Castel from bridge home health is an awesome individual and an awesome nurse. I ran into an issue with an occlusion alarm on my portable iv device, and he stepped right in, figured out what was wrong, and was able to identify the issue over the phone. (The bag was too cold and fluid was thick.) He's prompt, responsive, and really informative. On top of that, he's just a friendly guy to deal with. Highly recommend him and bridge for home health. read more

It's been closed by Medicare at least if it's Bridge Home health and hospice. Closed down. Can't comment about care quality or experience since I haven't used them, but it should be known that they're no longer in operation. I see the owner has replied below, wish I could reply to that but I'm not given the option. If you are open for business why is there no option to leave a message and why did my Medicare Home Health provider*tell* me you'd been closed by Medicare? Is this for San Diego, because literally everyone I've talked to with Medicare HH informs me your office is closed. You may want to check with them if this is not the case. read more

My 84 year old mother was referred to this company by her doctor for home care assistance. It took over a week for them to send someone to her house and when they did, the person knocked on the door, waited 30 seconds, and left his business card. My mother is in a walker and it takes a little while to open the door. You would think this company would know this being it is their business to work with elderly patients. They then sent out another person who had my mother sign some forms and she hasn't heard from them since. This was 2 weeks ago. They will not even return our calls. I assume they submitted this to Medicare and are probably committing Medicare fraud. I will be contacting Medicare to see if they can investigate this terrible company. In the meantime, we had to call the doctor to refer a different more credible company. read more

Another year reminder of how our dad passes away under the care of Bridge and under such awful circumstances of negligence, irresponsible and all together hands off any critical much needed assistance. Our family never forgets those days that we begged for help but nothing of tangible assistance to reduce the pain received from the staff of this place. read more

They are NOT dependable at all! My 72 year old father was reffered to them from the VA and they fail to show up. When they do contact you its usually same day apppointments so you never know when they will actually show. You can't contact anyone to make a request for complaint. They never answer their phones. The nurse is contracted to come out twice a week and we are lucky if they show up once. Terrible company. read more

I remember my dad's passing almost daily and every time it reminds me of the chaotic careless and hands off approach of the people supposedly working for this place. We had an agonizing couple days next to my dying dad without hardly any help or useful instructions. The dumb nurse showed up after a few hours and left hurriedly indicating that all we had to is administer the morphine for him to peacefully pass. Huge regret and feeling of guilt for making such a decision to let this hospice take over our loved one care. read more

I'm mind blown how amazing this hospice service company was. They took care of everything for my father. They were kind and caring and I was so happy With everything they did. Our nurse was so good. Alexis was AMAZING! I can't thank them and her enough. read more

I have both been an employee and a patient family of this hospice. On both sides, they are undependable, distant, and sometimes they do not even respond to your request. As a patient, oftentimes you do not even get a phone call when you call in until 5 or 6 hours later. They have a high turnover rate of managers, employees, especially nurses, which is an indicator of a poor working environment. read more

Don't ever use Bridge Hospice for your loved one. They're incompetent. My mother died at 2:30 am, Hospice never picked up the phone when she was dying. They didn't show up until 8:30am. 5 hrs later. The nurse on call fell asleep per the office personnel. I give them a 0. read more

I thought all Hospice companies were the same. I was wrong. The first one that I called to care for my Dad, was bad. Now with my mother on Hospice I have called Bridge Home Health & Hospice. I was assigned to Sabrina. She is so caring and knowledgeable. She is very honest with me about how my mother is doing. She is happy to explain things to my siblings. I am not a nurse, so things get lost in translation. Sabrina is just a call/text away. If I need more attention or just need to talk, Sabrina is there for me. I can not imagine a more loving caring person. Marta has been assigned to give my mother a bath. She is able to give my mother a good bath. Much better then anything I can do. Mother is bed bound. So giving her a bath is not easy. Most of the women in the office recognize my voice. They are very pleasant to work with. read more

If you need an in-home physical therapist ask for Aaron at Bridge Home Health. He is so knowledgeable and he explains his suggestions to you very clearly. He even took the time to write and draw my exercises so that I could do them between visits. He's very kind but also knows how to push you to do your best. I would highly recommend Aaron!! read more

