The TopGolf in Oceans very much exceeded expectations! My fiancé booked 2 hrs of a private bay for us to celebrate our engagement. It was our first time visiting a TopGolf, whether it be their simulation bays or the full size ones. Our waiter was Brian, and he made the experience special. Out of 3 places that we had reservations for and had marked off special occasion of 'engagement' this place was the only one to acknowledge it. Brian brought out 2 glasses of complimentary champagne for our engagement and congratulated us both. The manager, Marco, also came over and congratulated us as well and talked to us for a little bit about it. We ordered some appetizers to snack on while playing different games in the bay. We had to ask Brian & Marco about the food though because it got to an hour and still nothing. They got it figured out and performed recovery, which went above and beyond what would be expected to me. The simulation bays have a wide assortment of games! You can play a few different types of golf games, from playing actual courses, to the top golf style game. You also have baseball, hockey, soccer, football, and zombie dodgeball. We tried a decent assortment of them and enjoyed them all. At $60/hr for a private bay i say its well worth the money. While it was just 2 of us, you can have up to 8 ppl in a bay. It was pretty open in there, with plenty of seating and a nice bar area. Staff were around to help with questions about the games. What happened to this place? This used to be our go-to spot whenever we stayed at Ocean Casino -- but unfortunately, not anymore. The Happy Hour has changed and it's no longer a bargain. We arrived during what used to be a busy, fun Happy Hour, and the bar was completely empty. Only one other gentleman was sitting at the bar. It was honestly sad to see. This place used to be lively, a great place to meet people and enjoy the atmosphere. Even the bartender was apologizing and mentioned that management doesn't seem to care about the patrons anymore. This venue used to have a happy hour from Sunday to Thursday. It is now only on Sunday and Thursday. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 12:30pm. They have a great happy hour on food and drinks. We sat at the bar with a view of the water. The venue has amazing views. It was so amazing. I didn't even realize that we were there for over 3 hours. When we arrived, we ordered rum punch and shared a guacamole. We also had some happy hour shots, wings, chicken tenders, and fries. There used to be shrimps and fries on the menu. Please bring that menu item back! I was looking forward to ordering that, and I was disappointed that it was no longer on the menu. The bartender Amanda provided amazing service. read more

Went to happy hour and the food and drink were well worth the prices which were very reasonable. Bartenders were very nice and quick and made nice cocktails. Food came out quick and were perfect portions of appetizers. We sat at the bar and had lots of tables around us sitting and looking out at the ocean. Not too loud or packed on a Thursday around 5, could see it getting very crowded a bit later. When we go back to AC we will be going here again because we had a good time and experience. read more

Had made a reservation at Top Golf for dinner during a recent visit to Ocean Resort. As much as I visit Ocean Resort, I had never been eaten at Top Golf. Reservations were easy to make online and were seated immediately after arriving. When you enter, you see the interactive golf suites and a large bar area and plenty of tables. We started with some drinks--unfortunately we had just missed happy hour. I had ordered the Titocolada and my sister got the Moscow mule. The drinks came quickly and were pretty good. For the meal, they had a prime rib special on Thursdays for $29-- my sister and I decided to share that and then ordered some chicken wings. The prime rib was def worth it and you get a very generous helping. It was served with a side of baked potato and steamed veggies. The garlic Parmesan wings were okay. While I was gambling he decided to pop by here for a snack ahead of a brunch reservation. He placed an order at roughly 12:21 for some buffalo chicken tenders. Around 12:30 I give em a ring and let him know that I would be joining him shortly to which he shared perfect timing bc he had placed an order for an appetizer that hopefully would be arriving soon, and within 5 min or so I found him at the bar. Needing to wash my hands and use the restroom I stepped away, around the same time he made an inquiry on the status of the tenders to our waiter/bartender. After I returned, got settled, did some chit chatting, i asked where the food was as our next reservation was coming up within the next 30 min or so. At this point it's now 12:50ish and we're going on 30 min waiting for a basket of buffalo chicken tenders. Melissa or Madison (idr her name, employee ID ending in 993) doesn't really offer any type of recourse when asked again besides idk and she'll have to go back to the kitchen to check. Within the next couple of minutes the tenders come out, a male server shared how he just started his shift etc etc upon us asking about the delay to which we responded understandingly and deferring our concerns to the responsible party-- the kitchen. Given that we've never had to wait over 30 min for a basket of tenders we asked for the manager. The manager comes, explains that the tenders aren't frozen and are freshly made etc etc... asks us if we still want the food and begrudgingly comps the tenders from the bill since he still wanted to eat having not eaten since last night. Given the managers explanation of how they prep and cook the food, I would have expected the tenders to be hot fresh out the fryer and delicious-- instead they were room temperature and underwhelming. On top of that, we couldn't eat immediately because Melissa/Madison hadn't given us any plates and roll ups/cutlery-- when she heard me stating that observation to my bf, she goes "I was gonna give you plates when the food came"... and guess what she did after making those comments? She STILL didn't bring us the plates that were sitting directly across from us-- she just moseyed on tending to other customers and making drinks, this was very intentional and tbh seemed racist bc we're the only black folks you're waiting on and the attention and care was so dismissive vs being proactive and wishing to resolve the issue in a timely manner... it was as if she was sick of us asking where was the food lol. So I go grab some cocktail napkins bc what else are we supposed to use for our hands and such? Eventually my bf asks her again, can we please have some plates to which she responded sarcastically "sure" and placed them on the bar. Her whole demeanor was quite off putting and rude during the ordeal, even though we made it clear our disappointment was with the back of the house and not the front of the house and we weren't nasty and loud with her-- we could've had a "Karen" moment but we didn't bc we don't like to disrespect and berate service workers, and we love leaving great tips. I say that to say, I wasn't satisfied with her handling of our clearly disappointing and ridiculously delayed dining experience and wouldn't have left her a tip for service but HE is nicer than me and threw her a $3 dollar tip for the little $11 dollar bloody marry. All in all, I wouldn't bother returning. I'm only giving this a 2 star since the manager comped the food which was really the only proper next step. read more

