I expected to pay for regular highlights and would have appreciated being told about the price and service change before proceeding. Unfortunately, I also did not like the final result. The color was much darker than the picture I showed, and the outcome was very different from what I had requested. For the price I paid, I expected much better communication and a result closer to the reference photo. I'm especially disappointed that the cost was not discussed with me upfront. I would recommend getting the exact service and price confirmed before starting.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other parents should be aware of my experience…read more My daughter worked all summer to save up for her back-to-school hair appointment. Before booking, we were quoted $170 online. When we arrived, that same price was confirmed again in person, so we felt comfortable moving forward. To our surprise, after the service was completed, we were charged $350--more than double the quoted price. At no point during the appointment were we told the price had changed or given the opportunity to approve the additional cost before the work continued. If the final price was going to be significantly higher, that should have been communicated upfront so we could make an informed decision. Transparent pricing is especially important when working with young clients who have saved their own money. I'm sharing this experience so other parents know to ask for the final total in writing before the service begins and to confirm that the quoted price will not change without their approval. Unfortunately, our experience left us feeling disappointed and blindsided.

Hanh is the best!…read more Made an appointment after learning that she's specialized in butterfly haircuts and wow she did not disappoint. She was very thorough during the consultation to make sure I understand what she is about to do and that I also get what I came in for. My original hair was highlighted (super bleached/ashy) and had a bad layered cut (turns out I had a mullet I wasn't aware of lol). I wanted to return to my natural color and also get a cut to even out my layers. Within two hours, Hanh achieved the color and cut seamlessly through proper and detailed steps to repair my damaged hair. My experience with her was fantastic. She is so bubbly and fun to talk to and she is an expert in her field. I have never learned so much about hair ever in my life! Even for styling, she gave so many tips. Hanh, you should consider teaching if you ever plan to! Overall, I am a happy customer that left with beautiful voluminous hair. Will be back for a maintenance cut and a fun girly chat!

THE BEST If I could…read moregive her 10 stars, I absolutely would. I literally just got my haircut and had to write this review before even leaving, she's that good. I'll admit, I was pretty nervous going in since I hadn't had a haircut in years. My hair is straight, flat, and typically hard to style, and I was hoping to add some volume and soft curls but wasn't sure what would actually work. Hanh immediately put me at ease with her warm, funny, and welcoming personality. She's genuinely so kind. During the consultation, she really took the time to understand what I wanted and helped refine my ideas into something even better. I walked away feeling confident and excited instead of anxious. I showed her a few inspiration photos, and she didn't just match them--she completely exceeded them. She absolutely nailed the look, even better than I imagined. I rarely write reviews, but this experience truly deserved one. I'll definitely be coming back to her again!

I am a natural dirty blonde trying to get a silver balayage. I showed the stylist photos and she consulted with her fellow stylist what I want and told me they can get very close to what I want. I was also told $175 for a promotional offer. After sitting about 6 hours, it looked very similar to what I had come into the salon with. Nothing close to what I wanted. Also I ended up paying approximately $400 because they needed to use extra product for the amount of hair I have. I was never informed this until checkout. Imagine going in thinking of spending around $200 but paid about $400 to get nothing near what I wanted.

As someone who wears hijab, finding a salon where I can comfortably get my hair done with some privacy can be challenging. I called Sassy Do's on a Wednesday morning and explained my situation. They were incredibly accommodating and let me know that while they can't prevent people from coming into the salon, they could set up a partition/wall to give me some privacy during my haircut. Honestly, this meant so much to me and made the whole experience much more comfortable. My hairstylist was Kimberly, and she was awesome! She immediately made me feel comfortable in her chair and really listened to what I wanted to do with my hair. My hair was very long and curly, and I was ready to take a lot of it off. Kimberly did express some concerns about how much I wanted to cut because of how my curls would change and how manageable the shorter length might be, but I really appreciated that she took the time to explain everything while still meeting me where I wanted my hair to be. We also had a great conversation throughout the appointment. Overall, I had such a great experience. I really appreciated how accommodating Sassy Do's was with my privacy needs, and Kimberly did a wonderful job making me feel heard and comfortable. I would definitely go back to Kimberly for another haircut and styling when my hair is ready for it! Highly recommend, especially if you're looking for a stylist who will actually listen to what you want while still giving you honest professional advice.
