It's OK. Just alright for a night to sleep. Nothing fancy, does have a swimming pool, that is clean. And close to Wako beach :)

Loved being able to walk to the cute shops, galleries, breweries and more. It was really cold (being February and all) but we would have LOVED walking to Weko Beach. Next time! You CAN hear full conversations from adjacent units, so don't expect privacy. Such a sad mistake for such a beautiful unit. Additionally they advertise their units on Airbnb but then they don't respond to you via Airbnb. We requested something via the app and never heard back - guess they didn't want to say "no" to our request or grant our request. Seems like the host is conflict avoidant, which contradicts being in a customer service roll. Ignoring customers isn't an appropriate way to help them, or decline them. One more thought about this unit being an Airbnb: I have NEVER stayed in an Airbnb unit that wasn't stocked with at least some cooking oil. This place didn't have anything like that. Overall the units are impeccably clean & nicely done - except as mentioned above. For Bridgman this is a beautiful place and I am glad this turn of the building happened, to bring in tourists - but I hope their somewhat poor hosting of this place doesn't turn off enough people to leave them lacking for guests.

There are 5 cabins sitting in a cauldesac, great for a family reunion, or group getaway. Each has a kitchenette (fridge, microwave, coffee pot, sink. The Acorn cabin had a 3/4 size fridge but the smaller cabins like Driftwood had a mini fridge. The cabins seemed to be maybe on the newer side, very well craftsmanship of the cabin itself- true log cabin! Even the upstairs wasn't squeaky and felt very sturdy! Each front porch was adorable and good to gather at night and each had a fire pit outside. Note: the Driftwood and The Hideout really are only meant for two adults and 2 kids. The "loft" is climbing a folding up ladder (very sturdy and solid, but somewhat like climbing into an attic) where you crawl into a loft that has space only for 2 mattresses on the floor. Kids would enjoy it (but maybe be scared to coming down), but very small if another adult wanted to use it. Also note the bathroom is in the bedroom for these 2 cabins. A few improvements could have been made to the interiors. All the furniture and decor seemed to be very old. While still functional, they just looked, smelled, and felt like they'd been used for a very very long time. A bit unusual since it did seem like the cabins were newer! The other thing to know is these are not back of the woods. You are right of the main Street and can hear cars go by. If you want seclusion and peace these may not be for you. If you want a place to grab your friends and get together for a weekend then it's perfect!

They are close but you have some room. There is a toaster and a microwave and mini fridge. I forgot to ask and there was no self service to buy wood but there are fire pits. Firefly seems to have the best set up fire pit location. On air bnb it said Firefly but there is an identical cabin next door that is called Pine and we stayed there. Coffee pot and filters, hand& dish soap, trash bags, TP and plenty of towels.I had my own Scott towels and coffee. There is some road noise at night not bad,in the morning (a Friday) it was super busy at 6 am. Overall I would stay here again last minute like we did. Nice if you are visiting the dunes sightseeing and beats a crappy hotel by alot!

Harbor Country Cabins are for those who want to camp, but don't want to do any of the work or sleep in a tent. There are all the perks of camping: serene wooded setting, grills and patio with furniture to dine al fresco, and a bonfire pit (we didn't even have to build the fire.) Then there were added bonuses: screened in porch complete with mason jar lighting and fan, koi pond with lily pads and bull frogs to ease you into sleep, your own clean modern bathroom with plush towels and nice showers, a kitchen with any utensils you may need. This place is seriously unreal with quaint, calm vibes. I left feeling incredibly refreshed, and immediately wanting to book another stay. Dogs are welcome here, and mine seemed right at home. She quickly figured out how to let herself out of the screened porch, and was happy to explore the cabin. Also it's within a 15 minute drive from the Grand Mere State Park with a dog friendly beach. This place is excellent for groups, since the price is very reasonable if you have 4-6 people stay in a cabin. I recommend Harbor Country Cabins to anyone looking for a short summer respite.

I highly recommend this place for those thinking about a family reunion, bachelor party get away, or any other big gathering of approximately 30 people. my wife recently got married. before the wedding ceremony we decided to bring both our large families together for 2 night 3 days at HCC. We worried about a number of things, but it turned out to be a fantastic family gathering. It easily accommodated about 30 of us. My parents brought there fifth wheel, and parked in the drive way. there was plenty of parking. For fun we cooked together (there is a grill, microwave) talked around the fire and we went across the street to the park and played a bunch of games. HCC has a lot of games available for guest already there. the beds were great. it's my kind of glamping - Glamorous camping. my wife and i were worried about the street and traffic noise and danger, but it didn't prove to be a problem. and lastly, Nicollete who runs the HCC, is ridiculously helpful and kind.

We were pleasantly surprised at how modern the room was. Everything felt brand new and was decorated so wonderfully. The couple that owns the Inn are very kind and helpful. After check-in, we didn't even see them unless we went downstairs specifically to talk to them. What I loved was that each room has it's own private entrance and balcony. The coffee/wet bar was great. When we checked in, we found a bottle of wine, brie and crackers in our room. Every morning we had wonderful scones waiting by our door. They provide both regular and decaf coffee, espresso and an assortment of teas. I loved going in their backyard and watching the koi. They have a jar of food you can toss in. Watch out though. That pond is a breeding ground for swarms of maneating mosquitos!!! We're thinking of going back each year on our anniversary we enjoyed our stay so much!

Also, the locks from the dining room to the outside don't work/lock. We stayed here with grandparents, parents and seven kids. I repeatedly requested proof via email and phone calls. No response! The only time they responded they threatened me with a lawyer. Be sure to take pictures before and after your stay, maybe even shutdown the credit card promptly to prevent further charges. The company provided a detailed manual of instructions, attractions, and notes (Wi-Fi, lock box) prior to check-in. We were also surprised with some sweet treats and a bottle of wine upon arrival. The Black House on Beech is a small stunner called The Starling. Perhaps The Startling might be more apropos because it is a 2-story 3BR, 2BA house on a small footprint painted a pure matte black. Inside is modern and simple, decorated in black and white. They've considered every comfort -- there's a sauna, a hot tub, fire pit and hammock-- outside. This is a fine getaway for a small group or family. We only had a small mixup with the Wi-Fi but they were very responsive and this was cleared up right away.