Took 9 days for them to sign the death certificate. Still waiting to see if it's done. CA law says it must be signed within 15 hrs. We can't have the funeral until it is signed. This place is messed up. Do not use them. They don't even care. The director was laughing about it. The Nurse was great though. read more

I highly recommend this company. I'm a retired nurse and know what should be done. Aaron is a physical therapist with this company. I cannot recommend him enough!! I was terrified to step off a curb (after a major fall). I couldn't step off the curb without holding on to a car, or someone's hand. Now I just step up or down and keep moving. It's a wonderful sense of freedom and more importantly independent again. Aaron is very skilled and well educated/experienced in what he does! I can't recommend him high enough!!! The one time I needed a nurse, she was also really good, unfortunately she no longer works with the company. read more

I'd like to say thank you to all the staff that was assigned to my mother Jacinta Shields. My mother came back home to us on March 16,2021 and was put under Bridge Hospice, Monday-Friday there was somebody coming over to help with my mother, 3 days we had the LVN's, I can't say enough about the ones we were honored enough to have, Ivan,Eva,Cherice&Marie were all exceptional and caring people, thank you all so much for everything you've done to make my mother's last days with us as comfortable as possible. Then 2 days out the week we had Karina who helped with the bathing of my mother. My mother is bed bond , but Karina was quick and made it as comfortable for my mother as possible, thank you Karina for doing such an amazing job , even when my mother would refuse her services Karina always reassured us that if my mom changed her mind or if there was anything we needed or there was something she could do ,all we had to do was call her and she'd come through. So my father Michael & I would like to send all of you are gratitude for all that you've done to make my mother's last days with us as comfortable as possible. Ivan,Eva,Cherice,Marie & Karina , thank you all so much for taking so much pride in your job and making our lives so much easier with keeping my mother Jacinta comfortable. Rest easy mamá 4/24/21 read more

Bridge Home Health is only about the profit margin. Management is dishonest and only focused on budget. They could not send my dad supplies. The nurses that come out complain how the company lacks diversity and is white washed saying most of the nurses are only a year out of school. The one girl is good but says if she didn't catch my dad, she would not get paid because they only pay by the visit or something. I am looking into another place because I can't accept any agency that treats nurses this way. All the nurses seem over it and really quick. I get it its a crazy time. read more

Ok, at this time comparison check to Sojourn & Bristol Hospice personnel, med deliver & products. Sojourn: Very good personnel, medicine deliver good, an disposal hygiene products top of line...(McKesson). Bristol, changed out Sojourn: PA, ask caregriver what meds the patient is on..not good, an other personnel question on competence. Med deliver OK, hygiene products good. Changed hospice to Bridget for personnel issues. Now, for Bridge: Although not with patient but a short term, my issues have been mounting up.....as they state that they are a new office in the Vacaville, ca. area with new personnel. Personnel take note of what the caregiver is saying.....then do not act on the information or deliver requested products. Products delivered lower quality...(FitRight), thinner disposal pads, which require additional usage.... Working with the RN's, the transition is taking time.......hopefully will become acceptable before the hospice period ends......an see if we can add to the Stars. read more

We have had Bridge hospice for a while now and I can say that they have been the best and always on top with their services and support to our residents. Whenever there's a problem, the care team that is assigned to us always make sure that it is handles immediately. I love that they're very welcoming and easy to communicate with. I am very satisfied with their services and I highly recommend to anyone that needs hospice services. read more

my 87 year old mom has been with Bridge under hospice care for a while. I just needed to say that the staff she has had has been wonderful during this time. They have been so caring and attentive and she has felt very well taken care of. I especially want to thank Brandy, Nicole and Manny for their constant caring attitude and going the extra mile to make my mom feel special, which is so important during this time. Every time I reached to one of them for something they always got back to me even if it was after hours at night so a big thank you to them. This is the type of care you hope for during a time like this. read more

