I had a car issue in front of their business and two guys ran out to help me! I had a newborn in the car and a toddler and was incredibly overwhelmed and they helped me get my trailer back on the hitch and secure it correctly. These two guys could've ignored my distress but they ran out to me before I can even ask for help from them. My husband stopped by the next day to thank them however they had just closed for the day minutes before so I felt that shouting them out on here was the best way to compliment them. As we house hunt, this place is the only place we're getting our lighting from. From a mama of two small kids with a car emergency, I am so grateful for the compassion these guys showed me. Thank you thank you thank you

However, I wish they actually labeled their products with the manufacturer info especially since not one of their 3 store employees actually came around to help. The low rate is mostly because of this same reason: came to visit on an April 2026 Friday late morning, 2 customers at the store (one at the check out counter and one leaving). I saw three employees but not a single one ever looked up to see who had come in to their store. I was actually browsing the vanity lights section on the back where an older lady sat at her big desk with earphones in and never even acknowledged I was there. I was 8 feet away from her and nothing. I walked out and the three were still at their stations and never even looked up. I will take my business elsewhere.

We hired this company to build a patio, front entrance walkway and redo all my plant beds. The…read moretotal amount was over $20K. We hired them because of all the reviews and, after comparing with other companies we thought it was the contractor to hire. Well, I got to say, they did a good job with the brick patio and walkway. Although less than a year with our having some issues with the slope coming into the house instead of against it. I was extremely clear about that. They also created a fireplace with a semi-circular wall with lights. Well, as for the firepit, they failed to leave areas for the air to come in (which is needed to feed the fire), no protection to the brink inside, really hard to create a nice fire anyway. In the design, we have a sitting wall next to the firepit that we opted to include lights. The transformer and installation cost us an additional $1k. The staff didn't bury the cables properly with protective tubing and just barely buried them about 1 in if not underground - just covered with a lot of mulch. At the moment, we are in the process of hiring another professional to redo this was good but all the cables were not properly buried, didn't use protective tubing - we are now in the process to hire another contractor to redo poorly installed lights which we are expecting to pay around $1K more. So, for the bed plants - they brought soil from (who knows where) and introduced torpedo grass. After bringing this to his attention, he said I already had the problem, not true, because never had this issue for 4 years, it just started to happen after work was done. I asked why he didn't put the industrial-grade landscaping plastic and he felt insulted. I was livid. Because once his staff left the job, it was not completed so it took me quite a few phone calls to reach him. He designed and we trusted his advice on this one - he planted a whole bunch of Sago palms (were about $25+ a piece) - we lost over 10 of those within the first 6 months. They were way too young. He also recommended some ornamental grasses for the front and back of the house, they look absolutely awful once they started to grow and take over everything. Three other landscapers told me afterwards, these type of grasses are great to plant around lakes or ponds and not were they were planted. To fix the problem A&R created, we had to spend another $1500.00 a year later to install - industrial grade plastic, replace over 20 plants (the new landscaper charge me a fraction of the cost for the plants - he even said I was over charge for the type of plants), and re-mulch. 3 months later after work was redone, the bed areas look fabulous and no issues with the torpedo grass taken over the areas. Overall - I will not recommend this company - they maybe good doing brick work, but stay away from his landscaping designs. If he really knew the areas, he would not had recommended all the plants not suited for my gardens. BTW - he promised he was going to be onsite for a specific front design, he never showed up, but, be aware, they are great asking you for the installments during the work.

I dropped my lamp off to be repaired and was told it would take "about a week". On the 8th day I hadn't heard anything so I called the store. Mind you when I dropped the lamp off for a simple wiring repair I was told it would be a little over 100 dollars which I thought was a lot of money, but the lamp had sentimental value so I agreed. There were lamps all over the store and I wasn't given a claim ticket or anything, I just walked out of the store thinking it was a small business and they would just remember me and my lamp without a claim ticket. My father owned a small business and he could remember every person he spoke to. After a week, I'd heard nothing so called the store, and I was asked to describe my lamp. I was caught a bit off guard by that but I described it as brass looking because it is. Now obviously there are a lot of brass colored lamps, and one would think an organized business person would assign claim tickets to items in order to keep track of them. The person I spoke to, I assume is the owner seemed to have no idea who I was or which lamp was mine, he put me on hold. He came back and advised that, after a week, my lamp was not done but that if I would call him by the end of the day he would have it done. I had advised I needed to travel for my job and I wanted this off my plate before I left town. I called later that day and was advised the lamp is done. The next morning I woke up an hour early to drive the 40 minutes to get the lamp. When I walked in, the lamp was sitting in the same place I'd left it 9 days earlier. I pointed at the lamp and said "I'm here to pick this up" and the man said "oh that's your lamp? It's not done. That lamp is more gold colored, you said yours was brass". If this man didn't have his head up his you-know-what, he would have a clue how to run a business. If you call their phone number, he doesn't answer with the name of the business, he just says "hello" and you have to ask if you've reached the lamp repair store. When I got there to pick up my unrepaired lamp, I found him out front smoking a cigarette. Classy. I left with my unrepaired lamp and the man could not have cared less that he wasted my time. So if you want to do business with moronic idiot who won't respect you, your business or your time, go for it.
