For $10 you got Dominican breakfast, lunch or dinner. Great fish, chicken, and breakfast options. The coffee is good, and they've got tasty desserts. If you're in dumbo, take a short walk over here. Closed on Sunday.

Service was okay but food is not clean. I order from them in the past and stopped by today to get lunch. There are only 3 pieces of broccoli and cauliflower in my plate and found 2 worms in it. They did not clean or washed vegetables. I'm very disappointed and have lost my appetite. Will never go there again....

Authentic old-school original The yellow rice with olives so simple but full of flavor and the marinated chicken was awesome.

Their rice is gold. Omg the flavor of their rice and beans with chicken and chicken stew sauce with some softened fried Maduros just hits the spot. Without a word we just kept eating the slightly tomato flavored rice with the chargrilled chicken parts. Right next to papis- this place has even more options and obviously know a thing or two about Hispanic comfort food.

Let me get right into it.... Must have the AVENA ( oatmeal) Its like crack!!!! ( I have never tried crack but u get my drift) make sure to ask for cinnamon on top and middle. Very creamy and tastes like heaven. Not sure its totally healthy but who cares. #2. CHICKEN SOUP is Grrrrreat w/ just enough spices. #3. Pernil is pretty good. You might just walk by this place and not notice it since its kind of hidden.

Beef, beans and rice SOO GOOD!!

Came to Havana Central for dinner and had an enjoyable meal…read more This restaurant is ALWAYS packed, as soon as you enter, you're hit with sounds of happy customers, and the decor is elegantly tropical. Our Server, Ramon, did an exceptional job. The staff did a great job at clearing finished items and everyone's timing was spot on. We started with the Tostones Rellenos con picadillo (Green plantains stuffed with ground beef). This was a great starter. Large enough to share and I enjoyed the drizzled sweet sauce and whole olives. Our entrees were: Palomilla Steak Platter (thin cut sirloin steak) and the Ropa Vieja (shredded flank steak). Both dishes were accompanied by white rice and we chose black beans and a side salad. This was the first time that I've seen Palomilla Steak presented totally cut into strips and it was a welcomed sight. The Ropa Vieja was perfectly seasoned and the amount of meat was thoroughly enjoyed. I capped off the meal with a Cortadito (A cortado is a Spanish coffee beverage consisting of equal parts espresso and warm, lightly steamed milk. The name comes from the Spanish verb cortar (to cut), meaning the milk "cuts" the acidity and intensity of the espresso. I appreciated the cookie on the side and each sip was amazing. Havana Central has various choices, to accommodate your time of day: lunch specials, a pre-theater menu, and a Happy Hour.

Wagner was great a wonderful personality and he made sure everything was to our liking checking on us periodically. I have been here before (the first time we did assorted appetizers) so but this time I dove into the dinner menu. The oxtail pasta was absolutely lovely, the meat was tender and delicately seasoned. I had the steak (I prefer my steak more on the well side) and the chef managed to keep it positively tender and juicy. Perched on top of a few slices of fried casava slices and a small side salad. You can never leave without trying the flan it's one of the best I have ever had. Service was quick and food was bought to us piping hot. The only down side is they oddly don't make pina coladas (it's the only thing I drink) and the restaurant was a bit too cold but other than that it was a lovely birthday dinner for my friend. Buena Vista is small and popular so I strongly suggest you make reservations if you plan on eating here.

Short on time, with just 40 minutes to dine, we thought we'd be wise to limit ourselves to starters and drinks. Greedily, though, we asked our server Carlos if he thought we had enough time for entrees. He said let's try! Trusting his wisdom and his consultation with the kitchen, we ordered the beet salad plus the langostino ravioli and the Chilean sea bass. To drink we had a strawberry martini and the guava and basil margarita. Every morsel was delectable. All of the dishes were colorful and interesting and robust with complex flavors and textures. The fish was cooked perfectly, light on the tongue. My daughter did ask for an adjustment to her drink upon first sip, and they accommodated graciously. We enjoyed our meals at an easy pace, got the check while finishing our drinks, paid via QR code, and made it to the show with 15 minutes to spare, satiated and satisfied. Regrettably, we didnt have time for dessert. So, good reason to go back SOON.

It offers a mix of Spanish, Dominican, and Puerto Rican dishes, including empanadas, sandwiches, and seafood, and is praised for its friendly service and value, though some find the drinks mediocre. The restaurant recently moved to a new location on Avenue C. Karrie didn't just serve us food--she showed real character. We came up a couple of dollars short, and without hesitation or obligation, she stepped in and helped us out. That kind of compassion is rare and unforgettable. Her service was warm, professional, and sincere from start to finish. The entire staff was welcoming, and the food is Absolutely unreal with an amazing Authentic Caribbean dishes bursting with flavor--hands down some of the best you'll find in New York City. El Rinconcito isn't just a restaurant; it's a place with heart. If you want incredible food and people who genuinely care, this is it. Highly recommended. The seating was comfortable, making it an easy place to sit and enjoy the meal. I ordered the pernil, and the skin was, dare I say, perfect... crispy, flavorful, exactly what you want. Unfortunately, the meat itself was pretty lean and ended up a bit dry. The maduros were a bigger letdown; when I had them before, they were ripe and sweet, but this time they came out dry as hell. I sent them back, and to their credit, they took them off the bill without any issue. My friend enjoyed his Cuban panini, and while the pork chicharrón had a few off pieces, it was decent overall. So overall, I'd say this place can be really good, but there's definitely a consistency issue. When they get it right, it's excellent; it just doesn't seem to be that way every time.
