I wish I had read the reviews on here about the bad customer service before going, because I…read moreimagine that letting a used car salesman give me a root canal would be a better experience. From the moment I walked in the store, an overly pushy salesman followed me like a hawk and barely lets me breathe as I'm trying to inspect all around & inside some machines, as if he's worried of what I might find by looking closely. Then after I politely declined to buy something he suggested that was objectively way overpriced, he goes back to counter and I hear him talking trash about me to another employee loud enough as though he purposely wanted to me to hear it. I left and easily found way better value elsewhere. You can see the lack of professionalism on full display by their replies to poor ratings on here and other review sites, constantly insulting the reviewers (calling them some combinations of liars, unintelligent, saboteurs, or generally bad people) and never once apologizing or taking accountability for a bad experience. Most of the stuff is WAY overpriced for the age & cosmetic condition it's in to get just a 30 day warranty added on (that other reviews suggest they barely honor). Stay far far away from this place.

My last 2 visits to the Greer store have been the best experiences I have had after being a HD…read more customer for 30 plus years in 5 different parts of the country. 2 Weeks ago I was trying to pay off an extended payment invoice . The young lady in customer service was patient with my limited knowledge of the system . She walked me through every step to make sure I paid of the correct account. Today I was looking for an item in the BBQ. department she was walking by and I said I have a question She stopped what she was doing and directed me to the correct aisle. HD does not stock this particular item, She offered to go online and research the item. she found it ordered it for me accepted my payment completed the transaction . Any time in the future if I have any issues I will try to find JACQUELINE. I hope I spelled it correctly. Bill

Bought new washer and dryer. Pleasant salesman BUT delivery personnel are rude, rushed and don't do…read moreInstallation as they should. Just drop merchandise and leave. When I asked for return visit to level washer and dryer they sent 2 men that communicated to me with a translator app on their phone!! When I insisted that the appliances be properly Installed they said that washer was defective and I have to wait for another week for a new one (and go through the whole Installation process again). When I complained and tried to get some answer they said they couldn't stay cause they had other deliveries today. When I left the room to go to restroom and came back, they had snuck out the door and left. If I ever get this taken care of there will be NO MORE HOME DEPOT. Dont recommend at all.ecommend

As I walked out of Lowes, I was convinced this was a three star outfit, but maybe four. OK, three…read moreand a half. Yelp doesn't allow half-stars but being an eternal optimist, I choose to round up. This explains a great deal about my nervous system than it does about this Lowes, though this Lowes deserves some credit too. Or blame. I'm still sorting that out in a small notebook I keep for this exact purpose. This is the possessive case Lowe's with hammers, not the Lowes with rotisserie chickens. They're not the same building, not even on the same side of the road or the same side of town, though emotionally, to me, they merged into one years ago, the way my aunt and her sister became the same person sometime after 1987. If you walk into this Lowe's looking for a rotisserie chicken, that's a you problem. It's also, weirdly, a problem I have had personally, more than once, and I'm not proud of it, but I'm also not going to pretend it didn't happen, because pretending things didn't happen is how my family ended up the way it did. There's a smell in the lumber aisle, somewhere between pencil shavings and a campfire that has made a series of bad decisions, and it's the exact smell of my father's garage in 1991, the same year he tried to build a deck and instead built what the county later described, in writing, as "a hazard." I stood in that aisle for eleven minutes breathing it in like a man at a wine tasting, until an employee named Daryl asked if I needed help finding anything. I told him no, I'm just visiting, the way you'd say it at a hospital. This is also similar to an aisle in a separate Lowe's just outside Chicago (assuming you'd say Anderson was just outside Chicago) where my girlfriend broke up with me over the phone in 2009, while I was holding a tube of caulk in each hand like a gunslinger. That's a detail I have never told anyone, including my therapist, who I am now telling by way of this Yelp review, which she will probably never read, unless she also needed lumber, which, statistically, given the neighborhood, she might have. On this visit, in the cabinetry department, between the navy shaker cabinets and a display kitchen nobody has ever cooked in, a man in cargo shorts was training a dog, an Australian Shepherd named, I believe, Gordon, using a clicker and small pieces of hot dog. This was not a Lowe's event. No sign, no banner, just a man, a dog, a clicker, and a folding chair he'd brought from home, possibly in his own car, possibly on the bus, I didn't ask. He had Gordon holding a "stay" next to the lazy susan demo while a woman in scrubs filmed it on her phone for reasons that remained unclear to me and possibly to her. A piece of hot dog rolled into a soft-close drawer track and nobody, including Gordon, seemed bothered by this. I watched for nineteen minutes and didn't buy any cabinets. I left with a new appreciation for soft-close drawer tracks, and a faint, lingering sadness, the kind you get at the weddings you're invited to of people you don't really know. At checkout, a different employee, not Daryl, asked if I'd found everything I was looking for. I said, more or less, that I had found things I wasn't looking for, which is true of most of my visits to most stores, and arguably my whole life. He handed me a flyer for a rotisserie chicken sale, from the other Lowes, the one with the chickens, the one that has never once broken up with me over the phone. I have mixed feeling about my rating, but went on the high side for the lumber smell, the caulk, the dog, and whatever Daryl is going through right now, because it looked like a lot.
