Do not trust these people. They are liars and thieves to say the least. I purchased a car from them recently and had to argue with them at every turn throughout the negotiation. For starters, their doc and registration fees are completely bogus. They'll charge you $700 for those and say it's a standard fee but I bought another car in NJ just four months ago and their doc and registration fees were only $200. 2nd, they'll pressure you into signing a document waiving your rights to have the car refunded to you in the event it doesn't pass inspection. That is completely bogus and you should never have to sign something like that. They'll also ask you to sign a waiver saying that if you choose to sue them, you'll have to go to arbitration first. My suggestion is that you sign it and then immediately nix it as you have 10 days after the fact to reneg on that particular document. So ignoring all of their shady business tactics to start, the car I purchased, after multiple assurances the brakes were in order and inspected, were in fact shoddy and never stopped creaking. The car itself, as of yesterday, has stopped operating completely. Even though it is under warranty, they refuse to take it into their shop and when pressed to do so, merely said that their shop is three weeks behind and hung up on me. All of this done after Carlo, one of their lead salesmen swore to me on his dead wife's grave that the car was in top shape and that they were taking a loss in selling it to me. What a crock. He said no the car is 9000 and that's that. First off the car is listed for 8999 which is not 9000 I don't car if it's a cent less or not. Then to add insult to injury they have an option on there website to enter an offer which I did. Why have that option if your going to talk to me with that New Jersey Demeanor. Drove over an hour to go look at a car with a supposed "clean" car fax. When asked about car fax, was told there was an accident but it was "minor". How exactly can you tell if an accident is minor when on the car fax all it says is "accident reported"? Besides that... since we were coming from far away, asked if car had any defects. Apparently a rust hole on the fender you can stick your fingers through doesn't count as a defect. After driving the car, I'm presented with an offer breaking down the price; which was full price btw. I had no real interest in the car after seeing the car fax and rust but figured I'd humor the salesman. They try to slide in a $400 documentation fee for literally nothing. I was trying to purchase a $6000 car outright. Not financed. What $400 worth of documentation will you be doing?? Handing me a title?? They don't even do the motor vehicle docs! Please!!! If your thinking about buying a car from here have a mechanic look at it first. I bought a 2003 Audi A4 and it is a lemon!!! I was told that it was a nice running car. They didn't tell me about the glove box that hangs off of one hinge, or the massive oil leaks, or the wind sheild washing fluid leak. Then I drove it home and within an hour the check engine light came on and turned out to be that the transmission needed to be replaced. I have replaced the transmission and fixed one of the oil leaks which has added up to be the same amount of money I paid for the car and I still have more repairs to make on the car. I talked to management in North Jersey and they didn't care at all because I bought the car as is. I would never recommend this dealer to anybody and I have been more then fair in this review. read more

I bought a 2012 Kia Optima Sx in Dec. 20,2018 on Jan. 2, 2019 the engine stops working almost got into two car accidents because my car was stuck around the bend of a high traffic intersection with my newborn in the back seat. It was towed back to the dealership and then I found out my cars engine was recalled but that information was not disclosed before purchasing the vehicle. Then had to have it towed to a Kia dealership replaced the engine and the car is still having an isssueI wish I would've been told about the recall I never would've purchased the car I would've picked another vehicle. So I went there yesterday to look at a car posted on the internet. The first problem was they didn't like that I had not made an appointment. Now I haven't bought a car in a while so maybe that's common now but I've never made an appointment to buy a car. Second issue Carlo. That man called he honey sweetheart dear everything except my name. Typically I'd have said something but I don't think he knew that was not ok. Third problem several of the cars I went to look at were not available to see. Either they were getting checked out or repaired or they were buried 10 deep and had I made an appointment they would have gotten it out. And final problem the one car I actually sat in and tried to start wouldn't start. Drove for over an hour to be disappointed. Car was advertised as in excellent condition. The driver's interior door handle and door panel were broken and the a/c was not working. I was told that they would not be repairing the car because it is as-is. They would also not reduce the price, even though the car was priced higher than KBB price for excellent condition. To ad insult to injury I waited a half hour for the salesman, Carlo, because he was never told that I was waiting for him. There was another customer in the waiting area complaining that they put money down on a car and have yet to get the car. Don't go to this dealer. That guy Sean is fake. Nobody comes on this site to sing praises over a used car is such large detail. I bought a car from these scam artists and immediately after I drove it off the lot (after 75 miles back to my home) the engine light went on. Initially I though it was only going to be a 50 dollar fix but it turned into a 2,000 dollar disaster. AutoZone told me that I only needed a new pedal sensor but that didn't fix the problem and my car ended up stuck on a major highway in rush hour traffic because the gas pedal didn't work. I would have taken the car back to the