This wasn't my favourite visit to any Bridgehead. This location does not have the same look and feel as the other 2 locations which I am more familiar with, in Westboro and Mechanicsville; this location is smaller, and does not feel like a Bridgehead. That lack of space (which is not their fault but probable due to cost of rental) knocked a star off for me. However, I was grateful they were there! I chose to go in and try them out because they were available as an option. They do offer the wide variety of coffees that other Bridgehead outlets have, which is great! Right now I'm trying non-dairy whiteners and I asked about coconut milk as an alternative to almond milk. I don't like sweeteners in my coffee - this is normal for me, so I asked if coconut milk is sweet. Two of the Barristas shook their heads and said no, this is not sweet. So I tried it. This coffee ended up costing over $5.00. I could not finish it because it was too sweet. How unfortunate! Because of this I would give them 3 stars. On the other hand, this is a busy place which saw lots of traffic while I was there. The service was efficient and pleasant. And the shop was cleen. It's so nice to see a place where people seem happy to be there. for this I would give 5 stars. So for this visit I give them 4 stars. Not likely to try coconut milk again any time soon! But I would try Bridgehead again. read more

One of the coldest weekends this winter I woke up with a huge craving for a chai latte and the red quinoa salad from Bridgehead. A quick Yelp check told me this location was the closest to me - very crucial to minimizing my time out in the cold! There is an entrance on Slater St., with a bus stop in front of it, and it is also connected to the mall/ business tower on the other side. As a result this location isn't as cozy, but still very typical Bridgehead. The fellow that took my order was very friendly, just chatty enough to be nice but not annoying, but he almost got my order wrong (decaf!). I caught it when he repeated it back to me before calling it out to the barista. I noticed they didn't have many of the usual sandwiches or other grab-&-go lunch items, but that may have been because it was a Saturday. It's too bad that Chloe P. had an unpleasant experience here, I found it to be as friendly and inviting as other Bridgehead's I've been to in the downtown area. read more

Loved findings out Bridgehead has organic milk as their staple milk... Lucky for me, it's just a 3 block walk from my hotel. I used to come here years ago when I came down more often and really enjoyed their tea. Now I'm really enjoying a lovely smooth latte. They also have multiple gluten free options for hose of us unable to eat their other yummy items. The atmosphere is light and airy with awesome music!! Really enjoyed my little morning break here. I've been hooked on your coffee for a long time and i'm loving it. I'm very picky on my coffee and your has a very nice flavour. Your staff are very friendly and always courteous. I like your App as well and use it religiously. There are 2 things that i don't like. 1) i'm not your accountant! Came here every week on my business trip. I'm finding I love their coffee more than Starbucks. It's richer and more hearty. It's busy early in the morning, but the line moves quickly. There's lots of good snacks for breakfast, and some gluten free options (and a spelt cookie!). Also some breakfast wraps and steel cut oats. Their small size is very small, so get a medium or higher. read more

I'm in and out of this particular Bridgehead all the time. The staff are consistently friendly (though not overly chatty). Frankly, I just want my medium roast and a place to sit and deflate! This can be a very busy location, so the crowds around you can be pretty noisy....maybe avoid going in at noon! read more

First: Bridgehead makes the best coffee in the world, hands down. I'm reviewing this location because it's right by my bus stop in the morning in the more "financial' district-y area of downtown. Not the hippest area, but it's a convenient location for workers and commuters who don't want Tim Horton's brown water. There is alway a long line because of the morning rush, but it goes so fast and by the time I get to the cash the staff are so friendly and nice, but still super efficient.
