Thankfully they were able to graduate a whole YEAR early!! But this was not with any help from the principal who did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and did not care to verify he proof we had of this situation! He is completely inadequate in his role! Another teacher had an affair with a custodian-apparently on campus, the front of staff is Very Unfriendly, a teacher keeps hair clippings of students on the wall!! Which I'm certain is an OSHA violation and the music department, is headed by an untalented narcissist whom had an affair with a new hire and left their partner of 28yrs!! Simply....this is not a school that reinforces kindness or positive 'real world' morals of ANY type!!

When you stand there afflicted they tell you they have never had this happen. Its clearly false. They say "I know that family so they must be right". Them and theirs can do no wrong. This school should be held accountable but I do not believe they ever will be. Its an absolutely terrible place. If you don't bow down to them no matter what, you will be rode out the door based on lies, rumors, gossip, slander, favoritism. The people they have compassion for are the people they "know" or people with money. They pick on the weak, trust me, they will leave you speechless, unable to stand up for yourself or your kid, and will not use proper context when they create a file. Terrible ungodly place. Fake Christians. Judgmental and dishonest. My son like every kid is not perfect. But he was not discipled or cared for. They always answer my questions and make the students feel welcomed. They have students in the front desk helping, they are awesome! The school is nice and the food provides to the students is great! Plenty of healthy options. We have a youth who is lactose intolerant and with a doctors note they were able to accommodate her dietary needs. Drop off and pick up times are a total zoo, so make sure you have patience.

I remember thinking I was so smart being in honors history. Honors language arts. Algebra 1. Spanish 1. Ooooh I'm sooooo smart. Also, I never understood why kids who sucked up to their teachers here at Monte Vista were called "Smacks." I still don't get it. Oh, and PE. PE was the shit. We played cool things like team handball... and a foot-based volleyball game like sepak takraw... and paddle tennis. We also did a schoolwide cookbook, which was supposed to be a math project because it involved calculating the macronutrients and calorie values per serving, but I feel like no one really did the math except for me... Oh, and we did a music revue of America. Going west. In a covered wagon. Me and Mamie O'Rourke. Fifty nifty United States. Got to got to get us some elbow room. Swing low, sweet chariot, coming for to carry me home. And don't get me started on Renaissance trips to Magic Mountain. We destroyed that place. We're the reason I hate Magic Mountain now. Cornerstone is an amazing school. The principal is dedicated and caring. The teachers care about…read moretheir students' education and it shows through the students. On multiple occasions when around other parents of children they are always impressed how ahead CCS kids are. The school has a preschool and makes the transition to Kindergarten SO much easier which helps children start learning sooner since they don't have as long to get over being in a new environment. Since before school and after school care is onsite it makes it much more comfortable to kids to stay after school if parents need the extra care. During COVID this school was one of the very few that kept kids engaged and didn't let them fall behind. I saw so many other schools have kids that are a year or two back because of COVID, but CCS did an amazing job to continue education and keep things as normal as possible. The principal has introduced so many sports and clubs with the help of staff. The community of parents and teachers has been what I had always hoped to have. I HIGHLY recommend this school.

Most of the teachers love teaching and you can see it in their eyes. My favorite class that I've ever taken was Physiology. I took it in junior year - I'm now a senior - and I went in the class every day wondering what we were going to do next. The teacher really shows his interest in the subject; therefore, he makes the class fun and entertaining. Anyways, I would change the amount of ACs in the classes. The only classes that have them are the portables, and unfortunately, I don't have any classes in the portables. It makes it very hot in the classrooms. Also, there's a major ant problem so beware of the ants!