Bridge Dealer but the car was literally a danger to my well being. I had to take the car to three different mechanics before they could figure out what was wrong with it. First mechanic said that the problem was out of his league and couldn't help me (charges me 100), second mechanic, a Nissan dealership, performed 900 in repairs and couldn't fix the problem... then told me that the engines harness has been tampered with and the entire harness would need to be replaced and they weren't sure if that would fix the problem. My car sat in my driveway for two months. I thought I was buying a drivable car not salvage. Finally after taking it to a third mechanic I found out that Bridge Auto doesn't know how to jump a car battery. The reason for all of the malfunctioning is because they hooked up the battery cables backwards and left them on the battery for so long that they fried the cars radio and some other extremely important components of the cars fuel and pedal controls. I tried to get in touch with bridge but they will only dodge your calls and offer repairs for a cheaper rate. If they had at least been up front with me about what was wrong with the car to begin with then I could have saved myself $1,000. With the condition that I received this car, it should have been considered a "salvage car" but their sales guys will trick you into thinking that the car is in great condition and doesn't need any work to pass inspection. The car's inspection was still valid from the previous year when I bought it and if the engine light codes had not been cleared off the car I would have never bought it. Save yourself the hassle and just get a certified preowned car. I was naïve to think that people could not be so crooked and conniving, don't make my mistake. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! One star is one too many! I was unable to transfer the title at MV because the dealer id was reported as invalid on 8/23.  MV agent said the dealership most likely did not pay the appropriate fees and/or file the required paperwork. I would need to reach out to the dealership to resolve. I went to the dealership personally and explained it to Aaron, salesman that sold me the vehicle for $3300 that was purchased for my daughter.  He said I was the second customer to report the issue and their clerk was heading to MV to resolve the issue, he would give me an update in an hour.  No follow up was provided. I called and left a message asking to speak with the GM. AGAIN, no call was returned to me. The next day I called again to speak with the GM, Mel Gutierrez, because the tags were expiring and I was concerned my daughter would be driving an illegal car.  Not to mention the fee motor vehicle will charge us for not titling the vehicle in the required amount of time, I was told he was unavailable.Yet again, he never called me back and after my third phone call to the dealership asking to speak with Mel, they no longer answered the phone when I called. It kept ringing and ringing then a message came on saying, "Your call cannot be completed at this time."  After 20 or so calls that were left unanswered, I called from my husband's cell phone and by some miracle they actually heard the phone and answered it on the first ring. The young lady I spoke with said they were aware of the situation and were issuing extension letters to customers, extending the tags.  She assured me she would send it out in the mail and I would have it on Monday. Monday the 27th came and went, not only was the promised letter not received, I called and this time spoke to Nick, he said no such letter could extend the expiration of the tags.  He did say that Mel would offer me a letter by email from the dealership, in case we were to get pulled over,  explaining that to no fault of my own there has been a delay in the registration process and the dealership was doing everything in their power to resolve the issue. He assured me I would get the letter in an email by 10am Wednesday the 29th. Of course I never received the email, which I was hoping to get before my daughter left for work.  I called yet again on the 29th and this time spoke to Eve Cruz, who finally got me the letter from Mel ( if he even exists) and assured me that I would be able to complete my title transfer soon. On August 31st, I put the so called vehicle we purchased in the shop because I wanted to have the muffler replaced, which I was told at the time of purchase by the salesman Aaron that it was an aftermarket addition and should only be around $100.00 to replace it.  Shame on me for believing such "BS".  Needless to say after my previous days experience,  I was not shocked at all when my mechanic called and told me that not only is there a hole in the muffler, the entire exhaust is rusted out, the left front tire could barely turn under the weight of the vehicle because of the shotty break work.  Aaron assured me new brakes and rotors were installed. Apparently they were but it was done incorrectly and the newly installed brake pads and rotors would be worthless in a short amount of time, and could cause more damage to the left front of the car if we kept driving it. The left front caliber needed to be replaced and rebuilt. There is a laundry list of other issues I will chalk up to as being a used 2004 Accura RL "as is" purchase. However, lying to a customer about an after market addition causing the louder then normal muffler, the shotty brake work that could have caused fatal injuries to my daughter and other drivers on the road, and the fact that the so called GM, Mel Gutierrez,  never once took the time to answer any one on my calls or concerns, no attempt was made to make my poor customer experience any better,  is all a true testament to the unprofessional, lack of workmanship, shady business and deceitful sales tactics that is being managed at Bridge Auto. read more

