I closed my checking and savings accounts sometime ago and opted for PNC where I always get answers to my questions and am remembered in the two branches I frequent. Today, I ended the affair with TD by closing out my safe deposit box. First, I waited close to 30 minutes to be seen by someone. Then it took another 45 minutes. There was a minor dispute over a second key and I was charged $25 for turning in only one key. When asked if I would be reimbursed if I turned in the second key they allegedly gave me when I opened the box, the girl waiting on me who was probably not old enough to drink, replied she didn't know and it would be up to management and I'd have to deal with it IF I ever returned the second key. Prior to closing my accounts, I waited upward of 10 days for payroll checks to clear into my account. Service was always snotty at best. That place blows. Way to go with killing the Commerce reputation and fond memories I have of quick service and friendly staff.

I am a non account holding customer who walked in to cash a clients check. I have done so before at other locations with larger amounts seamlessly. From the 3 to 5 min with the teller staring down to the manager who it took me calling corporate to speak to not speaking to me with any dignity. ; all with the client who wrote the check on the phone.
