They care more about money than they do the bride. They are all trained to be sleazy salesmen. Kristin was incredibly rude when I emailed asking for my return. Refused to provide proof or call and talk to me, (Probably because she knew she was in the wrong and treating me poorly). Instead she emailed with a condescending, belittling tone. Proving she's much more comfortable with her 'see you next Tuesday' approach rather than a helpful one. Brides already have enough to worry about. You shouldn't have to worry about being scammed. Trust me, if you address it and ask for proof, they'll just let you know they could've charged more. read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!! Go somewhere else that won't lie to you about dresses and what color(s) they come in. Now that my girls have to re-select their bridesmaids dresses at a completely different store because these people neglected to do their jobs correctly. If they tell you that dress comes in a certain color, make them triple check that information. 4 months until my wedding. Unbelievable. (Yes we went there way in advance. They just decided to not tell us about the dress not coming in the color we selected until it was convenient for them. Not to mention they had nobody on staff to help refund my girls / help.) read more

With any Bridal Shops, you'll always want to schedule an appointment to make sure you have a dedicated stylist and fitting room. As part Bridal Elegance's process in scheduling an appointment, they ask that you share your budget and any style preferences. Since I already knew which style I liked, I went through their designers and made sure each individual dress was available at their location by using the locator feature. Then I saved each dress to a Pinterest board. In my email response to Bridal Elegance, I shared the one specific dress style that I like, my pinterest board, and my updated budget. When I arrived to Bridal Elegance, the only thing that they remembered from my email was that I updated my budget to $500 less than what I stated. The stylist that was assigned to me was very nice but I felt like I had to suggest to her to take my phone and look through my pinterest board multiple times to help me find the dresses that I saw online. Out of the 20 dresses that I identified to supposedly be "available" at their location, they were only able to find two dresses. The stylist mentioned they do sell floor samples and that most of what I had on my board was sold out. However, I personally think they didn't find some of the dresses I liked because it was out of my price range which I think is a miss on their part because shoppers could change their mind if they're in love with a product. What I liked about my experience there is the stylist lets you try on the dresses and take time to reflect with you in the fitting room before going out to show your friends and family. My overall experience at Bridal Elegance wasn't the most positive. I just felt like a number to them and they didn't offer any beverages (not even water!). The other nice thing that they do is they text you after your appointment to hear about your experience. read more

My sisters Bridal Party made plans to have an all day 'Dress Shopping Mission.' She made appointments at "Spring Lake Bridal" and "Davids Bridal." Our group is from Muskegon, so we planned to shop in Spring lake at 230 and Davids at 430. Springlake Bridal called at 130 to regretfully inform us that all appointments need to be rescheduled due to a power outage ....this is when my sister experienced her first Bridezilla moment. I called Bridal Elegance and they were able to get us right in at 230. We were 15 minutes late due to 28th street traffic. When you walk in the door you have to take off your shoes. (so the dresses dont get dirty) It made me feel like we were playing dress up at a sleepover. Very cute and comfortable environment. Coffee was proved by the coffee shop across the street. Amanda was the name of the girl who helped us shop. She was really cool and honest. She did a great job of helping my sister find a dress in her budget range, even if the price on the tag was WAY over her spending limit. Amanda would add in the discount and/or check to see that the price hadn't gone down recently. My sister tried on about 10 dresses. The first 2 were her favorites. She chose the second. The dress is absolutely gorgeous. By paying for the dress up front, my sister saved hundreds of dollars. We canceled the appointment for Davids (an appointment made 2 months prior bc that is how far back they're booked) And went to dinner. If I could give them zero stars I would. During the initial try on session (for bridesmaid dresses), everything was fine. The stylist was kind and was good at managing 3 girls looking through bridesmaid dresses. However, it was not an extraordinary experience by any means. The bride went back 3 weeks later with the other half of the bridal party and was extremely annoyed with the customer service. Now, at the time of purchase, it was 4 months before the wedding. We were assured that this was plenty of time to order the dress and get alterations. With 2 months of not hearing a word from them, I called and was told the dresses would not be in the store until 3 weeks before the wedding. When I expressed concern over this, the woman on the phone got a bit rude and stated "getting bridesmaid dresses a month before the wedding is normal, even if you need alterations". She seemed snarky and even laughed a little on the phone like "oh God.. another annoying bride/bridesmaid". Crossing my fingers this will all work out because 2 of the 5 girls got their bridesmaid dresses here. Overall, do not recommend. Save yourself the stress and go somewhere else! read more

Had to go here as I had driven by for years. It is a pretty store, dresses are average quality, some definitely over priced. Customer service is not personal and just "look and tell us what you want put in a room to try on". Dressing rooms are larger than normal, but not a plus to me as I was looking for my wedding gown and an experience not a big room with no service. There were limited styles and size selections as I am petite and you just can get a good idea with the sizes of some dresses. I also would have liked to see more accessories. read more

