When we moved from Newark to Bridgewater, I was dreading having to drive longer distances to go shopping. Fortunately, Bridgewater has an awesome mall right in town, and it has everything I need: a movie theatre, a food court, a Gamestop to satisfy my gaming addiction, an Express when I need a new wardrobe, and an Apple Store for when my gadgets kick the bucket. Just outside the mall is a Chipotle and a Best Buy in case you are a true American, and need a massive burrito or an even more massive electronics store. read more

This is my second time visiting this location and I'm not happy. The food is a solid 2 nothing impressive, nothing extraordinary. The server was ok, not impressed when we asked to change the order he said it wasn't possible. After encouraging him to work his magic he miraculously was able to do so. Then he proceeded to go outside for a cigarette break and when he delivered the food he reeled of smoke. My biggest complaint Was the flies inside the restaurant. This was also the case the first visit and was highly annoyed the flies were still part of the atmosphere. Will not be returning read more

Living in NYC has its perks. But it also comes with some misery. One being the lack of good malls. Even though NYC is known for some good shopping, I like having a mall that has a little bit of everything so that I don't need to take the cab or subway to 10 different locations in a day. That is when I go to NJ and thanks to all your Yelpers, I came here with the family. I didn't want anything fancy like Short Hills and nothing like an outlet. This was perfect. All the stores are nicely organized and very clean. It wasn't even crowded on a Saturday afternoon. No annoying people like the Queens Mall in NYC. And the food court was actually clean, I mean no food mess or stuff on the tables. Maybe I expect less coming from NYC, but I really loved this mall. And the best thing about NJ shopping (besides the low tax) is that they have better choice is clothing. I feel like the Macy's in NJ and anywhere outside of NYC, has a much better selection of clothing and is not trashy or old looking. I will be returning to this mall in the near future and shop til I drop! read more

Love coming here and feel like I am somewhere in SoCal. It's a mix of indoor and outdoor shops. For some reason, it is never super crowded which I like. Also, when you are hungry after all the trying on clothes etc, there are plenty of dining options such as maggiano, cheesecake factory and chipotle. Parking is always a breeze as well. read more

I try to stay away from malls in general because I don't like paying so much for material things. However, this mall has three floors and almost every shop I would ever need. They just renovated the food court (which took FOREVER) and there seems to be a nice selection available. Although, I have to admit that I am pretty peeved that the Cinnabon stand disappeared. Grrrr! Now I have to drive to Livingston for my Cinnabon fix. I see a few comparisons to Short Hills mall here and I don't understand that at all. Just because they are both malls doesn't mean anything. Short Hills is utterly pretentious and absurdly expensive. I'd go to Bridgewater Commons over Short Hills any day of the week. And as long as the scads of children in the malls are disturbing the peace, their presence doesn't bother me at all. Better they're at the mall than on the street doing God knows what. read more

The greeter made me listen to a 7 minute spiel about the deal of the day, which I couldn't find. Eventually, a curt employee exasperatedly pointed me to a bin of 5 white, XS shirts which were "what they had left," then pushed passed me in a grand exit. After that I moved onto jeans where myself, 3 unrelated customers, 2 employees, and 1 manager tried to make sense of the signage. The final verdict was that they were "working on making things less confusing." When I went to pay I was asked if I'd found everything I needed. I itemized all of my issues and was told that the manager would be alerted. Then my purchase was crumbled into a ball instead of folded before being placed in the bag. It was like shopping in an alternate universe. Because that heattech is super cozy I will shop online from now on to save myself the aggravation. read more

I have been to many malls throughout NJ, NYC and even Boston and I can honestly say although some stores in this mall have great customer service such as Macys or Sephora, the majority of the stores have poor customer service. People do not properly great you or ask for assistance (unlike the proper customer service of Short Hills Mall for instance). I have gone to this mall MANY times and its always the same thing. Actually, I was in Bloomigdales on one occasion and the woman walked past me probably like 5 or 6 times and it was NOT until my sister and I said something about here poor manners that she said something. I would rather drive further up North and burn gas and spend more money and get better customer service than to get lackluster subpar service here. read more

Great mall, newly renovated, a lot of good stores and a good food court. The parking situation can be a little tricky. Lots of places to eat outside food court. It is no Short Hills mall, but considering the level of stores down 22 and 287 and 28, not only is this a great option, but also a wonderful option. read more

