Dr. Steven Mennona is literally the most pompous doctor I have ever met. I was supposed to have knee replacement surgery. I was literally on the table when he noticed an infection in my groin area. When I questioned him, he threw up his hands and said "surgery is off!" and left the room. I went to see my dermatologist 2 days later. She rolled her eyes & said he should know better! I went to see him 3 times following that non-surgery. Not once did he tell me he wouldn't do the surgery ever! He also never looked at the infection until I called him on that! He also accused me of bullying him into doing the surgery. I laughed! I'm only 5'2 with a tiny size 6 shoe. His surgical report at the hospital stated he would do the surgery once the infection cleared. After 3 appointments of his bull s***, I left his office. He has that air about him and a quirky smirk that says " he thinks he's the greatest doctor EVER" He's not. He's just an asshole. I only went to this practice one time. Brielle Ortho had a great reputation so I was recommended and made an appointment. I won't be going back. I'm not even going to complain about the wait time (over an hour)! I never got to see the dr. that I had the appointment with... the PA gave me the knee injection... but when I received the bill it was payable to the doctor's name. My husband called to make an appointment tonight and when he was explaining what he needed the woman on the phone hung up not once but twice. She didn't take the time to listen to his needs. First it was Brielle ortho and most mds were excellent, started to go downhill as Rothman. Now combined with Ortho NJ the visit with Dr, Natchez was 3 mins, if that and remain with same issue. Received a bill for 368.00, was told this was for an established patient, couldn't imagine if you're unestablished. Should have learned after horrible experience with Dr. Rodricks. went to the ER February 2022 diagnosed with rotator cuff tear Hospital recommended MRI. I came here and was refused an MRI he said it was not rotator cuff tear. They apologized, Second appointment went as it should. I was told by doctor Sargent i will need gel injections next time, when the pain returns. Nearly impossible to get through in a phone call with this medical practice. The automated voice response unit is incredibly detailed yet something as simple as ordering a prescription refill is not one of the options. To add insult to injury the automated response says for all other calls hit zero, when you hit zero it says that's an invalid option. Really? Elizabeth Conway is my physical therapist, although I am more inclined to refer to her as a miracle worker. I have never had a great experience with physical therapy until meeting her. The entire team on the first floor physical therapy department (the therapists and the support staff) is extremely supportive and tactful, which expertly mitigates the shame, embarrassment, and unease that comes with needing a prescription for physical therapy to begin with. Elizabeth Conway is exceptionally consistent in her methods, and is always amicable to detailed explanations when questions arise. It is nice to finally meet a medical professional who clearly enjoys their craft. I am humbled by my experience here. I walked in skeptical, hoping that I would receive some effective physical rehabilitation. My very first visit, I walked in and almost walked out, staff has no idea how to treat anyone, nevermind me. Co Pays are more important than seeing a patient, you could be in dire need of medical help and if you can not pay, they smack you with an additional 20 dollar service fee. I just changed doctors and will move on, but...will always remember how awful they are and always suggest a different place to anyone in need of help. I was referred to Brielle Orthopedics from Ocean Medical Center, for a metacarpal fracture. Dr. Brian Katt, is the surgeon who specializes in hands. The staff at Brielle Orthopedics are pleasant and helpful. The initial office visit, surgery, and follow-ups were in a timely manner. Dr. Brian Katt is an an amazing surgeon. I felt VERY confident with his knowledge, and his compassion for my situation was heartfelt. "THUMBS DOWN" DR MACASIUM Had carpal tunnel surgery in both hands from a bicycle accident as well as cell phone computer use etc. I am actually using voice recognition right now because I like to limit the use of my right hand so forgive my grammar doctor mcassium is a great guy the place is very nice but the results were horrible I went from having numb fingers on my right hand specifically my middle finger and ended up with a problem with my index finger and now my THUMB I had no issues with my index finger prior to this situation I cannot grab onto anything and pull it which is a big problem because I am a gym rat further more and more importantly I limit the use of my right hand at work it if I ever have to actually hand write something it is a chore the bottom line is this I had my left hand done at seaview orthopedic doctor mcbaide and had no issues my hand is completely recovered and I regret the fact that I did you see him in the 1st place I highly recommend seaview orthopedic over brielle orthopedic because this is just so wrong I can't go back and have another surgery now I will have to pay for it because it is a new year with my insurance company and obviously it is my dominant hand and it is a major issue I literally have to grab things with my pinky and ring finger Can you imagine picking up a suitcase with you pinky and ring finger with little to no assistance from your other fingers 732-522-0425 Bill DeMato Sr read more

Once we found out the issue which was a small mass in the center of my calf muscle we were able to discuss and find the appropriate doctor and measures to take. We've literally been leaving messages for 2 weeks now with the medical assistant and can't get a call back from the doctor. Feel we have no option but to move on. I have been a patient of Brielle Orthopedics for years. Last year, on Memorial day weekend, I injured my knee: damaged the cartilage in the weight bearing portion of my knee. I was being treated by Dr. Law. We tried treating with medicine and physical therapy, but I was not getting any better. Ultimately, Dr. Law said a knee scope was the only option. I had surgery on July 11, 2018; a Pick Microfracture Chondroplasty. I was non weight-bearing and on crutches for 6 weeks. I weaned off crutches and then to a cane, and finally came off the cane in November. I never stopped feeling pain. Every post-op visit, I told Dr. Law I didnt feel as if I was getting better and wasn't sure the surgery worked. He was very dismissive of my claims and kept saying it was a picture perfect surgery and he couldn't have asked for it to go better. His bedside manner is in serious need of improvement. The only times he appeared to be kind were when my husband was present for the visits. But, I was willing to see past that so long as he could fix my knee. Although he initially told me he would discharge me at 6 months, he actually discharged me at 4 and a half months. Confused with the discharge since I was still in pain, I questioned this and he told me if I wanted my knee to feel better, I should lose weight to take pressure off the knee. While I could stand to lose a few pounds, maybe 10 or so, my weight certainly is not the issue. I should also mention I did 6 months of physical therapy post-surgery, 3 times a week. The pain has worsened over time and now, I cannot take one step without feeling significant pain. I asked to see a different Dr. at Brielle Orthopedics, but the office told me in order to do so, I would have to explain to Dr. Law why I dont want to see him and then get his permission to see another Dr. in the practice (no thanks). They would rather lose a patient than let me see someone else. When I requested my medical records and told them I was going elsewhere, they didnt care or even ask why. After seeing another orthopedic and getting an updated MRI, we have learned that what I suspected all along was correct: the surgery was a complete and total failure, and my knee is in much worse shape than before surgery. I have wasted a year following Dr. Law's advice, enduring pain and spending quite a bit of money....for nothing. Now, I am looking at the possibility of joint replacement surgery, if gel injections do not resolve the pain. I will never return to Brielle Orthopedics...and neither will my family. read more
