First time trying Bricktop's and we enjoyed it! The food was great and the service was good too. Great ambiance vibe. My favorite thing we tried was the Crazy Tuna Roll... AMAZING (and of course it was the one thing I forgot to get a picture of ). I gave them 4 stars because even though it was really good, I still wouldn't put them at the top of my favorite list. I'm sure we will be back again though! read more

This is my favorite dinner/lunch spot in GVL. I've had various items from the menu including steak frites, crab cakes, ahi tuna bowl, plus more. Nothing has ever disappointed. Our servers are always kind and knowledgeable. Highly recommend ! read more

So three of us sat in a large half round booth.. That was fine. Was a large dining area with a horseshoe type bar with one television in the front. As soon as you walk through the door. Staff is very kind and attentive. The spicy tuna roll was very good. Two of us ordered the cedar plank salmon. It was fresh tasting. But honestly kinda bland and we highly doubted that it was cooked on a cedar plank. In my experience, typically, it's served on the Cedar plank as part of the Plating. It wasn't and did not have that taste to it. Granted, this is my first time at this place.. I think it's worth another. Try and honestly, I would prefer to sit at the bar and try some appetizers and have a couple of cocktails. read more

Returned to Bricktop's with a large group around 11am on a Saturday. Most important thing to note is that they don't offer brunch on Saturdays. This wasn't a problem, as their lunch menu was still delightful. I got a Caesar Salad with salmon, it was wonderful! Another person in my party got the Bistro Chicken. The presentation was spectacular. Both of our entrees were cooked to perfection. We also got a crowd favorite appetizer (as you can see from the hand reaching in to the frame) - the deviled eggs with candied bacon. The bacon looked much different from the first time we came here a couple of years ago, but still contained the same level of deliciousness. Our server was kind and made sure everyone was happy with their meal. Overall 10 out of 10, will definitely return!! read more

I've been to Bricktop's twice now and have really enjoyed both times! It's a great, mid-priced restaurant to have a nice dinner to celebrate an occasion or to bring your family when they're in town. The servers both times were wonderful, super friendly and informative. It's a super popular spot, so I recommend making a reservation. The wait for the food can be long as well, so I would not come starving or in a hurry. The only real thing I dislike about the restaurant is that when it's crowded, it gets really loud and becomes difficult to hold a conversation with raising your voice or borderline yelling. We ordered the bread and deviled eggs for appetizers. I LOVED the deviled eggs, the filling was so creamy and well seasoned. For entrees, we got the crab cakes, ribeye, and ribs. They are not skimpy on the crab meat in the crab cakes and the order comes with two pieces and a side (I had fries). Sometimes I worry about being full after ordering crab cakes at some restaurants, but this is definitely a good amount of food. The remoulade sauce is tasty-- though this time it felt heavy on the horseradish and burned my nose haha The ribs are so tender and very flavorful. The portion is huge! The ribeye steak is also very good, but I noticed that there tends to be a little more pink than expected, so it might be worth asking for it to be cooked a bit longer if that's your thing. I'm sure it's at the correct internal temperature, but for me, the pink color can be off-putting. The potatoes au gratin had a ridiculous amount of cheese. The cookie skillet for desert is a must! It's gooey and comes with a scoop of ice cream. Definitely get that to share! My partner also ordered the key lime pie, and it does not taste artificial. It really had the tartness from the citrus. Overall would recommend coming here if you're going with your family to celebrate something. If you actually need to hear what the person next to you is saying or are sensitive to noise, it's perhaps not the spot for you. read more

One of those spots that was so good we had to come back the next day. If you are lucky enough to remember Houston's restaurant in its hey day- you will love it here. Great shareables, amazing sushi, high end sandwiches, great fish, and incredible dessert are offered up on the diverse menu. Fun cocktails and nice wines by the glass. Good acoustics and soft warm lighting make for a great place for a date or catch up. Seamless quick service. Big circular bar w large sidewalk facing windows are perfect for solo dining or people watching. I'd be such a regular here if I lived in Greenville! read more