This review is about my experience with leasing a cart at Bridgewater Mall. The result of the experience was that I made no sales, was out of a couple of thousand dollars in lease money, wasted a lot of personal time (and an additional thousand dollars spent on merchandise, labor and set up) both preparing for the venture and running the cart. I feel that all of this could've been avoided if the mall cart lease management had provided an adequate information regarding their experience with mall cart products and customers. I feel that I was not provided that adequate information. I also feel that given that there were a number of vacant carts at the mall, the Bridgewater Mall leasing office really needed vendors, and I was just viewed as a "quick buck" kind of vendor, without consideration for whether or not my product concept was actually going to succeed and whether or not my time and money were going to be wasted. It felt that during our in-person and over-the-phone interactions, the Bridgewater Mall leasing office representatives tried to talk me into a longer lease, telling me how it takes months to build a mall clientele, let people know about your brand, etc. Also, the mall management office tried to avoid giving me the sales numbers for other vendors in novelty category, once they did, it turned out (once I asked for clarification) that the number they gave me was including Christmas months (highest sales volume months) and thus did not reflect accurate sales volume for "average" months (like the time period I was leasing). My product was not a typical mall cart concept. It was not cheap cell phone accessories, sunglasses/scarves or demonstration products or similar proven mall cart concepts. Mine was a quality handmade BRANDED product. Very soon into my lease, I knew it was not working out due to the fact that it just doesn't seem that the mall customer sees a mall cart as a source of brand, handmade quality, etc. Some customers would ask if I could sell a $55 item for $20, their comments made it clear that the price points for non-demonstration products (the types of products that require an aggressive selling technique where sales people stop all passer by and try to get them check out the demonstration) in mall cart concept should be really $20 or less. Bridgewater Mall leasing agents never told me anything like that BEFORE I signed the lease. Quite the opposite, upon reviewing my product line BEFORE signing, the leasing agent told me that it looked great. She told me that people at that mall care about brands and she feels I'd do well with the customer there. And, again, that it takes time build clientele. In practice, of course it was not so much about building a clientele (a.k.a paying thousands of dollars for a longer term lease), it's about the simple fact that it seems that a mall cart can only accept a proven mall cart concept, and the product has to be cheap, and it seems that the customer is not going to view a cart as a source of BRAND. When I asked the leasing agents for lease termination, they swiftly told me if I don't pay the full amount (it so happened that they didn't charge me the full amount upfront), they would be REPORTING me to the collection agency. When I asked why would they do it, it's not like I've used up my lease and now want a refund , they told me it's because I had signed the lease, plus they could've rented my cart out to other vendors. When I pointed out the fact that it was not true because just on my half of the mall level there were three more VACANT carts with two of them being in BETTER locations than mine, - they went back to telling me they would report me to the collection agency, plus that I should give it more time, that I can't possibly be able to tell if the concept works or not in such a short time period. When I got on the final phone call with Bridgewater Mall leasing agent whom I was in touch with initially, all her pre-lease nice-ness went away and she impatiently told me they would be reporting me to the collection agency if I don't pay in full. When I tried to literally say another word, she told me she was hanging up and she hung up! While there, I also learned that another vendor with similar novelty brand type of product who was doing really really poorly with his mall cart sales-wise, had been told the same thing about his product pre-lease (great fit, etc., etc.). But this vendor signed a much longer lease that put him out of many thousands of dollars. He also told me that when he asked the leasing office for a one month refund on the unused portion of the lease (after Bridgewater mall had earned thousands of dollars on him from the other months) he was told NO. read more

Huge - 3 floors - Many stores - Food court has an elaborate selection of foods and free samples which makes me super happy. The Thai Kitchen located on the right side of the food court if you're facing the windows & tables has extremely rude employees that made fun of me and my boyfriend in front of my face and cackled at us. Granted, they were speaking another language (which is fine) but making fun of someone is a universal language judging by your physical motions, tones, and facial expressions. We are super polite people and did nothing to deserve being treated like that. Learn some respect before you apply for a job dealing with the general public. Since I could not find their business on yelp, I will post it here. Should've never paid for my meal that night. Just saying. Otherwise, every store and food place is great here. If they built an H&M i would love this place more than I already do! :) read more

