He permanently damaged my leg during a simple knee replacement. Go to another doctor.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Don't let the over-the-top friendly personality fool you. He made several mistakes during my knew replacement surgery which left me permanently paralyzed in 1 leg and in a wheelchair. I am only 58 years old. After getting the courage to see another orthopedic, I now have to have the knee totally redone because he put the orthidic in wrong. Honestly the worst experience I have ever had at a doctors office in my life. His staff are rude and disgusting to deal with. When I asked to speak to the doctor to complain I was put in touch with the office manager who yelled at me and then hung up. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

I saw Dr. Seckler and am completely satisfied with the care he provided. I would reccomend anyone who needs to see an ortho to go here!

Dr. Seckler is the worst dr that I have ever seen. He is rude, and most importantly not knowledgeable about anything besides basic injury. He will NOT admit that he doesn't know what to do with you. He will pretend to know, perform surgery & then give you post op instructions for a torn meniscus even if that isn't what you had. He is so clueless that the post op instructions can be so off from what you should do that they set back your recovery. He doesn't like to answer questions, and will not even do research to treat you. He will guess & be wrong. Then he will blame you for complaining of post op issues, even though you followed his instructions. The only way I discovered all of the mistakes he made was by seeing an actual specialist. Dr. Seckler did everything wrong. All with a condescending, rude approach. Oh and don't bring anyone with you to your appointment bc he will mock you and make you feel stupid for wanting someone to come to hear a complicated diagnosis. In my opinion Dr. Seckler is a misogynist with a huge ego. He doesn't have the skill to support that ego. read more

Today I found Sr Seckler to be very unprofessional. After seeing him 3 years ago for knee replacement and him saying he is moving to different hospital and it could be a while I saw a different doctor that did the surgery in October. I called his office to see if everything was in order yet and the new hospital and it wasn't. A month after surgery he called to set up surgery. Told him couldn't wait I was in agony. Today I called for an appointment on my other knee and he refused to see me. I guess in his eyes money is what matters. 3 years ago his fault and today he shouldn't be called a doctor. The office staff is very rude. I had never gotten an MRI and instead of exposing to me how to go through the process insurance wise they yelled at and belittled me, their supposed to be in the health CARE field and work at the CUSTOMER SERVICE desk so I don't understand why they treat people the way they do. When i called to ask a question about the MRI the women on the phone told me all the info I need is on the paper they gave me, I never received a paper so I told her that. Her reaction was of a two year old and tried to argue back and forth with me about this paper I should have received, my response was either way paper or no paper you should do your job of customer service and answer the question. After this encounter i made the appointment to come collect all my papers and the MRI disc to take to another doctor, when I got there they gave me a paper for Work saying I was there (I did not request this) when I told them I was there for all of my documentation like I requested on the phone they made me wait an hour, when they finally gave it to me it wasn't everything, when I told them I need the rest I waited another half hour. I can't believe an office is run with such a hostile office staff. read more

I injured myself by hyper extending my knee, resulting in terrible pain. I initially went to Brielle Orthopedic. The doctor x ray'ed my knee and said he would not order an mri because even if I tore something, he would not fix it, just would do a knee replacement, which terrified me. After months of going to pain mgt, there was no relief. Went to Dr. Seckler and got an mri , to discover my meniscus was blown out of my knee joint. As I am 62, the other ortho dismissed me immediately and wanted joint replacement. Dr. Seckler felt I was a fit , active "young" 62, and a good candidate for meniscus laparoscopic surgery, so we went for it. He not only fixed the tear, he discovered while in with a scope, there was no need for joint replacement! I would have undergone an unwarrented and major surgery.Dr. Seckler looked outside the box, and was so awesome and compassionate, I highly recommend him!!! read more

Dr. seckler and staff was so nice to my 80 year old dad, he spent time with him and explained everything. He is a very nice Doctor!

I truly had no problems with Dr. Seckler, he just told me what I basically had been told by PCP. He recommended an MRI for the area. When I got to the front desk after seeing him, the office manager got an attitude because I did not want to go to Open MRI -Wall, but to JS-UR-Neptune, her response to me was we don't deal with them, we'd rather use Open. I said very nicely my insurance would rather me go to JS-UR. then there is no out of pocket for me. She told another girl there well your going to have to print her out this form and make sure she gets the disc, then spoke to me like I was a child telling me to wait till I get the authorization from them and it takes a while, BS. I waited about a week then called my insurance carrier and pre certed myself. I called the office back with the info and told them to call ins to give them the dr's notes. Meanwhile unknown to me, the ins computer popped me out, saying I had no insurance for the past three months. I get MRI, call for follow up and the day before I go the office calls me to tell me to bring my checkbook so I could pay them for both visits because I have no insurance and knew it when I was there. I said, your wrong, I have ins, they have been cashing my checks all along and sending me bills every month, never cancelled me and they just approved the MRI. She told me I was wrong and I knew it. Long story short, I call ins, they apologized it was a computer error, they called this office twice on my behalf to let the staff know the claim was being resubmitted at my request, and to tell Dr. Seckler how obnoxious some of his staff is. I feel after all this, the Dr. himself should have called me, if for no other reason to apologize for this horrible treatment. Still in pain. Have a torn tendon and cyst on my humeral and tendinopathy and something else I do not understand. After going through my plan and researching the doctors in it (yet again) I have an appointment with a new Doctor in a week. So for me, Dr. Seckler seemed very nice, knowledgeable, however the office manager and who ever called me a deadbeat, well ladies, Karma is a bitch. read more