We were excited to try Bricktops tonight for an early supper. The service was good and our appetizer of artichoke spinach dip was tasty. Unfortunately, my entree was inedible. I ordered the special, trout almondine with a side of spinach, and it was unbelievably salty. I enjoy a well-seasoned meal but this was over the top and I notified our server. She kindly offered to get me something else but I declined. An unfortunate experience that will likely keep us from returning. We were excited to try Bricktops tonight for an early supper. Bricktops tends to fly under the radar in Greenville, located on Main Street downtown. If you're nostalgic, you might remember it as the former Woolworths store from years gone by. As a southeastern chain, Bricktops has locations in about 9-10 cities, including Nashville, Naples, Charlotte, and Palm Springs. The restaurant features an upscale ambiance with chandelier lighting, white tablecloths, and professional servers. We were seated promptly at our 6:30 PM reservation. There is a separate and inviting bar area where several guests were enjoying drinks and dining. Bricktops offers various specials, with their meatloaf being a house favorite. We opted for the grilled trout served with spinach and baked potatoes, which was delightful. The drink menu boasts a fine selection of wines and craft beers. To finish, we indulged in the warm bread pudding, which was excellent. The service was prompt and friendly. Make sure to add Bricktops to your must-visit list! read more

This restaurant is large yet maintains its quality and service. The food was delicious and it came out fast. All of the food was cooked to perfection. The filet mignon was delicious and reasonably priced. I substituted the side for their French fries, they were so thin and crispy! It is a nice restaurant to go to for dinner or a celebration. They were family friendly yet elegant. This restaurant is versatile yet high quality. I will definitely return! All entrees were great! read more

Love this place! Great bar happy hour. Best service in Greenville ! Try the charred grapefruit cocktail.

5 stars not enough as this place soars. Reminds me of awesome St Elmo's in Indy. Service beyond platinum. We felt special & Hui service was personal & top shelf. The food from steaks crispy brussel sprouts & baked potatoes all magnificent. The wedge salad super crispy. Oh so fresh. My husband and I came in for snacks + drinks while walking around downtown. We've walked by this place many times and had walked in once before around dinner time and the place was wayyy too packed so this time we walked in around 5pm (on a Saturday), before the dinner rush. The bar here is designed beautifully and is very lively. It was already pretty busy at 5pm but we were lucky enough to find just 2 seats at the bar. We ordered prickly pear margarita and gin and tonic, and both were excellent - not overly sweet and made with just the right amount of alcohol. Since the bar area is pretty big, there are multiple bartenders and they're quick and attentive. We ordered Crazy Tuna roll and Hollywood roll and both came out quickly and were delicious. Most people sitting at the bar were ordering sushi and/or appetizers with drinks. To get an actual table on a weekend evening, I think you'd have to have a reservation or wait a while (1+ hours). I cannot comment on the entrees but we will definitely be coming back for more drinks and small bites! read more

Visited downtown Greenville today for the first time. My nephew directed us to the Bricktop for lunch. We got there shortly after noon. It wasn't crowded so we got seated right away. Lucy our server greeted shortly after seating. I want to give her a shout out. She was awesome! Very attentive and took care of us very well from start to finish.... Thank you Lucy!!! We started with the deviled eggs with millionaire bacon. Perfectly delicious and the bacon was sticky, sweet and yummy! For entrees I ordered the Tavern Burger with fries, my wife ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and a side of crispy Brussels sprouts. My nephew order the same and his wife ordered steak frites. My burger was perfectly cooked and delicious. The shoestring fries were hot and very well prepared. My wife and nephew enjoyed the meatloaf and his wife said the steak was cooked and was very good. Overall it was a wonderful meal and experience. The price was fair for the meal and service received. read more

Started on a high note with some solid appetizers. The grilled artichoke and sushi roll were both enjoyable and set a promising tone for the meal. Unfortunately, the barbecue chicken salad entree didn't quite land. It arrived with an overwhelming amount of dressing, making it difficult to eat. Our server was kind and offered to bring something else, which was appreciated, though I declined. Where things fell a little short was at the end of the meal when the dish remained on the bill. For a restaurant at this level, a small gesture of goodwill when a dish misses the mark can make a big difference in how a guest feels walking out the door. Overall a decent experience with some bright spots, and the staff was genuinely friendly but didn't offer to take off the salad that couldn't be eaten. I'd be open to returning and giving it another shot, hoping for a more balanced finish next time. read more

We had a 5 pm reservation and were put on the patio with the sun baking my back and my husband's eyes - it was pretty quiet inside and on the patio but we wanted to people-watch so we sucked it up. Our server was an absolute doll (Kaylie? Something with a K) and really made our dinner fun and special. I didn't have a chance to scope out the restrooms or the rest of the interior, but the patio was nothing to write home about. The crispy brussel sprouts that were a side dish, we chose to have as an appetizer. They're good but VERY oily. I had cedar-plank salmon (yum!) and the sauteed spinach on the side was a big ol' yawn. My spouse had the ribeye with the biggest, mutant baked potato I'd ever seen, but the menu said that it was meant to be a twice-baked potato. Oh well! If we're back in town for another weekend getaway, I would definitely eat there again! read more