This is my childhood mall. It has been infected with the modernizing curse. They tried to make everything look fresh and new in the mall and Instead every look white and the same. I must admit i do love the AMC dine in and the food court. They also have a California pizza kitchen(have the pizza it's so good!) and a cheese cake factory which everyone loves. As for stores I am not statisfied. Most of the stores are for older refined woman. All the stores like wet seal and Claire's are going out of business or have gone out of business already! read more

I should have known better than to try and come here the day before mothers day. Parking was horrendous. The place smelled like someone left a whole truck of sardines open to rot. The store set up was alright. Nothing to truly brag about. Then again jersey has a load of malls so i will stumble upon some place a little bit better read more

I don't know whats with the reviews saying it's average and mediocre. It's way past that. The reviews seem old so I'll update you on how the mall is laid out. It has a three story parking garage, leading to the front door. When you go through there you end up in the main hallway which has the recently updated movie theater which is amazing. It has a dine in experience so you press a button and someone comes to take you're snack/drink/dinner order. There's a large selection and free refills. Once you pass the theater you're on the 3rd floor. There's a food court to the left and a ton of stores on all three floors. If you can't find something you like you can go to the village(which is a collection of stores owned by the mall down the road. read more

I have been a very loyal customer of this mall for well over 10-years, since moving to the area. That said, Bridgewater Commons being open during an official State of Emergency putting the lives of the employees who work there and encouraging THEIR CUSTOMERS to drive into harm's way, when every news and radio station in the try-state area is urging people to STAY OFF THE ROADS is criminal! They may have a retail loophole in the State of Emergency code, but there is zero excuse for BAD HUMANITARIAN DECISIONS and GREED! SHAME ON BRIDGEWATER COMMONS. As a customer, I will not forget your total disregard for safety and lust for cash trumping public safety. Of course, posting anything negative on their Facebook site is deleted. How do you walk into a mall and not a a directory? (Pottery barn William Sonoma entrance)

My one complaint is the movie theatre, my teenage daughter was able to see movies nearby but once they introduced the alcholic bar and serving meals kids were pushed out, and I certainly don't plan on taking my family to dinner at the local movie theatre. read more

This is one of my favorite NJ malls. It's newish, clean and is upscale, but not too upscale (i.e., you don't have to be "the 1%" to shop here). The anchors are Lord & Taylor, Bloomingdale's and Macy's, and the stores in the mall cover the same range of price points. There is also a Microsoft store (which oddly enough just had various manufacturers' computers for sale), an Apple store, a Starbucks, etc. Outside, and oddly a bit of a trek from the main mall, there is a lifestyle center with a Brooks Bros., Maggiano's and other stores. read more

It's a nice mall, much lighter and brighter than other malls in north Jersey. There is a review by a 'very loyal customer' who feels so important that he writes 1-star reviews for any business that doesn't meet his high, personal standards. Please disregard the opinions of those who are clearly narcissistic and self-important. He always declares his loyalty then bashes the business with his profound opinion. He should read his reviews all at once to get a picture of how shallow and sheer he is. Either work on improving yourself or recognize your grandiosity issues. read more

I'm not a mall person, and I definitely don't enjoy shopping for clothes. However, this mall is a pretty nice place to eat, especially since the Japanese restaurant is really good. The Auntie Annes pretzels make the trip worth it, and the Apple/Microsoft stores are a good place to test out phones and computers before you buy them. read more

I only go here because it is the closest Mall. I like the Restaurants, but everything else is unfriendly to families. There are so many Malls that cater to families, but this is not one of them. There is no kids entertainment area, the Disney Store closed, and just the Lego Store is left where most of the interactive displays have been shut down. There are no other kid friendly stores except for Kids Clothing stores which do not let children interact or play. My children call this Mall, the boring Mall and always beg me to drive 40 minutes away to Livingston, Rockaway, Menlo or their sister Mall Garden State Plaza. When we are there, we go to eat to Cheesecake Factory or CPK and then they beg me to go across the street to the TJMaxx Store to see the toys. I think they purposely have shunned away all the kid friendly stores and entertainment believing they will be considered more "upscale". However, I see the same crowd still trying to entertain small kids unsuccessfully and more store closings. This is not the Short Hills Mall, nor should it be with so many Kid populated towns like Basking Ridge, Bernardsville, Warren and Bridgewater as the nearest patrons. Livingston and Rockaway were falling apart until they made their Malls kid friendly and if I was Bridgewater I would follow suit. read more
