At first my problem was finances or the cost of sending my child to A private school. But the school have support system in place. If I can bring back the time I will send all my children to Sta Clara High School Oxnard. Additionally parents, you need to monitor and be vigilant what books the public schools assigned your kids to read. The books about Anti-church, anti faith, Atheism, even Socialism are assigned to high school students. As a. Parent I believe These books are for adults and not for young minds. At SCHS , I was able to request the school teacher not to assign such books. Whereas, at Channel Island HS , they told me those Anti-church, anti- faith books are going to be read and assign to there students (your kids) as they choose. Sad news!

The teachers are invested and kind, the staff seem to be all hands on deck and were very welcoming to our family. I heard lots of opinions about the school before enrolling. some good some bad. it's a staple in the community and several generations of both sides of our families have attended. We are happy here. may just be with age but our child mellowed out and matured here, seems happier than when he was in public.

If you want to waste your money, send your child here. The principal and administrator do not care to address needs of the children and only worried about a paycheck. This school tried to open under nation mandated stay at home orders. The administrator and principal both avoid calls, texts and emails. They are holding out on my sons lesson plans. WHAT A JOKE. My child is now falling behind because of his teachers refusal to respond to me. The teacher/principals exact words to me in regards to teaching my son for the remainder of the school year, "why waste my time if he's not coming back next year?" UPDATE 4/19: My son has now been "removed" from the school due to slow internet connections. His teacher/principal/owner (all one person) will refuse to believe he was kicked out of Zoom due to slow internet speeds and believes he was playing around. He had roughly 6 weeks left of the school year and she refuses to take him back into the school. I just paid tuition for the month so there goes $400. I had to involve an attorney for my son's records since the school is withholding them so I'm unable to enroll him in another school.
