Course was in horrendous shape today (7/11). They should be ashamed of themselves for opening it and charging full rate. Disgusting.

The course is fun and challenging i dont think its worth how expensive it is. The one women that works the pro shop was very snippy at first and after we talked she was fine. The manager that was there was very cool and nice. All in all its a fun course each hole has its own challenges and makes you use your head for what club to use. Course was fun to plan, overpriced and offer no free water. Very disappointed they do not offer veteran discount because it was a Friday before the holiday weekend. Veterans should get discounts 7 days a week. No holiday or weekends in the milatary. read more

Brig is a decent course to get out with your fellow duffers, but it all depends on the weather and time of year. If its greenhead season, and the wind is not right, you will get eaten alive. So you want the wind to keep em' off, but with that the course can get a little challenging. I do agree its a little overpriced for an average course. One thing i haven't experienced (like other posters) is get hassled for my cooler. I'v prob played this course a dozen times through the years and never had a problem with that. Greens are in fantastic shape however the fairways and tee boxes are below average; seems like they use the same tee box locations regularly which is not great course management (no divots in other areas of the tee boxes); green heads are heavy so bring bug spray; par 5's are short - every second shot was less than 180 and in ... played here a lot back in the day but not worth the trip if you are not on the island with the amount of nice courses in the area read more

Played on Labor Day Monday of 2021. It was a disgrace that this course was open and that they were charging holiday rates. It was so clear that all they cared about was making money, not the enjoyment of the golfer. There was so much water on the course and they hadn't cut the grass in weeks. Just off the fairways the rough was calf high. There were huge puddles in the middle of the fairways, there were puddles in the middle of some greens. If you missed the green by 5 feet on approach shots you lost your ball because the grass was so high and there was so much water you couldn't find it or even search for it. It was cart path only but you couldn't get to your ball because there was too much water. The cart paths were nothing but huge puddles. I have played this course 4 or 5 times a year but will never play it again, especially after talking to the ranger and was told that I should be grateful that the course was open. read more

In AC for a bachelor party and this place claims to be the closest one to AC. Staying at Revel it took us about 20 minutes to get there. Unfortunately, they don't have a range but had an OK putting green. The course is surrounded by a neighborhood and has a links like feel. There is a big sign posted that states "Golfers are responsible for damage to homes etc) I asked the starter about this and he said "we were here first, if there is a problem, direct them to the clubhouse" Each cart is equipped with GPS which makes playing a new course a bit easier. The fairways are pretty open, but are of crappy quality. Rough was reasonable and the greens rolled quite true. If you are in town for a party and don't want to drive a far ways, check it out. IT was $85 a person for a Saturday AM tee time. read more

Cost: $70pp on a weekday morning - way too pricey for the quality of this course Nice people, but calling this a links course is like saying you've got binders full of women. "Links" is the land that separates the sea from the farmable area. This course is in the middle of a housing development. Its is very flat, Links courses typically have much more dynamics. The greens were ok, nothing special. The course was fairlly wide open, but overall boring. Nothing pretty about this course, which is half the reason to play golf. If you're going to AC and want to play at a great place, i would much more highly reccommend Mcchullough's. We played 2 rounds for the bachelor party and Mcchulloughs is a true links style course, beautifully laid out and challenging. read more

