As anyone who has planned a wedding knows, there's high stress and sometimes things go wrong. Specifically, the day before the wedding we had a hiccup with our florist. I called Natalie in tears and she was quick to take on the task of making sure the flowers were fixed. She communicated with the florist throughout the day making sure that all bouquets, centerpieces and arrangements turned out the way they were supposed to, keeping me in the loop along the way. I appreciated her drive and organizational skills from our very first emails. Our wedding was fraught with planning drama, and despite the fact that we only booked partial planning services, Helayne went above and beyond to help us out when our planning experience hit the rocks. She is the perfect balance of honest and accepting. I know our wedding was offbeat and one with many firsts for her, but she never made us feel like our choices were any less meaningful just because they weren't "traditional." However, she didn't shy away from having the hard conversations - she told us bad news plainly, and honestly, but always had a backup plan. She doesn't sugarcoat things, which, when you're planning an event, is a valuable asset. Despite our planning drama, I almost began to enjoy watching her handle vendors on our behalf - she has this masterful ability to question people in such a way that she gets a truthful answer from them, even if they don't want to give it. Maybe it comes from her history as a teacher! My mother described Helayne as a military general, and that is absolutely accurate. She is meticulous, prepared, grounded, realistic, and capable. And maybe has a secret twin, because I'm not sure how else she managed to be everywhere at once on our wedding day.

After spending multiple hours going over every single detail of my wedding (details that I had no idea would matter), I felt completely confident in Helayne! She did not leave one stone left unturned! My wedding rehearsal went by flawlessly, due to her patience, attention to detail and overall joyous personality! On the day of my wedding, Helayne worked proficiently making sure every detail we previously talked about was executed. And executed, it was! My setup was gorgeous, my bridal party was always in the loop and never once out of place. She made sure that my photographer was taking all the right pictures, my bridal party was getting ready at the right time, and that my bride to be was stress free! I never once lost confidence in Helayne and her services! After we said "I do", I was able to sit back, relax and completely enjoy my reception. She was even flexible when I decided during the reception to cut out the bouquet toss and other events because I simply wanted to dance! She never lost patience, even when my DJ turned out to need more help then he should of. Helayne went up and remind him what to announce and when to announce it (even though she provided him with a detailed itinerary). She made sure to check in with the my family/friends that were part of our reception to give them a heads up before they were needed. We chose the one down by the creek area. The pavilion for the reception is spacious and has a nice attached deck with additional benches for guests to use. There is also seating under the trees and a nice flagstone patio at the entrance. Candy had some good suggestions for planning and was available to answer our questions. The small house attached to the pavilion has a nice dressing area for the wedding party, and there are 4 bathrooms for guests to use. All of the staff members were friendly and helpful. My husband, Phil, and I waited for 3 years for this wedding because of COVID. At first, it was going to be at Wedgewood Brittany Hill in CO, then it got cancelled because of COVID, then Wedgewood Carmel in CA when things started to reopen, and finally we moved it to Hofmann Ranch because my mom is struggling with complications from her double knee replacement surgeries that were postponed because of COVID and she couldn't fly to CA. The day before our wedding, Southwest cancelled Phil's best man's and his wife's flights, Phil's cousins' flights, and my friend's flights and my uncle had to drive all the way from San Diego the day before the wedding. We were beyond worried and devastated. Because of the Hofmann Ranch team, we felt so secure and so loved and our families and friends were able to meet each other for the first time and connect with each other. Britney thought of everything: making sure that my mom had a place to sit so that she could march with me halfway down the path of the patio deck, she held onto my train, she made a water color Phannie drink sign that was gorgeous, she made sure that we ate, she thought of every single detail and schedule change when our families kept talking and singing (this is what happens when you get a whole bunch of Filipinos together LOL), she made sure that Phil and I ate food, and there are countless other things that I am sure that we don't know about. Giving Britney my bouquet was the only way that I could say how grateful I was for creating a magical place and experience in spite of all the obstacles. A month later we discovered very disturbing information about the fiancé causing the wedding to be cancelled. We were all distraught, especially the bride to be. Thirty days after the deposit was paid to Allison, and seven months before the event, we requested the photography deposit be returned. Allison had not done any work. The date was blocked out on her calendar for a short period of time and the wedding would have been in seven months, plenty of time to book another affair. Other service vendors such as the venue, lighting, lodging, transportation, bakery, and band who also not done any work to date happily refunded their deposits. The wedding planner returned most of her deposit. Even the jewelry store took back the engagement ring for a full refund. They understood our family's pain and the bride's trauma. Allison Jeffers has no compassion and only cares about money. She refuses to return the deposit. If you engage her be careful about giving her the large deposit she requests. Unexpected events happen in life. Hire vendors who will treat you with fairness and understanding.

We found Floral Elegance on a wedding website in December 2010 and after much research, we decided…read moreto go with them for our wedding because of their beautiful arrangements and good reviews. Our wedding was not for a while, but we felt it was necessary to book our date: 9-10-11. I emailed Adriana about our interest and she responded quickly. She asked us what we were looking for and for our budget. She then proceeded to email me with what she proposed we could do for our budget and she set up an appointment for me and my fiance to go into their store. Upon arrival at the shop, we were met by a male assistant that informed us that Adriana would not be available because she was meeting with another bride (she said she would personally be meeting with us). Adriana's husband seemed to feel bad that we were not able to meet with Adriana, so he tryed to intercept our questions, but only made things harder for us. The assistant had no clue what we were working on with Adriana and pushed his own ideas on us. Everytime we would try to give him an idea of what we wanted, he persuaded us against it. Due to HIS flower choices for us, it caused our proposal price to go up $1000 (we did not discover this price difference until 2 weeks later when they emailed us)!!! They were unable to provide us with vases to our liking (which they insisted on purchasing for us-to add to our price), so we told them not to include it in our pricing. After several emails back and forth (over a 4 month time period) we became very frustrated and decided to wait a little while to decide on the flowers (since we had put $ down to secure our date and had time). It would take at least a week for a response, up to 3 weeks on one occasion. After still not having a signed proposal or agreed upon flowers, Adriana emailed me and requested us to pay a 50% deposit. WE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT FLOWERS/VASES OR ARRANGEMENTS WE NEEDED, but they were still asking for money. Now after some hardships, we are unable to shell out $3300 in flowers, and have decided to use that money some where else that might be more useful. We emailed Adriana to see if we could use the $150 deposit we put down towards a bouquet for myself (so I can still have a beautiful bouquet) and she responded: "I am sorry we cannot use the deposit on a cancelled wedding contract for 1 floral bouquet. You are basically cancelling the contract and want to use the $150.00 on one item. The $150.00 is part of the time spent on putting everything together and research for ideas done especially for your wedding . I hope you understand." Really?!?!? We never even saw this lady and her ASSISTANT met with us once for 1 hour, sent maybe 4 emails and they can't give us flowers for the money we spent? I think that is very rude considering the service we received. Floral Elegance is obviously a retailer that has to overprice their flowers for the retail space they pay for and refuse to honor money when it is put down for services. I was excited to have them cater our wedding, but I feel that because we weren't willing to pay more than $3,000 for flowers they are not going to accomodate us as well as the up-scale weddings in Stone Oak that they cater to.
