All workers here are diverse, friendly, informative, safe, empathetic, supportive, nurturing, patient, experienced and licensed. The Orchards Childcare and Preschool is better than I could have imagined a childcare center could…read morebe. I currently have my two children enrolled at the Orchards. I am particularly impressed with how the caregivers and teachers take a genuine interest in the progress and lives of each of the children in their class. Whenever I've had questions, the Orchards Director has been easy to reach and prompt in her responses. The classrooms have been recently renovated and are kept clean. There is a good variety of age appropriate and safe toys in all of the classrooms. Security is well maintained with video monitoring, keypad access to facilities and fenced outdoor play areas. I love the phone application that they use for the secure check in and out procedure, as well as the photo updates throughout the day. Their Junior Kindergarten class is quite robust in its educational curriculum. The lead Junior Kindergarten teacher has been teaching young students for over 20 years, I believe. I'm honestly impressed at the progress my four year old has made behaviorally and educationally. They also have done a great job at offering events throughout the year. Kids Christmas program, picture days, Easter egg hunts, "pumpkin patch" etc. I couldn't recommend the Orchards more.

I love the unique setup with the 1/2 walls and open floor plan. the children often play in a Montessori type style. My children, ages 10 months and 4 years, absolutely thrive at KinderCare. My 4 year old is constantly coming home with new things she has learned, thanks to the caring and attentive teachers. Even my little one, who was initially hesitant to drink his bottle, has been showered with love and attention by the infant staff - and he's now much more comfortable meeting new people. What truly warms my heart is how understanding and accommodating the staff is of our family's beliefs and dietary restrictions. The kitchen staff went above and beyond to ensure that our children are well-fed and cared for, and that means the world to us. I am so grateful for the care and love that KinderCare East Hill has provided for my children. It's a safe and nurturing environment, and I couldn't recommend it more to any parent looking for a wonderful place for their little ones to grow and learn.

The part that isn't readily apparent when you tour this home-based childcare is that there are no caregivers present who speak English for 99% of the day. This may or may not be an issue for you. But, for small children who are just developing their language skills, it is a challenge. Just as important, my child wasn't able to communicate to the providers: my tummy hurts, he hit me, etc. And, I wasn't able to communicate with them during drop off or pick up: she has been emotional this morning, she didn't sleep well last night. But for the communication challenges, we would have stayed here, but it did not work for us.

I know when I drop them off my kids are greeted by teachers who love them, they learn more about the Bible and have weekly Chapel, and have developed wonderful friendships with other kids at school. One of the reasons I also chose this preschool is because my son was 4 and still having trouble potty training, and they have a special classroom devoted to potty training, and within 3 months of joining he was fully potty trained! I am continually thankful that we chose RCS for our family and that our kids are thriving there.

I'm so amazed at how she's able to handle curriculum for different levels and know all the kids by their 1st names. She also noticed that my 2nd son was advanced for his age and, along with a few other 4 year olds, she made advanced lessons just for them. My son loved it cuz he felt more challenged and up till now (he's in 4th grade already) still remembers those lessons he learned from Kany and says those were harder than 2nd grade in public school, but it was more fun! I brought my 3rd child there who just graduated pre school this past spring as well and he loved Kany and all his teachers. Anyways, I only have good things to say about Basic Steps and Kany and I wish her all the best!
