The house itself has a good structure with all major components having been replaced in the last year. I had several Contractor's bid on the project. I decided to go with Granite Mountain located at 14027 W Illinois Hwy, New Lenox, IL 60451. I dealt with Mark and Michelle, who are not only knowledgeable, but honest. They captured what I wanted, helped me pick my selections from their showroom, and kept me updated throughout the whole process. In Mark's words, there are many moving parts-that need to come together on time- and he made it happen, having staff here every day for the duration of the project. Each day I was impressed at the progress made, as well as the fact that I was able to live here, due to how clean his staff kept it. Mark timed everything perfectly. The whole house now has beautiful LVT flooring, all new oak woodwork throughout, 6 panel doors, trim, window casings, jams, fireplace mantel - all stained to the color I chose, beautiful granite and quartz countertops in kitchen and bathrooms, all smoke damage cleaned and painted, backsplash tile in the kitchen and beautiful kitchen soft close cabinets. Granite Mountain made what was a huge project, not only fun, but an incredible experience. I highly recommend using Granite Mountain for any home improvement project you have.

I recently purchased a condo that needed some remodeling and I decided to start with the floors…read more Replacing the old ugly carpeting with new vinyl flooring was a priority. The first place I went was to one of the major home improvement retail stores but I didn't get the help that I was looking for and there always seemed to be an issue. I decided to try a smaller local company that specialized in flooring and has been around for a long time but there were issues with them too. At this point, I started to get a little frustrated but I needed floors so I decided to try Total Flooring in Homer Glen. As soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted by one of their employees. He introduced himself and told me his name was John and that he'd be more than happy to help me out with whatever I needed. I began by explaining what I was looking for and trying to do as well as the issues I had dealing with the other companies. John listened to everything I said and then reassured me that he'd be able to help me out and guaranteed me that I'd be happy with the outcome. John began helping me from that first day and stayed in constant communication throughout the entire process. On the day of installation, John was also able to find the time and stopped by while on his way to work just to make sure everything was going as planned. After all the issues I had with the other companies it was finally my turn to have an issue. The prior night I ran into a situation that caused me to fall behind with several things that I needed to do prior to the install. John and the supervisor of the install crew quickly came up with several options and within a matter of minutes there was a new plan and the installation was back on track. The install crew took over and was amazing. Juan was the supervisor and Carlos and Noe were his crew members. They immediately got to work and when I say work these guys worked. With the improvised changes, I was able to finish taking care of the things I needed to do in one area of the condo while the crew started their work in another area. Now I have always thought of myself as having a good work ethic and to me, I was moving at a good pace but before I knew it Juan, Carlos, and Noe were almost done with half of the condo. This crew was amazing and worked their asses off and when you work around people like that it actually makes you work harder so I kicked it into another gear and quickly finished doing what I had to do and got out of the crew's way so that they could finish. Juan, Carlos, and Noe far exceeded my expectations and when the installation was complete, I was totally satisfied with how everything looked. John of course reached out to me like he had done during the entire process and made sure that I was happy with how everything turned out. I definitely was and I could honestly say that choosing Total Flooring was the right choice and that John, Juan, Carlos, and Noe definitely made the difference. I fully recommend them and the Total Flooring team to anyone looking for new floors. They were all awesome to work with...

Gave rough estimates to Kasia, we selected a quartz and waited to have the final measurements done prior to fabrication. No calls, no information we called several times the day before to be told we never confirmed after they left messages. Now we're pushed back a week. We confirmed that we will be home all day, however, again no one shows up! Another week goes by, we call the day before, and that morning and yes, we're on the schedule. They measure, and we'll have new cabinets the following week. Nope no install no calls, only after I call to find out that the piece we selected was too small. When I asked for my money back, because you have to pay in full to get on the schedule, that they don't do any returns but would consider it but it would cost me $250. At this point we decided they already have our money, so we go to select a granite, which Kasia says is cheaper, but still costs us another $100. The cut the piece, come out to install it, (3 weeks later) and on May 10th we get our cabinets delivered and installed. They look gorgeous, however when they measured the back splash flush against our in wall mirrored medicine cabinet so there isn't enough room for anyone to put their hand between the backsplash and the cabinets to open the doors. We call Kasia again to be told that for them to come out remove the piece would be $500 but if my husband removes it, delivers to them they would have it done in 1 day no charge. That was 3 days ago, and it's still not done. I'm even concerned about posting this until I have the backsplash returned, which we have to pick up and install ourselves, at risk of having our backsplash held hostage. I'm only posting so I can possibly help 1 person from making an error in purchasing from them.
