My son was bullied numerous times, and twice in front of staff. Only a call to parents was their consequences. Last week of school my son's 4th grade teacher LEFT HIM OUTSIDE, after he complained of having a hard time breathing during PE, he has asthma, she knew that and admitted it, and yet: NOTHING WAS DONE. She tried to apologize saying she was "just upset". Thankfully my son is ok, because it would have been bad for her.

The school is a very good mixture of I believe, democrat and Republican families. Being a democratic family ourselves I have never received any mistreatment or harassment. I think it's important to hear that that from another perspective. Students who are not loud DT supporters are automatically labeled as democrats and told that they are "not Christian" and bullied. Bullies (& their families)who commit actual ASSAULT are protected by the leaders- even with police involvement. Maga-ville, USA. 2) Unqualified teaching staff. Many teachers are not credentialed nor have they even graduated from college. They are trained at the affiliated church's "bible college" and allowed to then teach your children! New unqualified teachers (one male specifically) is being harbored at this school despite complaints from parents that he is emotionally abusive to several male students and he also allows the female students to cheat on tests. Big red flag as a mother with a daughter. Ok? This teacher has CK quotes & pictures on his walls. Bible college students live right across the street in the green apartments-right next door to the school. That made me feel Uncomfortable. The church+the bible college+apartments+school= concerning levels of cult-like vibes. 3) Campus- no library, no gym, no green spaces, no cafeteria, no locker rooms. Sketchy stairway. Across from County Jail. Large electrical wires nearby. Underwhelming. 4)Money- be prepared to pay a LOT of $$ constantly. We put down very large non-refundable deposits and then the school Changed their requirements for parent volunteering- with threats of fines for non-compliance. Lunches- we were promised handmade/homemade meals from a school parent but received expensive, mediocre, unhealthy cafeteria food. "Retreat"- you will be charged for a retreat and we were told it would be camping at Forest Home but it was sleeping on the floor in the classroom. Weird & gross. If your kid forgets their P.E. Uniform- you will Be charged $$. Lots of extra charges! Sports, teacher wishlist, fundraisers, etc etc etc. They will nickel & dime you at every juncture. Bottom line- you are better off in public school. You get a better education from credentialed teachers, better campuses/opportunities, there is better accountability for teachers & staff and it's "free". This school is mentally, emotionally, socially and physically unhealthy for kids. This is OUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. I would not recommend attending here- absolutely no.

School has its share of good and bad but my brother enjoyed it and graduated as a student athlete and that's all that matters to me. The other parent was…read moreone of the teachers who worked at the school and made the times I was to pick up my daughter very stressful. I belong to the LGBT community and was being harassed at Noah's Ark because of this. At first I didn't have anything against the school, I knew that it was just me and the other parent not getting along. I talked to the principal and made a formal complaint against this teacher, the other parent. We agreed that it would be in everybody's best interest if the other parent was not present in the classroom when it was my time to pick up my daughter. However, later on in a court hearing, a letter that the principal had written stating "no incidents have been brought to my attention regarding poor exchanges" had been used against me. I quickly contacted the principal and reminded her that I had made a formal complaint not too long back. She had forgotten. I asked for a copy of the complaint I had made for evidence. She told me that the file was private and that I could not receive a copy. I tried diplomatically to resolve a serious problem at Noah's Ark and was told that we could make peace just to be back-stabbed later at a time when it mattered a great deal.

My daughter went to Noah's Ark Preschool for three years. She absolutely loved it! The staff are…read moreawesome and very experienced. My daughter was well socialized and totally prepared for kindergarten by the time she was four and a half. The kids have fun and learn alot there. Lots of great field trips too! And compared to many other preschools in Ojai, Noah's Ark is very affordable and offers scholarships. I am really glad my daughter had the opportunity to go there and she really loves and misses all her old teachers.
