Not only that, but our son (~1 1/2) absolutely loves the program. We were initially skeptical that our son would take to it because he was very attached to us--his mom in particular--and would cry whenever she walked out of the room (how is he going to handle being dropped off at school for several hours?). But, the vast majority of the time (including the first day) he is excited to be there. (Special thanks to Coral and Alex!) As a parent, when you leave your kid in the care of others, you want to feel (and know to the best of your ability) that they are in as good if not better care than if they were with you. My wife and I both feel this way about MSO, and for that, I highly recommend this institution.

Both my kids attended Pre-K at Our Redeemer and there's no other…read moreplace I'd rather have them spend 2 early years of their lives.  It was recommended by a friend and when I walked in the large playground area during the tour I said to myself, "Oh yeah, this is IT!" - it instantly gave quintessential sweet preschool vibes, with each of the classrooms opening up to the main play area, colored designated doors, with windows adorned with kid's colorful and imaginative artwork.  The playground boasted lots of varying actvities and manipulatives to attract and stimulate a wide array of interests (wooden logs, sand box, vegetable garden, music area, mud kitchen, tricycle/scooter track, a large play set and more!)  The staff is as kind, gentle, welcoming and understanding as can be - Miss Jackie welcomes everyone from the front office with a smile (it's like she's never had a bad day!) and is the can-do woman who wears many hats, the Director, Peggy Schreiber, is a lovely and caring soul who handles everything with grace and ease, Mrs. Flint is the bright and smiley face upon drop-off and pick-up everyday, who is a breeze to chat with (you can tell she takes genuine interest in our lives). The teachers are all great - my kids had Mrs. Flores who is just a dream in every single way. Mrs Varela and Mrs. Washington were both amazing as well! I can't say enough great things about this preschool (I can't believe there even have one negative review) - They'll always hold a very special place in our hearts.

Sending a first child off to school is of course an anxious moment for any parent and I admit I was no exception. But my anxiety was quickly relieved; the staff, teachers and principal at Lincoln have been tremendously friendly and welcoming. Perhaps my favorite aspect of Lincoln is that it is a relatively small school. Within a short time after starting school, my daughter was known not only to her own teacher, but also to the other teachers on campus and even the principal greets my daughter by name as we arrive in the morning. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and Lincoln is a part of that village. It truly has a cooperative, community feel to it. I find this a refreshing contrast to larger schools where children can get lost in the crowd. Lincoln is also blessed with caring staff, a fantastic principal, and an excellent and hard working PTA. Does the PTA fund raise too frequently? Yeah, probably. I admit it got a bit tiring. But after seeing the benefits of not only ART, but also MUSIC, PE and a full time on-site nurse, I really came to appreciate the "extras" that are provided far beyond basic education. All of these extra programs come about though the tremendous efforts of the PTA. Next year I plan to be more involved in the PTA and hope that by helping out we can make the fund raising more effective and less frequent. In closing, I want to say "thanks" to all of those who clearly pour their heart and soul into the children at Lincoln. It is much appreciated.

Since governments cut education funding, things like the Lap-A-Thon are a great way to promote community-building and get extra money for school programs. Neither the PTA nor the teachers at Lincoln have demanded or even asked me to have my child participate in door-to-door fundraising. The school also places strong focus on art and does not seem to have overbearing attitudes about homework or learning in general. It has a "comfy" and "laid back" feel that kids will enjoy. I've not once had my daughter complain about anything regarding other students or teachers. And the school plays are great!

You can see this in the way that the older students interact with the younger students. They seem to really have gained strong interpersonal skills specifically - emotional intelligence, responsibility, and empathy. The small class sizes and a strong emphasis on higher level thinking within the curriculum are really what makes this school great. We've loved every teacher we've met. There is no place I would rather have my children. I can't recommend it enough.