Mostly empty restaurant. The silly girls who are supposed to be a hostess try to push people to the bar. Ask for a table for 2, in a mostly empty restaurant, and "we are experiencing a 15 minute or more wait (with nobody waiting)". Clearly business is so good in this establishment that they can play with customers and push them away. This is what puts restaurants out of business. read more

We LOVE this place. Both times we have come without a reservation but were lucky enough to grab seats at the bar. Service has been great as well as the drinks. The ambiance is that of an upscale restaurant but yet still feels casual. Our favorites so far were the prime rib, shrimp, and tuna stack which we got our first time there and this time we ordered lobster bisque, calamari and split the filet. Honestly I'm not sure you could go wrong with anything on the menu. This is now a downtown staple for us! **update: we have been back a few times now and have had very hit or miss experiences since the first two times we went. The bistro chicken was incredibly dry with very little flavor. My fiancé got the prime rib again and it came out cold, he sent it back and got a slightly warmer piece, but still not very warm. And I ordered an old fashioned that was way too sweet, my second one I asked them to go lighter on the simple syrup and it was a little better. I still think they have some great menu items and good service but it seems like it depends on what you order, unfortunately. read more

We haven't been back to Greenville in about 9 months and noticed that Bricktop's opened where Brooks Brothers was previously located. They had a lovely outdoor area so we decided to have dinner there. The service was fantastic, food came out quickly and was amazing! The calamari was also delightful and my husband loved the ahi tuna steak. 10/10 would recommend! read more

Good, not great...safe bet. Food quality was good, value C+. Service was above average. We had the cedar plank salmon, sprouts, ribeye, carrot cake. Salmon was quite good, sprouts were good, finish (sear) on the steak was less than I would've anticipated, also spice on the steak dish was lackluster, (needed more garlic, herb, rosemary spices) carrot cake quite good. We sat on the patio area, which we very much enjoyed since it was a perfect night. Will go back someday and try some other dishes. Thx. read more

This was my first time here. It was great! The location is right downtown where Brooks Brothers used to be. Knowing the prior location was a retail store they did an amazing job converting it into a nice restaurant. Hats off to the team in charge of the remodel. The food was spot on. The Eggs Benedict was one of the best I've ever had. I'm addicted to those donuts now! They have open patio and bar seating options. I look forward to visiting them again. read more

My favorite sandwich in the entire world is a French Dip. I've had many bad ones but Bricktops was outstanding. Prime rib beef, buttered toasted bun, NO cheese or anything else, which is the correct way to make a French Dip. The interior is absolutely beautiful, elegant but welcoming. This was our first visit and it was a great experience from start to finish. We had 6:30 Saturday reservations and checked in about 6:20-6:25. The place was packed with a few other parties waiting as well. It was much nicer inside than I'd anticipated. Beautiful bar area with lit shelving and nice lighting throughout. We were sat between 6:30-6:35. We shared the tempura large shrimp (6 of them) with a sweet and spicy sauce over a bed of shaved lettuce with yumyum sauce. My wife and I loved it. The tempura batter was perfect. Crunchy & light. For dinner my wife had the lazy lobster tails. She chosen to have one baked and the other fried. Being Mainers, we'd never had fried lobster tails. It was delicious! The lobster was tender and juicy and the coating was nicely crunchy and not greasy at all. The fries were like larger potato sticks, cooked perfectly. I chose to have sushi and ordered the tempura shrimp with asparagus topped with filet mignon and yumyum sauce. It was incredible. A large roll sliced into 8 pieces. For dessert we shared the key lime pie and the carrot cake. Both were generous servings. The key lime had a very nice lime flavor without being too sweet on a graham macadamia nut crust. The carrot cake was served warm with a wonderful cream cheese frosting and drizzle of caramel. It was also topped with a toasted coconut topping. Wow! It was so good we ordered one to go for our daughter. I had 2 Manhattans that were well made and served timely in a chilled glass. Our server was excellent throughout the entire dinner, answering questions and checking in. It is now one of our new favorites. read more

These 2 photos were from yesterday's visit. We have been to Bricktop's in downtown Greenville several times now since a friend recommended it to us a few months ago. The staff here have been very professional. Steve B. Is our favorite server and he has provided amazing service to us. I find here that there are certain entrees that are better than others and we have been learning what to order and stick with. We love the ambiance and the music selection in the background, and the elbow room as well. What we love on the menu so far is the ribs, hemingway, prime rib, chicken milanese, wedge salad and the deviled eggs. I think any of these are a safe bet for an enjoyable dinner.