I recently golfed at The Links at Brigantine Beach (Formerly known as the Brigantine Golf Club) this past weekend. I'm used to Texas golf at this point, so it was a nice change of pace to play a northern course pretty much right on the ocean. Price: 66 bux with cart after 2 pm Clubhouse: Nothing special -- small bar, decent proshop, and an area for eating. Clubhouse was beachouse style considering we were about .5 miles from the Atlantic. Practice Facilities: No range, but a decent putting green which is exactly what you can expect on the course. No bunker for practice though -- they could easily add this since they have the space. Course Itself: Fun layout, definitely a course you'll have to play a couple times to know what to do. Many of the holes have some interesting layouts, with carries over bunkers which you won't know what to hit until you play through a couple times. The yardage markers are either very off (on the long side) or I was just blasting shots that day. I would tend to say if it says 150, it will play 130-135............. Cons: LOTS OF BUGS. get the best type of bug spray you can as the "greenheads" as the locals call them will swarm you. I recommend high DEET content. It may prevent you from having children later in life...... but least you wont be attacked. Pros: Very flat, and is a great course for low scores once you know the layout. there is a lot of out of bounds, but as I said, it shouldn't be an issue once you know the course. Fun place to play, chips roll out a LOT more than usual, so take that into consideration. Value: For the conditions the course was in 66 dollars was fair considering you get GPS too. The fairways and rough could use some work but the green complexes were in great shape as were the bunkers. I liked the fescue around the course as it added a different feel too it. I would really give this course a high rating if it was condensed instead of spread out and didn't have the houses nearby. As they can't do anything about that, I guess I'm being picky and want a true "links" experience. I am docking this course on the bugs and the questionable rough and conditions around the fairways. Verdict: Play here, you won't be let down, but keep the driver in the bag on many of the holes!!!!!!!!!! read more

So, I frequent the AC area regularly, and have been playing The Links for about ten years now, and decided to look up reviews on the course on a whim...these reviews could not be further from the truth! Firstly, course condition: this course, which was under 4 FEET OF WATER, is in better shape than It was prior to Sandy. I do not know what magic they worked, but somehow the greens play even smoother than they did prior to last season. In addition, they had a course architect come out and make recommendations on some changes, and the course plays sooo much more like a links style course now. A lot of the tall brush that obstructed views on a lot of the holes have been removed, AND they fixed a ton of drainage problems (which was a large reason this used to be a nesting ground for insects galore). Second, distance from AC: If you are new to the area, and are a hesitant driver, I could see it taking you 20 minutes from downtown Atlantic City, and I mean Tropicana area. If you are comfortable with what road to take, it is no more than 10-12 minutes from Caesars, and from Harrahs and Borgata it is five minutes! Thirdly, the price. Ok, so it is not the cheapest course on the planet. Weekend rates between memorial and labor day are $85 before 1pm with a cart with GPS. This in comparison to Atlantic City CC which is $150 and then some, AND FURTHER AWAY! So what you save in greens fee, you have to shell out in extra transportation costs to go to EHT. Is the clubhouse stunning, no...but honestly if you are going to check out the clubhouse, then you are not a golfer, but a 19th hole warrior, which let me tell you, they have great happy hour specials and cheap drinks anyway! Bottom line, is The Links the best course on the planet? No, but is it above average, a great test for novice golfers, and FUN? Absolutely. And the fact that you can play golf and be only ten minutes from your hotel room, you should really check it out, best of all worlds! read more

It's the closest course to AC, but that doesn't mean its around the corner. From the boardwalk its prob like 20-25 minutes, from the Borgata it was a breeze, only 10-15 minutes. At $85 pp (including cart) it's not a bargain, and considering the condition, it's over priced. I brought my own, but you can rent clubs; I don't recommend it though, you'd be better off with a couple of tree branches and a tire iron. The links are in a neighborhood, so if you struggle to keep your shots straight, as I do, be prepared for a little trespassing and maybe some B&E to get your balls back. Bottom line, it's a decent course to play with some buddies and throw back some beers if you're for looking something to do outside of a casino. Quick Tip: conceal your coolers well. The douchey ranger might make you put yours back in your car if he spies it in your cart. read more

The pictures show lots of beachfront, but the ad is super deceptive. You don't actually have any ocean views, just views of the backs of beachfront houses. It's an average course, but we were disappointed in the lack of any beach. read more

$85 for a round at a horribly maintained and poorly designed golf course!?! They should pay you $85 to play here. The course maintenance team must think that "links" means "overgrown and weed infested." If you are considering playing here pay the extra few dollars and head to Atlantic City Country Club. This place appears to be in the process of being handed over to the "foot golfers" they should finish the job and stop pretending this is a real golf course. read more

