Everyone from the receptionists to the hygienists to Dr. Wright himself are friendly and professional. Going to the dentist is something that almost no one looks forward to. I've been a patient here for almost a year now (just had my 2nd 6-month check-up a few days ago). While as a patient here, I've had a filling done on my first ever cavity and it was very comfortable! Currently, in my dental journey, I have adult braces placed 4 weeks ago by my orthodontist and just had my 2 wisdom teeth removed yesterday by my oral surgeon. It all started with a referral to my oral surgeon and then a referral to my orthodontist! My dental team all communicate with Dr. Gil and they're all fantastic! The receptionist Karen always greets me by name and she sends me a personal email reminder because she remembered I'm better with email than phone calls. She's also super duper sweet. My RDH Melissa always gives me cool shades to wear and is great with my teeth. She's really knowledgeable too and answers all my questions like, "whats the difference between stannous fluoride and sodium fluoride?" or "should I use a whitening toothpaste with my braces?" She's fantastic. Dr. Gil is always a joy to talk to! He is always careful and thorough in his examination. He's quite the dental nerd haha, I always learn something new from him. Thanks to him, I get to finally correct my underbite. I've been waiting for this for several years :)

I broke a tooth and knew I had no choice but to bite the bullet and get it fixed! I asked a friend where I should go and this is where she led me. I had a panic attack before going and did not sleep the night before. Let me tell you that from the moment I opened the door and stepped inside I saw welcoming staff that immediately assured me that I was in good hands. The front desk staff was actually treating me like a person and not just a name on a chart! I was surprised...still terrified but comforted. I met Dr. Parsons and was immediately struck by his relaxed and friendly manner. He immediately put me at ease and was very reassuring and supportive. Nothing like I had ever experienced before! He fixed the broken tooth before I realized it was finished! It was the BEST experience I have ever had! Pain?? What pain?? There was none! I was shocked! Went back in today and the same result! I finally feel like I can handle getting my dental health back on track! I recommend them to a friend, Michelle, who broke her front tooth and is more afraid then I was. She went in two days ago and had Dr. Clark. She called me raving about her happy experience and is actually looking forward to going back next week to get other maintenance started! Unbelievable!! Unfortunately, my own experience didn't live up to that reputation. As a transplant recipient, I called to schedule an appointment and was prepared to pay entirely out of pocket. I was upfront about my health history immediately and shared that I did not believe I would need surgery or drastic intervention but wanted to take preventive steps to take care of some issues that had come up. Then, after giving the office access to my records I was told my case wouldn't be taken on specifically because of my complex medical history. I understand every provider has the right to decide which cases fall within their comfort zone, but it was disheartening to be turned away specifically because of health circumstances that led to needing periodontal care in the first place? I'd have appreciated more transparency about what specifically made my case a concern, being told upfront when I disclosed my health history that Dr. Astolfi does not work with patients who have complex medical conditions, or even a referral to someone equipped to treat patients like myself. Patients navigating complex medical situations are often the ones who most need to find a provider willing to work with them, not around them. I hope this feedback is useful for the practice going forward.