I couldn't fathom the idea of virtual golf but to my surprise it was so much fun! I booked a lane for me and my girls for one hour. There were so many virtual games to choose from we actually extended our lane for an additional hour. It's fair to say that I enjoyed my experience more at The Swing Suite than I did at The Top Golf outdoor games. The food was subpar so I suggest going on a night when they offer food specials which I think is Wednesdays Thursdays and Fridays. read more

Took a seat at the bar and the bartender let me know it was going to be a few minutes before he took my order because he was backed up. While I was waiting I looked over the menu and made my selections. For my drink I ordered the Rum punch and a shot of Fire Ball and for my appetizers I went with the spinach dip and mozzarella sticks. They have a pretty vast HH menu with many items to choose from at half price. The mozzarella sticks were fresh crisp and delicious, and the spinach dip was creamy and savory accompanied with crispy tortilla chips. One of my friends told me this place had a seafood broil on Fridays so me and the wife decided to join and try it out. Upon entering the place is clean and sleek looking, very modern with a bit of industrial look. There's "pods" that have some smaller tables that have an interactive big projector screen that you can play multiple types of sports games like golf, hockey, soccer and what not. We decided to skip these activities and go with just drinking and eating, our waitress was very nice and on point with drinks. We all decided to order the seafood broil and that's when everything in the seafood world came crashing down. Starting with the flavorless bowl of hot water they send everything with you get mussels, clams, shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn and 1/2 a lobster. To start we had to get our own sides of old bay because nothing had any flavor, bland boring tasteless nonsense! The clams and mussels were dirty and gritty, the shrimp was ok but you peel from a bowl of hot water, I've never seen that before. The corn was cut into 2 kernel slices and not whole or 1/2, I got 2 small slices of sausage and some waterlogged potatoes. This now brings us to the star of the show, the lobster! The lobster was tasteless and way overcooked, I couldn't cut it with my fork and I could barely get through it with a knife. It was chewy and had the constituency of bubble gum, out of 6 of us not one person ate the lobster. This was the worse seafood I've ever had in my entire life, and being at the shore is a pure embarrassment. It was so bad we complained to the manager and he took the entire bill off for everyone. DO NOT GO HERE FOR SEAFOOD! I had to order fries just so I had something to eat, that being said they had really awesome fries. If you want to go and have some fun then the games will probably do it, but if you want seafood stay away. read more