THANK YOU BRIDGE HOSPICE Bridge Hospice did an amazing job of care and wellness to my father as he had home hospice care. Too often, the ones who care for our loved ones in the last weeks/days/hours are left without thanks for doing a job that is immeasurably harder than most. My family and I would like to change that with a heartfelt thanks that cannot be said enough. Specifically, caregivers Kristi, Brandie and Braden, and those others that came to give my father any help they were asked to do so, have our utmost respect. Unfortunately, some Bridge Hospice caregivers received some unforgivable treatment by some family members, for which we apologize for. We want it known that Kristi, Brandie and Braden and the rest of the caregivers there have eased our moments of stress and gave us comfort by giving comfort to our father when he was in need, in a way only they could perform. We are grateful to them all and cannot express enough how gifted they are, and blessed we were to have them. Thank you, J.R. Mounts read more

I have had the best experience ever with Bridge Home Health. They reached out to me following a hip replacement. The person who reached out and helped to set everything up is named Victor Rasor. Victor has been friendly, easy to get ahold of, and has made scheduling so easy. Thank you Victor for going above and beyond to make this as easy as possible for me. My therapist is named Eileen. She has been without a doubt the best physical therapist I've ever worked with. Not only does she work on strength exercises, she has been manually manipulating muscle knots and spasms so I have a better result. She even showed me how to do lymphatic massage on the area to help with swelling. I've never experienced such a well rounded approach to PT. This is my second hip surgery and both came with a few complications and she had been addressing all my issues old and new. Thank you Eileen for helping me achieve the best possible result. 5 stars for Victor and 5 stars for Eileen. I highly recommend bridge home health. read more

I have been really happy with this company. I use this company on a professional basis and cant say enough positive things about them. They have gone above and beyond to help my client, and really shown that they care. That speaks volumes in light of the previous negative experiences we had with other agencies. I highly reccommend them. read more

Bridge Home Health is not recommended. Their nurses always seem rushed in the home and they're very unorganized. They do not coordinate their visits properly and would show up at my mothers house without calling first. The office staff was unprofessional and rude when I used to call and ask why this was happening. I will be going with another company for any further needs of my parents. read more

First off I want to thank bridge hospice care for caring for my brother. I am not good in any of this kind of situation, and the care nurse explained things and made the situation so much more bearable. It was a hard time for my family and myself. I appreciate everything they do for all the people that need this care it's very difficult and it takes a very special kind of person. Kudos bridge hospice for being a great place for people to reach out and take care of their parents brothers sisters etc. I appreciate all your kindness thank you so much! read more

Bridge Home Health is awful. In a 3 week period they sent 5 different nurses all of which I had to show how to dress my spouses wounds. The 5th nurse showed up without the proper supplies. I let her use mine but let her know it had to be replaced. A 6th nurse showed up with the proper supplies, but refused to replace the borrowed supplies because they were too expensive. (My insurance was charged for the supplies). The nursing manager, Temie, refused to replace the supplies and called me a liar saying none of her staff would show up without the proper supplies. When you are dealing with a loved one's health issues, you don't need the added aggravation of dealing with this awful company. I would have given them zero stars if it was an option. read more

Physical Therapist PT Henrik just released my elderly Father, who is living in an Assisted Living Community in San Jose CA, prematurely from Physical Therapy without ever treating his first initial cause of injury/concern. The request for treatment was for my Father's neck/vertebrae injury/pain from a "hard" fall backward, hitting his neck on the back of a chair. I had made a point to be present at the first meeting, and requested to be updated along the way, to help my Father treat his care needs. My requests were ignored . . I do not recommend this company!! My Dad had suffered a HARD fall backwards and landed in Emergency Hospital ER. He was lucky that he did not break his neck. As a result, though, my Dad suffered from a sprain with pain with stiffness and swelling in his neck. Bridge Home Health was contracted to provide "At Home" Physical Therapy for my Dad for this issue . . . apparently Henrik NEVER treated my Dad's sore neck (with ice packs, sonic treatment, etc). Today I Iearned that my Father's PT therapy had been discontinued, and Henrik never bothered to consult with me, nor advise me of any "At-Home" exercises to keep my Father mobile, or ever respond to my requests of treating Dad's sore neck. Wow !!!! Zero follow-through and precise treatment of Patient's health concerns. This company seems to just want to collect Medicare payments, without any true concern for the Resident. Beware !!! read more

