I was not happy with the poor color match, but they insisted that it was the best they could do. The work was supposed to be guaranteed for life, but when I returned a few years later they wouldn't honor the guarantee. The hood respray was done poorly and paint started flaking off, revealing the original paint underneath. Luckily my insurance company did honor the warranty and sent me to another shop. To be fair, I will say that the original work was done promptly and within the time they promised.

These reactions are especially true when you are relatively new to an area and have not even needed to find an auto shop to do the basics because after all we too frequently choose the FAST and EASY corporate oil change locations rather than creating a relationship with a local shop. After reading some reviews and noting the convenient Toms River location of Craig and Lisa's plus ... yes, it matters to some including the family member in distress ... having a woman to talk with a woman made a huge difference and Lisa I was told was AWESOME, PATIENT, and showcased her knowledge. Thankfully there was no need to check the bank statements for this service and there was no use of imaginary terms that some mechanics tend to use. Lisa was clear in explaining the problem, offered more than one solution, and in the end took care of the problem at an extremely reasonable price! In this one small transaction Craig and Lisa gained a regular customer for all auto care!!!

So I explained that the car is 11 years old and 60 thousand miles. Maybe just change the old transmission oil and do the oil change. The day before I called and he said the car does have codes but he would not tell me what the codes were. I asked to only fix the codes related to the transmission not anything else because there are 3 recalls to be fixed by the dealership that would not cost me any thing. so he just changed the oil and drained the transmission. But when giving me a ride back to get my car he said he had to drain the trans twice because it was so bad and said he was concerned about that? But would not say what his concerns were? Instead he asked personal questions that were very inappropriate . In my mind tell me what codes you found , what are your concerns about old trans fluid not what a 78 year olds love life is like! And when paying there where no signs saying they charge 3% if you use a credit card. No mention of it. So he said my charge was $594.05 but the charge was 611.87.and the side of my car had major mud splashed and dried on the passenger side which I did not see till I got home. So i would never go back to PPT ever again.
