Excellent customer service. Got exactly the pair of dress pants for a very reasonable price. Alterations to fit were done within a week.

This place is a nightmare! Made the mistake of using this place for my son's senior prom. We went…read morein a month early to reserve the tux and pay the deposit and no problem. At that time we were told we would receive a call the week of prom to come in for the final fitting and pick up. That call never came. Our claim ticket said our pick up day was the day before prom. That morning I called and checked to see if I needed an appointment as I was never called. I was told no appointment needed just to drop by and there would be no problem. We went with our son to pick up the tux after school that day. When we arrived there it was cold and raining. There was a line outside the door and around the building. Good thing we had an umbrella. Most people did not. None of us were expecting to be standing outside. We waited out side in the rain for almost two hours before we could even make it into the business. Once inside the place was overcrowded and standing room only. There were only 3 employees total working that evening. One stayed in the back to steam the tux's while the other two were upfront taking money and getting the tux's from the back. The two women up front did nothing but complain about how tired and hungry they were the whole time. They also made a point of telling customers when asked how much longer "If you don't like it you can leave and go somewhere else". We were inside for another 2 hours before it was our turn to pay. Once we paid we then had to wait for another half an hour while the employee was supposed to be getting the tux. She returned with nothing and smiled and asked us had she not already given us the tux. After we informed her no, she finally went and got it. We were then told to move over and get out of the way while we waited to try it on. Good thing we waited too! Others who had tried on their tux's had the wrong tux or it didn't fit or was missing pieces. So we decided not to leave until we knew that we had what we paid for. When my son finally go to try on this tux after waiting another 45 minutes, the pants had one leg longer than the other. I had asked one of the women to come and help us. I told her about the pants and she said there was nothing wrong with them. She told me if it would make me happy she would go and get another pair. I told her it would make me happy. She left. She never brought back another pair of pants. Every time I tried to get her attention to get her to help us she would tell us "in a minute' well another half hour and that minute never came. Finally when the other woman came up front I asked her for her help. I explained the whole situation to her and how long we had been waiting for help. She just stood there staring at me. When she finally went into the dressing room with my son she had some kind of break down and starting screaming and crying. She was saying she had been there since 5 that morning and that she was tired and that she was the owner's ex wife and she was just there for the kids. Then her husband, the owner, came up front to see what all the commotion was about. He asked me what was going on and I told him. She started yelling to him that she wanted us to leave. I informed him that we would leave as soon as we had the tux we had paid for and not one with two different leg lengths. The owner smiled at me and shook his head. As the owner started to walk out a physical fight broke out in the store between two young guys. The owner did his best with the help from customers to break up the fight., All of the customers were tired, angry and hungry, not to mention wet from being out in the rain. So needless to say they were all complaining. The whole thing was a nightmare! I wish we would have used anywhere else! We finally got the tux with new pants and were able to go home after numerous hours of waiting. I will never use this establishment again. I would drive an hour away to Nashville before using this place again. What should have been a memorable experience for our son turned out to be an unforgettable night of horror and rude and unprofessional treatment. While there I heard numerous other customers talking and they felt the same way that we did. I know that this lack of planning on their behalf will cost them customers. I doubt they care though as this business had been open here for years and they knew this would be a busy time of year but did nothing to prepare for it. I did however call their corporate office in Florida. They apologized numerous times to me. They also told me that the owner was military and had just returned back here. They told me that had had numerous complaints about his ex wife and her "acid tongue" as they put it. They said she was not even supposed to have anything to do with the business anymore due to numerous problems with her in the past. So apparently this has been an ongoing problem and the owner just does not care. Go anywhere else at all!

I bought my prom dress from Glitz back in 2009 when it was at the old location, and I have always…read moreknown that I would come back for my bridal gown. I am so happy to see that Ann is still the owner. We made an appointment online, and on the day of our appointment Carol took care of us. I was able to bring 3 of my closest friends with me to my appointment, and there was seating provided for them while they waited to see the gowns. We were directed where to look for gowns my size, and were given so many wonderful options. Overall I tried on 6-7 dresses, and never felt rushed or pressured to make a purchase. The appointment lasts for 90 minutes total. Carol took care of us by listening to comments and observations, and then made suggestions and recommendations to try. I put my full trust in Carol, because thanks to her recommendations I found a dress that made me FEEL like a bride! I was there to try on different silhouettes, and while I did not say yes to the dress (yet), I believe they serve champagne once you purchase a gown. Their prices are very reasonable, and they will ask you for your budget so that they can direct you where to look on the racks and make realistic recommendations. If your budget is $5,000 or less, then this shop has the selection for you! I cannot wait to come back to check out their other options (mother-of-the bride gowns, especially), and take another look through their gorgeous gowns.

I rarely leave reviews like this, but I feel other customers should be aware of my experience…read more I purchased a dress from Glitz Nashville after being directed to the "new" rack and told by stylist that the dress I was trying on was new, while discounted items were kept separately. Based on those representations, I reasonably expected the gown to be free of DAMAGE. During the fitting, I was specifically told not to handle the zipper due to store policy, so I relied on the staff assisting me and did not inspect that area myself. After leaving the store, I discovered a ripped seam near the zipper that was clearly present at the time of sale but was never disclosed. When I returned to address the issue, the manager acknowledged the damage existed before purchase and explained that "it's due to busy prom season." The store apologized for missing the defect and sent me a seamstress recommendation, but REFUSED a full refund despite the dress being sold "new" while already damaged. This was especially disappointing given the $458 price point and the expectation of basic quality control for a formal dress. I purchased the gown for a specific event and ultimately was unable to use it comfortably. Based on my experience, I would CAUTION others to thoroughly inspect dresses before leaving the store or better yet AVOID store-- but if you do risk it removing the gown from the bag at checkout and don't assume that "new" necessarily means free of defects. While the staff was polite, I left feeling misled and disappointed by both the undisclosed damage and the refusal to stand behind the condition of the item sold. They are firm on NO REFUNDS and it's the customers duty to assume gowns could be damaged so inspect it throughly and ask to have it removed from bag before purchasing. I've learned from my mistake and hope this helps others.
