Our house sits on an elevated corner lot and is surrounded by an old stone wall (~145 feet long and…read more~5 feet high) which was in serious need of repair. The wall was dirty with missing/loose stones throughout, buckling in certain areas, and the mortar along the entire wall holding the stones wall was failing. The stones/wall appeared to be from the original build (~1920's) and I could see the beauty through the mess, however I needed to find someone who could repair and restore the wall to her original glory. Thankfully I found Michael at Old English Construction. Given the scope of the projected I had several companies come out and quote the project. From the start Michael was upfront and honest in his assessment from the materials required, timeframe, process, and what I could expect when they were done. He provided a competitive quote but beyond the dollars and cents I trusted him in repairing and restoring the wall. Throughout the entire process Michael was onsite every day explaining to me what work had been completed, what still needed to be done, and areas they were focused on. He allowed me to ask any questions I had an answered all my questions daily. He consulted with me on all material choices to make sure I was happy with the look of the end product. The communication was excellent. He and his crew cleaned up at the end of each day and left the property clean which was appreciated by me and the neighbors so they could use the sidewalks while the crew wasn't onsite. Michael and his team completed the job on time and on budget, which given the amount of work they completed was no small feat. I am absolutely thrilled with the finished product; the wall looks better than the day it was built, and Old English Construction truly restored the stone to it's full beauty. I can't recommend Michael and Old English Construction any higher, an honest company and team who go the extra mile to deliver on their promises. Five plus stars from me!
