idea I was coming and did not have time to work on my car for a week. They refused to reimburse me. They said their towing packages only apply to cars. I told them that when I initially bought my AAA Plus membership, I told the person exactly what I was going to do with it, and she never mentioned that trailers were not covered. AAA told me they would not compensate me for refusing to pay trailer towing fees. What they would happily do for me though is give me a $50 credit off my membership for next year. So their solution to this issue is ME giving them another $150 of my money instead of $200 for their worthless towing package. Really nothing out of their pocket to solve the problem! AAA packages are WORTHLESS. I will stick with the towing policy that comes with my regular car insurance. It is only about $35 and also comes with a free rental car if yours is in the shop.

He kept talking over me and would interrupt me when I was trying to explain things. I was very blunt and told him to stop talking over me but yet he continued to do it. his monotone voice with no inflection showed no concern or empathy for anything we were talking about. I was calling to find out why my premium went from $350 a month to $550 a month and he said it's because California insurance companies have been suffering a lot of claims and they need to pass that on to their customers so they are increasing our rates by 25%! When I asked about me adding a car two months ago and isn't that the reason why my premiums went up, he said, theoretically! Theoretically? He FINALLY looked into it and said yes, your premiums went up 13% by adding that vehicle. Makes sense. The 25% he was talking about has not even happened yet, come to find out!!! Took me 10 minutes to finally understand the real story from this clown. When I told him how rude he was being by continuing to talk over me throughout the entire conversation, he just acted like I never said anything and ignored my comments. He just kept talking over me. Probably one of the most unprofessional uncaring monotone bland "customer service" person (child) I've ever talked to. That might be an exaggeration, but he's definitely up there. Glad somebody's getting a 25% raise because it's not your customers! You, poor, poor Company, I really hope you survive! Lol. Stop trying to act like the victim. When every time you your business suffers, you simply increase our rates!!! We are the only ones that suffer, and your collective insurance monopoly is screwing all the little people that you claimed to care about so much.