Had a fun time at Top Golf! Conveniently located in the Ocean Casino, TG is a nice distraction from the usual casino activities. Seating area is comfortable and there is a nice selection of games other than golf (baseball, soccer, football, hockey, zombie dodgeball, carnival games, and more). It would be nice if simulation was more spot on but the accuracy seemed to be a little bit off. Service is great and we ordered the Large pretzel and it was really good. This was my 2nd visit. The first, it was with a larger group, and we actually played the games. This time, my son just really wanted the chicken fingers again, which was fine because i wanted to try the crab fries. The staff was friendly, when greeting and the watress, the same as last. Food was bar type food with a little spin on it, but to have a guaranteed seat with a reservation, plus the views make it worth it. My husband and I were in town and wanted to try this spot out. I made a reservation through the casino website - but they said they were booked for that Saturday. So i booked an hour for us on the next day - Sunday. I thought the casino was less busy than i thought it would be so i said let's swing by and see if anyone cancelled. When i got there i was able to be accommodated for an hour. It was fun! The service was attentive - she continued to check on us the entire time. The venue is showing wear and tear. I reserved a bay with my cousin. We were taken to our bay very quickly and set up to start playing. Service was friendly, we ordered drinks and received them in a fair amount of time. Our biggest issues were not with the service but with everything regarding the entertainment. First of all, it was very very stuffy. We weren't too active in the bay to start off and we both were sweating very quickly. Second our machine constantly malfunctioned in the middle of our play. We decided to try every game there was and most of them the sensor would stop registering after a few minutes. It was worth it just for us to know we'd never do that again anywhere. read more

Whenever I come to Ocean, I go to Top Golf to see Didi at the bar. She's amazing! I don't know if the entire place is regulars EVERY time I go, but the way she interacts with everyone makes you believe they are! Originally we went to get the "happy hour at the bar" where certain things are half price when you order at the bar. Now we just go to hang out and eat and drink the full price stuff, that's how good Didi is! (Although get the cheesesteak at the bar, it's huge, delicious and an amazing price!) It doesn't hurt that during daylight hours you get a wonderful view of the ocean (not the Ocean) and the Steel Pier. At night the ferris wheel is all lit up and is not bad to look at. Lots of TVs to watch the game of your choosing. Also, when the fireworks are outside of Ocean (sometimes they're at the Trop) you can watch them from safely inside with a drink (refilled at perfectly timed intervals by Didi)! Go to Top Golf! The only negative is that it's closed Monday and Tuesday. read more

My wife and I decided that we were going go to various happy hours during the week we were in Atlantic City. We decided to come by for a quick bite to eat and it was definitely worth it. They have a 24/7 happy hour that includes food and drinks, which were both reasonable. They had $3 shots and $6 dollar drinks, which I ended up getting the mule. The bartender we had was friendly and attentive, made sure the glass was filled to the top. The onion rings are a great value at $3 and they were really good, we walked around and doubled back for dinner for the cheesesteak. The only downfall of our visit was the game not registering the ball during our gameplay and the game freezing which caused a loss of time. Spent 2 days in AC with my son at Hard Rock. We walked 5 mins to Top Golf. We tried the one in Arizona 2 months ago so decided to try this one. It was virtual as opposed to actually swinging the balls into the course. However we loved it. My son liked this one more. They had different games such as vampire dodgeball, baseball, soccer and others. Our waitress was Francesca and she was AMAZING. She was very friendly, smiling, and attentive. The place was very clean. I ordered the chicken taquito and my son ordered the bbq quesadilla. Both were good but we voted for the bbq quesadilla. I had the birdie drink and it had a nice kick. The food runner Miguel & the loaded fries are the only reason this place got so many stars. He was such a sweetheart - I wish I had the same experience with my server. We stopped in to grab something small before American Cut. The loaded fries were really good. They could've been a meal by it self. We also ordered chicken sliders w the slaw on the side. The sliders were dry & unseasoned. They could've at least put more bbq sauce on the sliders. When We walked in no one was by the front so we wandered towards the bar. There was a manager fixing chairs & talking to a server & a bartender. The manager had her back to me & it was loud, but the server & bartender watched us approach & decided not to acknowledge us as I said excuse me. Fine. I walked over to two female servers who were very polite & informed us that all of the bays were booked for the night & that we could grab a seat. The food menu was better than I expected, we orderd the popcorn shrimp, sliders and dumplings however, I ordered a KiKi Cosmo and it did not measure up to a quality cosmopolitan it was half full and truly I did not taste any alcohol either. For a friday night not too many customers so I don't know why the bartenders were just standing around we waited a while before one came up to ask for our order. Ambiance was just okay.