There are a couple of huge potholes you could potentially avoid if you come down Orange Street and park in the parking lot designated to the place as opposed to the one on the side of the building. The entrance is also facing Orange Street. Of course, it must be the thing that you take off your shoes, but it would be better if all the staff took there's off too. The service was okay, and not very personable. We were told that we could just hang the dresses we liked on the hooks and they'd put them in the room. I wasn't sure how they'd be able to distinguish the ones we picked from other people's choices, but since we were the only ones there for the time being it was okay. We found several wedding gowns for my sister to try on, and a few bridesmaids dresses that my other sister and I tried on. We did see a couple of dresses we liked. I was pretty annoyed that even though we weren't finished trying a dress on someone came in to ask if they could try on one that we had in our dressing room. I think they should have made them wait since we had it first. Anyways, the dressing rooms are huge here, and really nice for a few people to share. I think this place does make for quick service, but not very personalized. read more

I did find it a little odd to take of my shoes every time I came in. (which seemed like a lot by the end!) My dress was amazing and I never had a problem with the service. Like I wanted a type of shawl I had found in a magazine, a few days later I received an email from one of the girls saying they could get it, but it was not dye able, and had I considered these? Some things like the veils are rather pricy there. The alterations were reasonable priced, my seamstress was great, and things were done quickly. There undergarments are very well priced, like the same as what you will find on amazon. They accommodated my family group of 7 people fabulously and thoroughly entertained my four year old niece (twirling in her gown, going back and forth between her two picks, and fitting her with a tiara!). I went here looking at dresses because they carried a designer I really like however the customer service was very lacking. I wanted to try a dress that was on the mannequin and when I asked the sales associate helping me if she could take it off the mannequin so I could try it she said "I'd really rather not, but if you really want to try it on then I will." Having worked in retail for years I was appalled! As the customer I shouldn't feel like I am an inconvenience! I later found a dress I liked however most of the questions I had, the sales associate could not answer for I was given vague answers. I am very disappointed by my experience here. I purchased my bridesmaid dress through this store, as the bride also got her dress here. The ordering process was fine. I bought the dress at least two sizes large intentionally, in the event that I might be pregnant and would need the extra room. This ended up not being the case, so I had my alterations done through the store. After the first round of alterations, the dress was too tight, and the seamstress said she would let it out. The seamstress requested that I come back the week of the wedding to try it on again, and it was still far too tight. Just to clarify here, I had not gained any weight between fittings. I thought I could make it work, so took the dress home, but after trying it on again that night with feedback from my husband, decided to call the store to see if they could do anything. The salesperson I talked to in the store was kind; however, informed me that the particular seamstress I worked with only drove out to the store once a week due to her age. She asked if I would be willing to drive out to the person's home (30 min away) so that she could work on it. I agreed, because I did not have an alternative. Unfortunately, when I called the seamstress to obtain her address, she scolded me over the phone stating, "I told you it was too tight." She was kind when I got to her house, but her crankiness over the phone was upsetting. I picked up the completed dress the day before the wedding, and while it was better, it was still snug, but I was told that it was taken out as far as it could. It was tolerable, but not attractive. On the day of the wedding, I was in the dress for approximately two hours before the seam split on the side, tearing the sheer part of the fabric. We were unable to try to sew it by hand and I was left with a 2 inch gap on my side. I'm very disappointed with the seamstress's work and the stress it caused leading up to and on the day of the wedding. I think this store has some talented people working in it, but unfortunately I did not get one of them. With the cost of alterations, I sunk $300 into a dress that tore after only 2 hours of wearing it. read more

Bridal Elegance was the 3rd of 4 appointments my sister & I had in a quest for her wedding. This salon is very nicely decorated and you feel right at home. The attention my sister received was outstanding and the professional help was appreciated. We found their pricing even better than Davids Bridal for comparable gowns. Their alteration pricing was significantly cheaper than Davids. The 2nd floor sample sale was a fun place to check out, and the attention was just as outstanding as downstairs. We dropped in after a disappointing visit at another salon. We were treated like gold and were able to try on a few dresses. We scheduled a full appointment for another day and my daughter found the perfect dress for her! The bridesmaid dresses were also ordered here - great selection! Two of the bridesmaids were from out of state, but the process worked great. Alterations were done quickly and very well. The whole process involved several visits as my daughter chose the dress, veil, bridesmaids, and alterations. At each visit, the staff was exceptional! Kandel was amazing, as was everyone in the shop. It is a beautiful shop, with lots of space and special touches to make it feel like a salon, not a store. We truly felt cared for as we prepared for the big day! It was a shorter engagement, but the staff kept us completely informed as to the status and shipping dates of our orders.