STRONGLY NOT RECOMMEND!!! When I call them for example like today they don't answer "leave a msg" and its was around 10am and12pm called again 1 and then 2:30 still same thing none of the nurses answered but Vicky did (she great) and Brittany but she wasn't working that day but anyway so (catheter issues) I went to the office and guess what everyone just sitting there one person was on their phone another one just sitting and the rest on computer what ever they were doing I was hoping nobody is there so I won't have to go off on them like I did and I was fed lies on lies "I was tryinf Email you or respond to your email" which I never email and I asked if there was no nurse available can one of you come out and do it . A blonde lady with glasses answered no one at the office can then Maryam was like yeah well one of us have to it's absolutely worst experience first Hospis then now bridge Home Health. And Anita was full of lies too and that's the one in charge and I got told her office ain't there which was a lie. She was there her office is there. POORRRR SERVICE!!!! And I hope one day some of you experience the experience that some patient have to deal with due to the POOR SERVICE!!! read more

Where do I start? My father was on hospice for a few months. They are contracted by the VA. My dads care team was completely awesome!! If I needed anything I got it!!! Sometimes more. I couldn't have asked for a better team. Anytime I needed to talk or ask a question I was always welcomed. They are a very supportive team. Anytime I needed medication didn't matter the hour of the day it was always delivered. Nurses on call and would come over to check on my father when I felt he had some changes. When my dad became too much for me to handle he and I requested him to be placed in a home. I was very blessed and relieved that Bridge staff could still come in and assist him. This let me be more comfortable with him moving to long term. Bridge was with us every step of the way! Anytime I needed a help they where there on time and with smiles!! Cee Cee was his initial nurse and would come over and talk with him even if he was sleep. Al I appreciate your honesty!!! Thank you for your support. I know I called him often. I don't think he ever cared. LOL. Yvonne was another nurse who I didn't get to see as often as I liked. Mark who is the Chaplin gave me so much comfort. Very soft spoken and straight forward. He may have only known my father for a few months but in those few months he spoke my fathers lifetime at his services. You can tell he actually cares. Vonnie was the social worker on the case. Very sweet and funny. She always reassured me to call her at any time and I did. She helped me put things in prospective about my dad going to a skilled Facility. I hope I spell her name right, Nevia is one of the on call nurses. Nevis is absolutely funny!! One night I need someone to talk to and it was a night when I wanted someone to check my dad. I was crying like a baby because she said I could. In the moment of me crying she tells me a story about a 90+ y/o women and her care giver and a can of soda. It was thee funniest!! At that moment I felt bipolar because I was just crying my face out and I was laughing at what she said! Marta was very good at giving my dad baths. My dad would be so clean and smelling good. I hope I didn't leave anybody out. Everybody that I came across that was a bridge employee was very respectful and helpful. The only complaint I had was a young girl who stood in for Marta one day. My fathers body was Rigid due to his illness and when she came to give him a bath she lifted his leg so high and fast!!!! My dads face said a lot and I had to grab his leg and pull it down because he was either in pain or sore from being stiff. I had to explain to her about his stiffness. I also had to let her know that she was a bit rough With him and now that I think about it......... did she forget she's dealing with hospice patients? in a nutshell thank you crew! Thank you team! I kinda feel weird not talking to them. I tahini this is the longest yelp review I have ever done. read more

I am the owner of a non-medical home care agency, San Diego Home Caregivers. I currently have clients that work with Bridge and am happy to see the quality of care and the consistency of care, meaning the same nurse visits and develops the relationship. Our father was with Bridge Hospice at home care for 2 months. We chose Bridge based on assurances that they would have timely response to an emergency. We have given one star based on the fact that for most of the time, the standard services were good. However there were two emergency situations where unacceptable response times resulted in serious distress for our father. Because of that, one led to an ER visit with an ambulance. The second crisis ended with our father's passing. The most egregious problem with Bridge Hospice was that a "Comfort Kit", a bag of 3 drugs ( anti pain, anti anxiety) that is a required part of comfort care for a hospice patient at home was never delivered to our home, denying our father pain and anxiety relief during his crises. Hospice's goal is to give comfort and pain relief to the patient, and help the family cope with the patient's passing. Our family had neither of these things. read more