Played the back nine - Was happy to be given the option of playing either the front or back! Granted, it was "offseason" for all intents and purposes [very end of November], and so we also didn't feel rushed in any way. Most of the course is surrounded by private homes [so, watch your slice]. There is a fair share of water and tall grass hazards on the back nine. The gentleman in charge of the pro shop [small, but nice] was quite friendly and welcoming. There is a large eating and bar area, when you walk inside the clubhouse, which is probably rockin' during the regular playing season. At any rate, we definitely look forward to playing "the links" again! read more

My husband and I played on 9/7/17. The area had some moderate rain the day before but the course was pretty much under water which the pro shop did not advise of nor did the course offer a discounted rate which is not in common. We lost balls in the middle of fairways because of the water. It was a really disappointing round. When we finished, we could not complaint to the pro shop because it was closed at 5 PM. I played here in September with some friends. We played a couple courses in the area. I heard bad things after Sandy came through, but they are all wrong. This place is in amazing shape! For less than a year after such a disaster, these guys brought it together. The homes on the course could be a distraction and/or an annoyance, but if you play smart, then you dont need to worry. I wish they had a driving range, the warm up net isnt cutting it. We played after the bug season, so thats good. The entire staff was very helpful and courteous. I spoke with the Head Pro and his assistant for awhile after our round, they were very helpful in recommending other area attractions. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The course itself is surprisingly challenging, and the condition this season is the best I have seen in years. The only problem was the food and beverage end . Pulled pork sandwiches and hot dogs, REALLY? Why did they even sign up to win the bid for the concession if this is what they brought to the table. read more

Some friends and I were in AC for a "golf" weekend and I decided to get started with a round at L.A.B. on a friday afternoon. We went off at around noon and I have to say I was disappointed from the very start. No range and a mediocre putting green. If you absolutely must swing to warm up, there is a pathetic mat and net to hit into, but it looks like it gets very little use. Conditions were awful! Fairways and tee boxes were a total mess; the greens were okay. The bugs at this place were ridiculous. Between the Green head flies and giant mosquitoes I must have lost a pint of blood. Bring a 55 gallon drum of insect repellent, but actually, don't bother because they are completely immune to it. The course is totally surrounded by residences which I found surprising because I don't know how people could live among these killer insects. If you can't keep it in play you will eventually end up arguing with a resident about your ball landing in his soup. So to sum up.....NO! This is not a good golfing experience at any price. With so many options within a short drive of all of the casinos, I would definitly go somewhere else. read more

i've only played here twice in early season (march-april), so i don't know how it is in season. heres the skinny. fairways covered in geese sh*t, absolutely covered. basically every hole is bordered by houses (not a big fan of that but that's just me). the greens are nice and are the best feature of the course, that and it's the closest course to ac. but only by maybe 10-15 mins. And allegedly way back when, the pro's would practice here before heading to the british open. just an average course. and as an aside, many signs saying not to relieve self on course, use the 2 bathrooms on course to be respectful of neighbors. get in them with cart key. what about the walkers who don't have the key??? a stupid thing to complain about, but thats what i do! worth a shot, no doubt. memorable....probably not. read more

Absolutely terrible value here. It isn't the worst course in the world, but it is outrageously overpriced. The conditions were very, very below average, and weather isn't an issue- have had a healthy amount of rain lately and other courses around here are in great shape. The layout was boring, there weren't any water coolers on any holes, and the one thing this course might have a one-up on local courses (GPS) was very inconsistent. And yes the bugs are very bad, and although it is inconvenient and annoying, you really can't expect much else when you sign up to play golf right in the middle of the bay. But after all of this i still probably wouldn't have written a bad review if it weren't for the pro. Guy is a real d***, really no other way to put it. I won't go into all of the details, but whoever hired him should be embarrassed. I have no idea how good he is at other aspects of being a pro, but as far as dealing with customers goes, he's really good at losing business for the course. I certainly won't be back, especially with so many courses in the area that are in way better condition for the same or (much) lower rates. This course isn't worth a dollar over $30, so charging 80+ is just wrong. read more