I spoke over the phone with Ken and asked several questions regarding the title and condition of the vehicle, I was told it had never been involved in any accidents and was in great shape both cosmetically and mechanically. I decided to go see the vehicle in person and it appeared to be very clean, I was once again told there were no issues with the vehicle at all so I decided to buy it and spend nearly $20,000 on it. Upon taking it to be inspected so I can register it, I was told that the vehicle was missing major emissions and engine components that are essential for the vehicle to run safely and was also told that the check engine bulb had actually been removed from the vehicle to cover up the issues. I took the vehicle to a mechanic to get a quote on parts the day after only to find out that it would cost roughly $3,000 in parts to get the vehicle to pass inspection and on top of that, 70% of the parts needed are no longer being manufactured by GM so I can't even order them from the factory, the GM dealership advised me to take legal action against whoever sold me the car. I consulted with an attorney who confirmed they they broke multiple federal laws by selling this vehicle. I made several calls to Bridge Auto explaining the situation. They informed me that they do not perform inspections on the vehicles that they sell and that they would have someone from corporate contact me to make things right. It has been over a week since that conversation occurred and I have still not received a call from anyone to rectify the situation. They have also stopped answering my calls completely. I now have no choice but to take legal action due to Bridge Auto selling me a car that I cannot legally sell or register. read more

I bought the 2011 Altima for 7.5k, good price, isn't it? Unfortunately, when I pay the price the dealer call Carlo told me I had to buy 6 month warranty for this car cost 1.5k or the bank will not approve the loan, I said I don't think so, and then the Gm told me that if I don't buy the warranty the bank will charge additional 384 for "bank fee", I don't want to waste more time, so I take the "bank fee" then they told me to buy the insurance, after I bought my insurance, they print the contract , I find that the price for this car increase from 7500 to 7989, which will be 500 more and they said is bank fee(384) , and then an additional 125 was also charge from my contract , that means I paid 9200 for 7500 car. And they told me the bank charge me 7% interest when I got 700 for my credit scores. For now the bank still not calling me about the loan.that I tying to tell you guys is this dealer is not a professional dealer, they will charge you as much as they can for the car, don't come only because they list the car for a good price, because you will pay much more than the price. Bought a car from Bridge Auto Sales in Berlin for $5300. Within 24 hrs the air conditioning, electronic dash module including radio, clock and USB, heated leather seats did not work. The front fender also fell off while I was driving home the day I bought the car. Under body damage and cracks too. Dealership became nasty. Salesperson kept calling and texting me asking me on dates. Found out the air conditioner compressor is bad $900. Still waiting on other estimates of broken parts. Worst part?? I paid $295 for tags and title transfer. Dealer said they had to mail both my house because they needed the title to go get the tags for me. Today my temp tags expire and the dealer DOES NOT HAVE MY TITLE!! When I call Bridge Auto Sales they say the title has a prior lien on it so they can't send it to me. I paid cash for the car and I need the title! This car was a birthday gift for my 17 year old son. His birthday was May 19th. I'm very upset. read more

Completely unable to be trusted. Found a Volkswagen GLI within my price range online. Got in touch with a salesman and set an appointment to check the car out and hopefully buy it. The first of many lies came when they told me someone else was looking to buy the car and was waiting on financing from USAA, a military friendly credit union that I personally started dealing with a decade ago after joining the Marine Corps and have nothing but great experiences with. I've gotten vehicle financing through them multiple times instantly over the phone. The next lie came when they told me it would cost $195 to switch my registration from a Ford Explorer to the Volkswagen because the state of New Jersey won't allow it. The vehicle I eventually purchased, not from them obviously, was also a Volkswagen sedan and the registration was switched for $4.50. The next lie came after they ran my credit to figure out the financing. They told me my credit score, and after eventually buying a car from another dealership, I found out they told me it was 40 points lower then it actually is. I then put over half down on the vehicle and financed roughly $2500 over 54 months to get the monthly payments where I needed them. I took the vehicle home over an hour away that night. The next lie came when I got a call the next afternoon saying the bank wouldn't finance less then $3000. They told me I would have to come back and they would refund me some of my down payment to get the amount financed up to $3000, but the monthly payments would increase by 25%. I told them I wouldn't buy the car for that much and would be dropping it off and getting a refund. I brought the car back and the next lie came when I was told by the general sales manager that he deals with USAA personally and knows for a fact that USAA or any other bank will not give a vehicle loan or any other kind of loan for less then $3000. Immediately after leaving the dealership I called USAA to see what they could do about financing a vehicle and was told they would happily finance as little as $2500 as long as the vehicle is worth it. I've now been arguing with Bridge for a week to get a check cut for the down payment I gave them after they told me it would be sent via Fed Ex and I would receive a tracking number within 2 days. I would rather ride my bike the 26 mile round trip to work I have every day then to even think about buying a car from this awful dealership again.
